The night club was fun! We enjoyed dancing together and taking in the amazing view. So many hotels in Mexico have tile floors which feels cold and less plush to me, so the carpet was nice. The view and the balcony were fun. We had a room on the fifth floor. He had a nice flat screen tv and cable. We had a nice little dining area and 2 free bottle of water in the room. We couldn't hear the nightclub and had wonderful water pressure. The bathroom had a full size bathtub and shower doors. The water stayed inside the shower area which can be hard to find at a hotel. The room was clean and looked freshly painted. The walls and carpet wa a pretty solid blue. We felt safe and comfortable. We would stay there again. $60 total for a Sunday night was very reasonable.
The bed was hard. There was only a little pad between the bottom half of the mattress and the sheet, which wasn't fitted. It would have felt cleaner, softer and more comfortable if the bed had a full fitted quality mattress cover and fitted sheet. There were only two small pillows, I would have preferred four. The heater worked but the air conditioner seemed to only blow hot air. We cooled off the room by keeping the door open, which is ok as long as there aren't any disturbances going on outside. The pool was empty because they were painting it, which is probably why the price seemed discounted. A room safe and a hotel fridge would have been Awsome!
I liked the view over the marine and all over the city from the bar
All the night you can hear the street with its traffic and it wasnt enough clean.
Noisy on Marina view Hard bed, worn carpets, 0 room amenities[fridge, coffee, hair dryer etc]
I was charged $47.00 to change my arrival day by one day. I've never been charged for this in other hotels. Street noise is annoying.
location is great / secure parking always a plus
had heater on room to hot even with the heater off room didn't get cool,
Beds were very hard.
Excellent location at the beginning of the Zona Touristica
The only staff I met was the desk clerk and he was borderline rude. The condition of the hotel is shabby and dusty; some of the furniture is torn and falling apart. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was dreary. This hotel that was once so beautiful is now a "grande-dame" who hasn't aged well. I love Mexico and am going to move back again soon to live but I won't visit the Villa Marina again.
good value - rooms clean- beds pretty comfortable- very helpful/friendly staff spoke some English- convenient to downtown- walk everywhere- free parking on site- ocean view
very worn rooms and public areas need to be updated - poor water pressure in showers- poor quality soap - noisy disco on top floor- very noisy street on ocean side of the hotel made it difficult to sleep through the night
I liked the free Wi-Fi, gated parking with security guard, close to tourist areas, nice ocean view from balcony, right on main street
but the the decor was from the early 80's and looked like it hadnt been cleaned since, the carpet was disgusting and had a gray tinge to it, the bathrooms clogged up, the lights in my room didnt work, the pool was old and uninviting, the customer service was awful. This is nothing more than a budget Motel. Even Motel 6 would have been more elegant. Will never stay here again.
Location was great!
Much nicer than the Cortez Hotel. It really was a good place to stay for the money and the pool wasn't bad.
WIFI worked great, maid service very good
Older hotel in need of updating but no real problems
Nothing other than good location
The bed was so hard and the lobby want very presentable
Swimming pool next to the love
They don't tel you about all the potentials that you can find at the hotel
location was great
Everything else was ok
The cuttings in the balcony need to be clean the Shawer tub the water stay full Sam he'd to do with the drain es
The staff was friendly.
Elevators were old, small and very slow. The air conditioning was ancient.
Great location, half of the rooms have sea view Quiet Good wifi
Overpriced - hotel is old, rooms are OK but it's more like a road USA motel, while the price was $180 for 2 nights for our room.
convenient location to walk around reasonable price nice staff decent room
The outside of the hotel
The room to old
It was the worst stay of any vacation I have ever been on complete nightmare
My truck was broke into and had my gps and camera stolen also had to replace my broken window with a security guard on duty! Wow! Owner said its not his responsibility for damage rooms need severe remodeling carpet is thrashed also beds are super hard please run turn the other way. Moldy smell throughout hotel also not even close to any beach go to rocky point has beach front properties for cheaper (playa bonita)
