I got a updgrade to the Maya Villas (nextdoor) on arrival. The apartment is very modern, clean and beautifully decorated. It was a 2 bedroom apartment on the back of the complex (which made it very quiet as well). The location is the best, next to the quinta avenida and a very short walk to the beach. If going back to Playa del Carmen will definitely stay there again. When arriving we have not been told that check in should be made on Porto Playa and spent a while trying to find someone to help us out.

The hotel is super close to both beach and main pedestrian area, and the staff are super friendly and helpful!
