There are plenty of Playa del Carmen hotels but few offer you a home away from home option right on the Caribbean beach and steps from world class shopping.

Location is amazing. Clean.
Wifi only worked by the front door not by the bed. Lost power one night all night! No lights, no air con! Expensive for the quality of the hotel. Its old needing a renovation. Windows were all broken and did not lock. Could hear everything that was said next door with people taking a shower or using the bathroom.Bed was extremely hard!
I really liked the location, cleanliness, and the fact that it had air conditioning and fans in the room.
The wifi sucked and the rooms telephones do not work not even if you have them transfer a call to you.
i was in a suit, no internet connection in the bedroom, had to say in the minibar area to get a signal. poor connection that keeps disconnecting every 5 min. waste a whole lot of time, searching for some attrations and things to do. breakfast is either pancake, eggs or fruits. minibar is empty, no water heater or coffee machine, no plats or spoons.
Would stay again it was nice would recommend
Location Location. In the heart of Playa Del Carmen it provides easy access to all it has to offer and has the beach right next door. It is an older hotel but fairly well kept and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool area was nice.
The suite, kitchenette had a fridge, microwave and sink. There are no dishes, utensils or coffee maker if you want to have any food in your room. We had 2 glasses to drink from.
Separate kitchen with fridge & microwave. WiFi in room. Flat screen TV. In room safe Ocean view. Room was available for earlier check in. Breakfast is included @ restaurant next door. Lovely pool area. Pool/beach towels provided.
Missing a few amenities I am used to.No face cloths, hand towels or bath mats . No coffee cups or coffee maker. No deadbolt lock or security chain. Not a new property so furnishing do reflect age.
everything else. to say that this is the most over priced accommodation is an understatement.
Service in the hotel was kind but not effective. Our toilet and shower broke down every week ( toiled fludded on the floor or did not flush at all, and no water from the shower or only cold water). Additionally our hotel window was broken so that anyone from the outside was able to open it and step in. These were not fixed during our stay, though mentioned many times to the staff. I guess some efforts were made with no results.
Pool was clean. Room was large, had king six bed. Location was good, within 2 blocks of A.D.O. Bus terminal.
Some of the rooms are very awkward to get to (ie. bridge over pool). Bathroom plumbing & fixtures are appalling, black mold in bathroom.
IT was vey close to the beach which was primary for us. Also very close to the shopping street, very central location.
The pressure in the shower was terrible. One day the water didn´t come at all and we reported it. The receptionist said that they will repair it within 40 minutes. Well..they didn´t! 7pm in the evening (after we had told them again) we got water again. And only cold water all the time. Probabably a very old hotel, but theese things MUST work! Also they say free Wifi, yes, but only in the hall, not in the bedroom. No sign there.
We loved the location, half a block from the beach and right on the main strip. We were close to the Ferry and the Bus to airport. We had a suite facing the street and loved that. We found the suite to be be clean but a little dated. We would stay at the Bed & Breakfast again, and felt that we got good value for our money.
We found that the communication with the front desk but a little hard. We did not have hot water on a few occasions. We found the breakfast to be limited and would have loved a second cup of coffee included.
when you check in you get the room 1203 where: *Wi-Fi Works only in the kitchen *the shower is dripping only because of lime stone and the personnel does not understand the problem ( the guest goes to the chemist shop buys what's needed and cleans the shower himself ) *the toilet DOES NOT Work - won't flush , so you take the bucket and bring water from the kitchen to flush "smelling stuff" away *the hairdryer mentioned in booking.com room description - well, forget it - it did exist in the past; now only the cabel is left *the safe box - did not work *in the kitchen you get the fridge, microwave oven and two glasses, but you must forget all about forks, knives or spoons, plates etc. - we bought them ourselves in the supermarket nearby *air condition - so noisy that it was necessary to switch it off for the night, and apart from that its termostate could be set only to +10C . After 2 days you get enough and ask for another room 1217 -where Wi-Fi Works, though you get the same problem with the shower and clean it yourself. Safe-box - unusable. No plates or cutlery. One day you wake up and must forget about morning toilet and bath - no water! They repair it within 1½ h. Then they continue repairing something on the roof above in the time window 00:30 - 03:00 - so your beauty sleep you must get during the day instead. Obviously hotel guests do not need to sleep at night. Happy Holidays.!
We usually go all inc. where the staff are helpful with everything, so it is not easy to judge. The staff were helpful but only if asked.Air conditioning and fans good. Very soft water.
Very noisy at night. Rooms were unfriendly, no bedside lights only low watt wiggly bulbs in pots in high ceiling.Water pressure very low. Pool area small. Lack of out side furniture. Photos misleading.
hotel very good located the price for causality may be the best of the zone.
We loved the location of being right in the action and very close to the beach. We liked that we were close to Bus Station and direct to airport.
We had no hot water a couple times which was a little disappointing. A day at the beach we found that no hot water to shower to go out for the night life. The breakfast had very little selection and could only have 1 cup of coffee with the meal. you had to pay for more coffee.
Big room with fridge and microwave. Great for price.
Room a bit worn.
The location was great! Close to the bus station, the beach and 5th Ave.
We had a room on the bottom floor with no view and bars on the windows. The room smelled musty
Rooms and friendliness/flexibility of hotel staff
The room was spacious, a full breakfast was included & it was close to the beach.
The hotel was quite "tired" and shabby. The shower head was clogged with calcium deposits so only a trickle of water came out. Our room overlooked the street, no privacy and very noisy. Would probably try a different hotel next time.
old rooms. not clean. dont have hot water in the shower. dont have elivator. starrs are brokan. Not worth the price.
Good location. Room was large. Nice pool. Room was clean. Reasonable price.
Room furniture was old and drab. Bathroom small and out dated. No water pressure. No hot water in sinks. Was given room in bad location with no view although many of the rooms with better location and view were empty. When asking desk clerk about getting better room we were ignored. We have encountered this problem before when we book with bookin.com. I believe the hotels save their worst rooms for booking.com and other discount sellers and that is why the prices are lower,
I like the location of this hotel. It is at the corner of 5th Avenue, the main street in Playa del Carmen where all the stores are located. It is also a short distance from the beach. The staff was also great. They helped us with ordering food and gave us directions to places around town. They even spoke English which was a plus as they could understand us and we could understand them easily. A taxi stand is right outside the hotel. It is a little pricey but convenient if you need to go anywhere by car (which is unlikely as most things are right around you). Overall, it was worth what we paid, considering the cost of other hotels in the same neighborhood.
The top shelf in the room was clearly not clean for some time. Overall, the room was clean but it seemed like it needed a quick freshen up before we checked in.
Ideal location near the beach , bus stop, Fusion bar and shops. The size of the rooms is excellent. It is quiet, very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The price we paid in pesos was not the price we booked at in US Dollars. They charged us a conversion rate of 13 pesos to the Dollar which they said was your rate when the rate was 11 pesos to the dollar. This is 18% premium. They didn't offer us the chance to pay the correct rate in $US by credit card. The reception told us it was the policy of booking .com to charge this high rate and that they had no control over it.
