At first blush the location, manicured gardens, view from the rooms and grounds are compelling; after a few days(we were there 10) they become embossed in your soul. Best free snorkeling provided by nature, great sand, sounds and overall feel. Should you read a review that complains about paying for beach chairs, consider that given the inclination for abuse of an item if you or your children have nothing invested in it, the management has made a wise business decision. Could they discount them for guests, perhaps.
Both the web sight and a sign in the lobby suggest that you cannot pay in us Dollars. Both need to be updated. If you pay in us Dollars, which they now accept, your total expense is about 11% less than paying in Pesos.
Nice location: You have the beautiful white beach and something like a lagoon right in front of you, "playa norte" is easy to reach and the "rough coast" is right around the corner. We could do some slight snorkeling right in front of the hotel and the beach was very quiet. The receptionists were very kind and we could leave our luggage before check in.
The breakfast really sucked and Wi-Fi did not work well.
We were in a bungalow in a garden with hammocks right on the white sand snorkeling beach.
There are children on the beach during the day and many families stay their with children.
The room is comfortable, with a refrigerator and small tv. The bathroom is adequate. There is a small covered sitting area for each room.
No storage in the bathroom. One hook for 2 bath towels. Really dim lighting in both rooms. The breakfast included with the room is located a long block away consisting of coffee,Tang for orange juice, and a slice or two of packaged bread. No coffee maker and did not care for the 4 complimentary cockroaches.
Location right on the beach Courtyard with decent landscape I actually liked walking down the street for breakfast, next to the beach.
Towels No Internet in room Small bathroom, shower only Staff seems disinterested toward customers
Great location, near the beach. Big room and bed, very clean. Beach towels available for free at the reception. The room was equipped with safe deposit box (quite useful for beach) and refrigerator (useful for late night sangria :)).
150 usd deposit is reserved from your credit card at check in to cover possible loss of keys/remote controls for a/C. Wi-fi only works in reception. For the price, we would expect a better breakfast. The receptionist in the morning had a poor attitude.
Best place to swim or snorkel. Like a private beach. Beautiful gardens with hammocks and tables. Great breakfast location down the beach a bit. Too bad few people left a tip there. Service excellent. Free water in common room.
Construction next door, but weren't in our room too much. Quit at 6am.
The room was just ok, but not a far walk to the center of town. I really like the beach here. It's a shallow canal with cool fish around the reef. They sell beer at the front desk; that was convenient.
The wifi didn't work job our room. It only worked by the front desk. The door to our room was a sliding glass door with a lock that didn't seem very secure.
We oredered 3 nights and as paid for, but when we made the check out the house keeper didn't let us by saying we pAid only 2 nights. We saw her the papaers but she was concentrated to threat on us !! Ridiculous and disappointing
Couldn't sleep with AC on since it was making a loud noise. You have to walk 300 meters for the breakfast and it is only juice , coffee and 2 toasts with butter and jam.
Overpriced Breakfast is served in a bar far away from the hotel, where the staff is very unfriendly Room is anonymous Booked an excursion the started at 8am, the lady at the desk didn't want to give us the coupon for the breakfast till 7.30 (we didn't understand why) even if the bar was open (and far from the hotel) We stayed there just because the hotel in front was fully booked the first two days, where for 20€ more a day the stay was incredibly different
Location was awesome, clean rooms and cold AC'
Shower only got warm, never hot
The restful atmosphere, hammocks, beautiful courtyard plantings, location, reasonable rates.
The continental breakfast--not appealing at all. We ended up skipping it and going out for breakfast each day.
Convenient to the desirable beach front, reasonable rates, cleanliness.
Good location. Basic room but clean and cold ac.
Small beach which was always crowded.
no coffee in room, kitchens were dirty, breakfast was a block and a half away, no dish soap, no water in room, spout was broken on water jug in kitchen, for the amount of money spent on room the chairs on the beach should have been included, the value for your dollar was very poor
It is a very low key, relaxed place to stay. A great location and staff were helpful when needed.
Though they say they take Visa on the Booking.com site they put up considerable resistance when we tried to use it at checkout-eventually they did accept it.
nice location close to playa norte, best beach in isla mujeres, nice to walk on the sand to go to the breakfast given in a beach bar close by
room are quite old style
Location, quaint bungalows, dated but clean. Garden, sitting area in the shade, beach just beyond. Quiet customers.
Bed linens are coarse, no hot water in the sink and rooms have minimal lighting.
I have stayed many times, we just love the spot, and have got to know the staff, good place good people
this side of the island, is starting to get very busy. and some guests just don't have any respect.
very close to the good beaches of isla
very low value per money!!!
we loved the hammock garden and the beach so close by and the quiet location. safe and ease of snorkeling in front of hotel
We were kept awake all night by the people in the next room being loud and talking, drinking tv left on loud all night. we had to rent lawn chairs on the beach which should be provided to hotel guests. the coffee pot in the common area was not working, would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room.
The location was very good
No facilities that worth the money
Great location - situated just on the best beach on Isla Mujeres. Really cool garden with a lot of hammocks to chill out.
Only cold water in the shower. Very simply breakfast offer.
Everything was fantastic. We booked online and they were ready for us even though we showed up a few hours before check in. Very friendly people who will help you with any of your needs. Thank you Villa Kiin:)
My only suggestion would be maybe a dash of color in the room.
