Score from 40 reviews Very good
The atmospere was good, friendly staff who really cared for guests. A swimming pool is available. A good location, close to facilities and bus stops. Reasonably prices taxis in abundance. Two hours drive from Chichen Itza.
Music during the night hours.
decoration of the hotel is very ornate
We came to this hotel in our honeymoon and we saw this hotel in booking, "a 4 star hotel including breakfast " but the truth is that this was a very old and cheep hotel!!! Nothing was clean and the room look like old cell on jail, inside the room there is only one electric plug, the furniters are 40 years old at least and the bed was not clean!! The biggest problem was the air condition : a very loud and old one that will take your sleep we didn't sleep even one minute!!!! Because the AC, the breakfast was not for humans!! Don't go there.
Decorations in the walls and statues.
Poor amenities. No hair dryer, shower cap, fridge, tea, electric kettle, safety locker. Furnitures were poor. False ceiling was broken & I could see the poor, old building with open rods through that.
Continental breakfast include only coffee or Kaki juice,NOT TEA!!!,an iced plate of fruit pre-cutted and four slice of bread or pancakes with butter and strawberry marmelate if you're lucky. Cleaning service takes away the dirty towels and not leave clean ones, ask for the a/c and tv controllers during check-in,they will not hand over you..!! In room N.101 there's not wi-fi signal..give to taxis at max 70 pesos to puerto juàrez and 200 to the airport! Awful!!
The Hotel Mexican ambiance was beautiful.
food & service
ants in my room/Two tv stations in english/internet was out at least 10 times for hours in three days..
The decoration in the hotel gives to the place a special touch; The location is near to the center of the neighborhood, very few tourists what allows to check the style of life of local people; Possibility to schedule all touristic packages with the agency attached to the hotel; Rustic decoration.
The smell of the room when I arrived (like drains stink) , later it became better; Far from the Cancun's touristic place, so to go to the night life in Cancun is necessary to take a taxi; There is no beaches close to the hotel, like has in the expensive touristic hotels alongside the shore. For me was ok, since I spent most of the time in the trips, coming back to the hotel just to sleep.
Close to downtown
Not very clean Noisy air conditioning
The hotel staff was extremely accommodating....definitely much better service than we have ever received staying at a resort hotel. The rooms were always clean. The continental breakfast was the perfect way to start the day.
It would have been nice to have a bath tub as well as the shower.
The staff was horrible!!...1st day they gave us the wrong room & were not apologetic. The manager said its the only room available and it doesnt matter that we made a reservation. We stayed in that room for the entire 10 days & 9 nights. They did not offer the remote controls for the air conditioner or tv until we asked...theu did not offer the breakfast vouchers until we asked (it was part of our package). The beddings were not changed daily, no blanket provided & they kept "forgetting" essential things like clean towels, soap & the bathroom floor towel. The shower leaked and the bathroom floor would get really wet & slippery. The hotel was also accommodating a group of policemen for training during out stay, when they left, they turned off the water heater. When I asked the manager on duty that night why the water was not getting hot he replied "there are no guests left in the hotel"....like really??...I Was standing right there!! The only staff member who made our stay tolerable was Giovanni, he was courteous & very helpful.
Nice and relaxing, large rooms and comfy beds.
Unfortunately the shower only had hot water about 60% of the time.
Nice and friendly staff
Not always hot water, poor room equipment, internet very weak (if any), breakfast and restaurant not more than lower average
The building and the pool are nice, staff very gentile.
The room service always come into my room to clean it when I was still sleeping. There is no sign to put in the door to show there is someone sleeping or you don't wanna be bothered.
Some staff were polite and helpful, the price was quite cheap but you will see why if you stay here.
On arrival grumpy reception not helpful. Room quite dirty, towel had a big hole in the middle, air conditioning machine half of it was on the floor(very noisy when working) The shower most of the water went upwards over the partitioning wall into the toilet area.Windows were cracked and broken. Electrics not safe. I have used Booking.com many times, all hotels have been good so I am surprised they have this place on there site. This is without question the worst hotel I have ever stayed in,glad to leave.
The local area.
Beautiful hotel! Incredible wall paintings, lovely staff. Very nice neighbourhood location, need car for beach
The hotel location is good. Most of the staff, bar the front desk staff are pretty friendly and helpful.
The hotel is scruffy. The washrooms by the pool smell of excrement. The area around the pool needs to be cleaned there is dead leaves and fruits from the trees all over the ground and these attract ants so you cannot leave anything on the ground. The wifi did not work in my room, the front desk staff never got around to fixing it, after telling they would. The room I got was very shabby. It's was also over a cafe/bar that played music into the early hours. You can hear everything that goes on outside in the corridors. I would not stay here again and if possible I would recommend that you find a room elsewhere.
Pool, the hotel its self, friendly staff. Salsa lessons and the massages. Court yards.
The noise was bad from my rooom. Staying in 104 was really noisy music playing at 3am!! . When talking to the staff they seemed unable to stop the noise. Other guests say to say on a different floor to minimize the noise.
Friendly staff and beautiful facilities.
The continental breakfast was lacking. Pancakes, fruit and coffee. Food was produced in very small quantity with lines forming at the buffet though very few customers in the restaurant. No baked goods or eggs. Skip this option and find your own breakfast!
Bad place....cool water on shower
The pool is beautiful, that is the only positive point
The staff is not very kind. We had 2 rooms, and the staff knocked on the door at 09.00 very loudly to have the dirty towels (..!). The water was cold, we called the reception, they came after 5 minutes but never fixed the problem. Its also written you have a flat screen and hair dryer, but thats not true at all, the TV is very old, poor. Definitely a nightmare experience here. Oh, and about the vreakfast, it s just some fruits and pancakes. This hotel can't be a 4-star hotel, it s just impossible.
Pool was good. Location not too far from bus station - 7mins walk.
Tv pretty old. Good enough for 1 night.
It felt like being inside of a mini mayan museum! I didn't care for the food but i enjoyed everything else.
