Gorgeous beachfront location! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms right on the beach. Loved everything about it and will definitely stay there again.

Our suite was a bit pricey, but not so much that it would keep us from staying again.

There are a few things which made our holiday at villa las Estrella's our best one yet; - the staff here are amazing. I nearly cried when I left! So genuine, so lovely and always excellent excellent service, with a huge smile. Everyone is great. Special mention to Paco and Pepe, who couldn't do enough, we will come back soon! - the rooms are fantastic. Tulum is not the place if you require AC, TV and a pool but you probably already know that. The rooms here a big, extremely clean (cleaned every day by the maids), romantic, and best of all, all face the beach and you have a beautiful sea breeze to keep you cool at night. It's also very safe and you can walk to many of the great restaurant and bars along the beach. Comfortable sun chairs with table service throughout the day - the BEACH - white sand, clear water, fun waves, perfect for long walks at sunrise and sunset. - I had one of the best massages of my life here, under the shade on the beach... - the food is incredible, we had at least lunch or dinner here every day. The ceviche, prawn tacos, desserts - all great and very reasonably priced. Great drinks and desserts too We came back after 5 nights here totally relaxed and connected after waking up with the sun and going to bed around 10pm every night. Life is bliss here, and you can totally switch off.

Small boutique style accommodation with an upmarket beachy feel. Staff were all very helpful, stunning beach views from our room with only a short walk from bed to beach. The restaurant food was of high quality and also had one of the best and closest beach views.

This was a great place for my 17 yr old son & I to vacation. We both really enjoyed our stay at Villa las Estrellas. All of the staff was very friendly & helpful. The location is excellent. Having a restaurant on site made life extra easy but there were options close-by if one wanted to eat elsewhere.

Great location relative to the rest if the beach and restaurants. Nice cozy atmosphere. Great and friendly staff. Good breakfasts. We stayed in a suite (separate cabana) and it was very nice with electricity an a decent shower.

Wifi was decent but spotty depending on where you are. The beds are ok but need to change the pillows!! They need to get two down filled pillows for every bed. This would be a great investment!!

    - manager Marco very friendly - EXCELLENT food - location 5***** - view from room - personalized outdoor space - books available

    - relatively basic for price; no TV, no working AC unit, no convenient fan (example above the bed), no telephone or ability to call down to main desk. - music playing in main area audible at all hours - everything can be heard from one room to the next, no wall soundproofing

Location, beach best we have ever seen. Staff very friendly, helpful. Room was wonderful, beautiful. I would recommend staying in one of the three little single dwelling houses called suites. The other 4 rooms surround the restaurant and it could get noisy.

Complimentary breakfast was good but they keep the same menu lunch and dinner, no variance. The food is good but too limited. We ate lunch and dinner at other restaurants nearby on the beach because of that. You cannot drink or brush your teeth with the water so be certain to stop on the way in and purchase lots of bottled water.

The location is wonderful. The hotel is very charming. The personnel is very nice and makes you feel as at home (the personnel even remembers your first names, we were 4). The sunrise from the hammok on the terrace. The sea is very close. A fruit breakfast is included. The wifi works well, even from the private seats on the beach.

The smells from the kitchen in the room (we had room 1).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our suite (number 1) and were pleasantly surprised to have our own private porch and grass area which included two hammocks and a seating area! The room was very large and spacious.

    Nothing!

The beach area was spacious and beautiful. Grounds, restaurant, and rooms were lovely and immaculate, which is hard to accomplish when living on the sand! Staff was very friendly and responsive. Breakfast was good and plentiful; onsite dining for lunch/dinner was convenient (though I usually opted for other restaurants within walking distance).

One minor complaint about the pillows, which were hard and lumpy and need to be upgraded. The other concern stems from the gap between the top of the walls and the straw roof/palapa, which made the room very drafty on cold, windy nights.

You can't beat the location just meters from the ocean's edge. You could hear the hypnotic sound of waves crashing all night long. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was light (coffee, juice, fruit and croissant) but all you need in the heat. The lunch and dinner menu was good but rather pricey (though we found that most things in Tulum carry a pretty price tag)

We were with our 5 month old baby. It's just a little bit too rustic with a little one. We wanted more amenities (air con, reliable electricity and fresh water in the shower!).
