- The staff was friendly - when we wanted two rooms instead of one, we got a discount - good breakfast buffet
- a tarantula came for a visit (the hangout area is outside)
Nice people, good environment
The tubes smelled with paint, it was hard to sleep
Great breakfast and kitchen facilities. Cool common area and clean and numerous bathroom facilities. Good location being between town, beach, and cenotes with a giant supermarket 5 mins walk away. Air con in the rooms is good
Rooms are a novelty but they are small. Having said that I'm 6ft 2 and had enough room to stretch out on the bed. If you have busy days and make the most of the common area then room size is fine
Friendly staff. Nice witch breakfast
original "room" in a Tube Owners really nice Prices ok equipement to rent
The place is well designed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cool concept.
The tube smells funky. Maybe it was the combination of humidity and concrete.
The hostel is located between the city and the beach which is a perfect place if you both want to swim and go out during the night. Bicycles are available for rent which makes it easier to get around. The tubes are cool, have enough place for sleeping, but there's not too much place for the bags.
Water pressure is really low in the shower and kitchen and sometimes there's not enough hot water.
Nice atmosphere Extraordinary concept Fine for a night...
The cozy tube rooms Common spaces The positive and friendly atmosphere The powerful WiFi and the many plugs spread around Helpful, flexible and nice personnel Good breakfast
No bar service
Rooms are in concrete tubes, big enough for a double bed and a shelf. It's small but cozy, clean and bright! I really like it.
The rooms are small and don't have much storage space to putyour things. Also lots of mosquitos
This cure little hostel has lots of character! Love the style of it. It was walking distance to the town and shops, and easy to bike down to the ruins and beaches.
Quite often there isn't anyone on reception.
We liked our tube and found it comfortable. The.breakfast was good and the whole hostal was beautifully decorated and clean. Wi fi worked great. Gabby was the MOST helpful member of staff we've met in Mexico showing us all the highlights of the area and giving great advice. We rented bikes and liked that we were between town and the beach and so near a great supermarket (we shopped and cooked synthesis hostal)
We didn't manage to get a warm shower.
The whole atmosphere of the hostel was super relaxed and quiet. There is a big supermarket located just 5 minutes walking from/to Tubo Tulum and the hostel has a gust-kitchen, which is fully equipped. We used it several times. The whole hostel is really nice decorated and the bathrooms are nice.
It is an amazing idea to sleep in tubes, but the tubes could be a little bigger, since it is not possible for two people to stand in the tubes. The a/c seems to have kind of a problem, because even though we selected the highest temperature, which was like 27 degrees celcius, it was still way too cold to sleep at night, since it is directly located above the bed, so we had to turn it off, but then it got too hot in the rooms. So it was kind of hard to sleep in the tubes for 3 nights. And be prepared for some insects in your room, since the room is located directly in the "jungle".
Quiet and clean place, friendly staff.
An experience of sleeping in tube Breakfast was nice Shared Bathroom was clean and i appreciate the idea of having shower and toilet toghether.
The tube it self it's not really spacious and comfortable for a longer stay. Bike rental could be for free or cheaper than 80 ps/day.
Is an original place, to stay, they rent bikes if you wanna go to the beach, and there is a supermarket in the other side of the street. you can prepare your food in the kitchen.
is a tube so don't wait for space, if you have a big suitcase is gonna be a bit difficult to open it and leave it inside, is so hot inside and with the air conditioner too cold, specially cause you have not even a sheet to cover during the night
interesting concept, friendly staff, great location
small room (the size of the concrete tube)
Breakfast, clean showers and toilets, kitchen - it is expensive to eat out in tulum, air conditioning, beds, staff, hostel kitten (so cute), close To a massive supermarket
Bikes were expensive to hire (80 pesos for the day) which I would have been happy to pay if they were in good condition but the tyres were flat and they felt like they were going to fall apart on you when riding to the cenotes and the beach
This was a unique set up which was a novelty for us. The bed was comfortable. The outdoor space was nice. Great if you like a camping vibe. Very chilled and relaxing space.
Was hard to get consistent temperature in room. Bathroom/toilets where a little unclean. Bikes where not always avalible so make sure you hire one first thing in the morning.
Very helpful and friendly hosts, nice facilities, very quiet and calm, supermarket very near.
Maybe small luggage space, but you take it as an adventure.
Loved the tube finishing--ample bed length for 6'5" (195 cm) guy, ample storage underneath, hooks (a rare treat!), bed-length shelf. Nice shared bathrooms: two with toilets, four spacious ones with toilets and showers (and hooks!). Nice surprise: the included breakfast, is cereals, breads, juice and coffee AND good huevos revueltos (scrambled eggs) with tomato and onion. Gracious hosts, nice little garden, well-designed sitting areas. Location is out of the hubbub of Tulum but close enough to walk.
Power to the a/c units went out at about midnight. Fortunately, one of the guests had the owner's number. He came promptly and got it reset after some tweaking. Others told us all power had been off for 1.5 hours the night before owing to a power failure in the grid. So two suggestions: emergency number needs to be posted after hours (that is, between midnight and 7 am); and electrical connections need to be improved. (Hotel had been open only 3 months when we stayed.)
The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the grounds.
No top sheet only a fitted bottom sheet and no towels. The a/c unit is too much for the small space, specially without a top sheet. Was fussing with it all night. Maybe a different type would work better. I stayed there because of the ac, but it just didn't work out in the small space.
Fun rooms, breakfast, helpful staff, convenient facilities.
Mattress a bit uncomfortable
I found the room comfortable and interesting. It's literally the size of the bed, but it was air-conditioned and I slept well. The hostel was clean and the staff very helpful for a first-time visitor.
The hotel is between the city and the beaches/ruins and a taxi is going to be needed by many to reach either. I did walk to the city, but was drenched in sweat by the time I got to a restaurant. On the plus side, it's across the road from the best supermarket in town.
The staff was really nice and the facilities are clean. Breakfast was great.
The beach was further away than we thought. But they had a cheap bike rental, so that was not really an issue.
