there was no water pressure. washing sand off was a challenge... I can't imagine washing long hair... I think it would take 5hours ATLEAST.
The guy at the desk spoke very good English!! The tube is surprisingly spacious and was fine to sleep in. It was quiet and the atmosphere was chill and laid pack in the common area. PS Air con is pretty hardcore in a small room like that:Recommend asking for a second blanket because with air con it's freezing but with out its like a sauna...

Room was way to small. Literally have to stand in one spot. Loads of mosquitoes and insects in the bathroom because it is open leading to the outdoors.
Unique experience with little cubicle room. Staff were fantastic and really helpful.

We loved the place very much. This was the Best hostel I have been in so far. Location is also good, you can get by bike to the sea. It is quiet a ride but we liked to do a little bit of sport. Tubes are very comfortable. We can very much recommend it.

Nice bathrooms but with mosquitoes.
Common space with kitchen and the different sitting possibilities You can hire bikes. Needed if you want to go cheaply to the beach. Count 20 minutes.

Tubes can be uncomfortable for a long stay, mainly when carrying dive equipment; bathrooms and showers were some times not fully clean
Tubes are clean; friendly and helpful stuff; walking distance in between beaches and town (30 min each side), shower rooms have toilet in the same room, for more privacy

Great use of space, nice common areas with shaded courtyard and hammocks, huge kitchen for free breakfast and cooking. Small room but just enough space for luggage under bed and ac to cool off.

The rounded floor of the tube and the sliding rug could be improved upon, for safety.... a flat panel at the doorway or the rug velcroed to the floor.
Interesting concept - liked staying in a tube. Good air con. Everything kept clean and tidy, Great breakfast. Convenient to rent bikes and go to ruins, beach, and town.
March 21, 2015
The ventilation is poor and the tubes smelled moldy. Too humid and airless to get a good nights sleep. Couldn't turn on the air because the unit was dirty and it freezes you fast. No happy middle ground.
Super great staff, always available and helpful.

Long distance from the beach
Very clean & friendly staff...

Rooms were a bit small

It's pricey but I suppose it is because of the area. We still loved it
The staff were really helpful and the place was really pretty. We stayed in a tent because it's cheaper (not cheap) and it had a light, a fan and a point to charge a phone etc. breakfast was good They rent out bikes nice and cheap for the 2km ride to the beach. It is a lovely ride and flat. Great fun! Plenty of toilets and showers and very clean.

The tubes are very cramped. The bathrooms weren't cleaned regularly enough and breakfast was disappointing
There's plenty to do nearby so I didn't have to spend much time in this accommodation

I left there with multiple Mosquito bites. Bring repellent !!
The staff was very friendly and helped us from my lost luggage to warning me about traveling through Mexico in a car with my friend, also female, and how the police will harass us for money, which they did the next day and got $13 USD from us instead of the 3000 pesos they initially tried to get from us.

Unexpected taxes made the stay pretty expensive considering its a "hostel"
Neat concept, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, great central location.
March 6, 2015
The only minus is the rooms are so small you have no room for your belongings.
Nicke place to hang around. Very firendly staff.

One of our bikes broke, but thy took care of it.
Tubotulum was in a perfect location between town and the beach. The staff was great and able to answer any questions we had. Joel gave us great restaurant recommendations and provided extra towels and blankets. The air conditioning in the tube made it so comfortable!

The tent was cozy, but many muscitos.
The hostel is beautifull, its clean and tidy. the staff is verry nice, and the breakfest is amazing
February 27, 2015
- thight space for two people and their luggage; we expectet more creativty for storage room for this price - there should be more possibilities to ventilate the tubes (we don't mean a/c !!); don't want to know how it will smell after a few years...
- everything seems to be new and well-kept - great common kitchen - location: next to a big supermarket - beach in cycling distance
February 24, 2015
...we can discuss about cleariness ...
February 17, 2015
strong wifi, clean bathrooms, calm, quiet, pretty grounds, decent breakfast (although could have used some yogurt or more fruit)
February 17, 2015
Noisy at night due to tragic and a club nearby.
Cool place, friendly helpful staff.
February 15, 2015
Completely different place to sleep than others. Good facilities. Near the ruins and big supermarket.
February 15, 2015
Its great for a night or two, but it would get quite small for a longer stay.
Our son loved it - the tubes are a crazy, wonderful idea. Nice tropical garden. Helpful, friendly staff. Definitely not posh, but a clean, comfortable eco-style accommodations.

Location, rooms, clean toilets, friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I (26, 25) stayed at Tubo Tulum for 12 nights. Tubo Tulum is placed in a very strategic location. You can walk to town in 5-10 minutes, a huge super market in 3 minutes and you can bike to the beach in 10-15 minutes. Just perfect! The staff is very friendly and answered our questions about transport, sightseeing, restaurants and more. The continental breakfast cosisted of freshly brewed coffee, scramled eggs, juice, fruit, toast, cereal and milk. Thumbs up. Comfy rooms and good wifi. Rooms are small, but have good aircondition and space for jackets and your luggage.
