Tanit is the yoga instructor at the resort and she is absolutely amazing. Her yoga and meditation classes are one of the best I've experienced, including in the US. The staff; including reception, restaurant, cleaning, and groundskeepers, were pleasant, helpful and efficient. At ZenSerenity, you are relaxed, sourrounded by nature's beauty, and served by top notch staff. It was truly an amazing vacation. Catch a sunrise- breathtaking.
My stay was everything I was looking for and more. Only drawback for some (not me) would be there is no direct beach access. There is a small beach area on premises (no access to ocean) and a great pool. If you want the ocean, there is a great beach about 5 minutes away. Or you can be adventurous like me and explore a bit. You'll find a small private beach very close to resort!!
No kids. Classy, relaxed with activities available but not forced on us. V. Good food. Only 95 rooms which makes this place special.
If it had a beach .... Then it would be Wow. Home cooked bread is the only thing missing.
The second you walk through the door you feel instantly relaxed. Staff were incredible, they couldn't do more for you Beautiful location Breakfast is to die for Particular note to Tanit for her yoga training and activities, she made my trip exceptional
If I had to pick anything, I would have preferred a better range of good for dinner. I was a little disappointed in the lack of Mexican food
Good location, beautiful pool, great classes and activities, attentive and helpful staff.
No hot water, no beach, jacuzzy didnt function, reasonable food, a bit dirty and VERY old rooms and decor. We went on our honeymoon, and both of us got food poisoning that gave us a real nightmare for two whole days after we left. There are many better places around.
This is a wonderful resort for relaxation. The service was exceptional. Every person in the hotel made sure our stay was perfect in every way. The food was great, the room was comfortable, the scenery amazing! We enjoyed yoga, water aerobics, drinks in a cabana, delicious dinners and more. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.
There was nothing not to like.
most of the staff were very friendly - the food was quite good - the wine list limited and the house white undrinkable. The buildings and set up generally was really beautiful.
when your feet are wet very slippery floors in the bathrooms and around the pool
Food was horrible
Staff are soo friendly and useful, specially the manager.Swimming pool and the beautiful ocean view. A perfect location for a wedding.
Some of the rooms are still having minor issues and they are currently working on it. However the staff are soo friendly and quick and if your room has any issue please let them know to change your room.
I loved the fact that there were several issues with the original room we were placed in mind after speaking only once to the manager, we were more than accommodated for our inconvenience. That's true service.
The only major issue was the hotel and property was more represented to be ocean front as in a beach you can walk type of ocean front.
Big rooms with comfortable beds.
Although the staff was polite and had a good disposition most weren't well trained, and definitely didn't know how to deal with complaints. The reception staff was very passive aggressive when dealing with our complaints. Food wasn't great, they talk about a detox menu on the webpage yet not available. Food was greasy and unseasoned. Also has no access to the beach, so you can only swim in the pool or leave the hotel. It did use to be a gay resort, so most of their former clientele is still there. Because of this the hotel seems to send mixed messages when it comes to ambiance... for example techno music by the pool when its supposed to be a wellness resort? Finally the SPA treatments were overpriced.
Big rooms, wonderful food, excellent yoga instructor, gorgeous pool
They charge US$15 per day PER DEVICE for internet. So if there are two of you with phones / iPads / laptops / kindles, it's insane. Also it's a shame that you can't swim from the resort (though there's a lovely beach a quarter mile away)
The design of the hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom.
For a hotel marketing itself as a 'wellness resort' with a great 'culinary experience', it was an absolute disappointment. The food overall was pretty bad which was a significant factor being an all-inclusive hotel. We ate outside of the hotel at every opportunity, which added to the cost of the trip. The gym wasn't very well-equipped at all and was falling apart with rusted dumbbells and broken machinery. You have to pay around $10-$15 extra each day if you want internet in the room. Although it has a beachfront location, it is one of the only hotels on this strip that does not lead directly on to sand. Instead there are rocks so you cannot actually enter the sea from the hotel. To enjoy the beautiful beach of Tulum you have to leave the hotel.
Everything is perfect! Great location, charming, romantic and elegant. Great place to relax and forget everything else. It is paradise in Tulum: views are breath taking! :) The staff is so nice and they will do everything to make sure you're having a great time. If you like to walk, run or bike you can use the bike lane to visit other beaches near the hotel.
Great entrance and lobby, great reception upon arrival, great yoga room,
No access to the beach , zero flexibility for late check out, poor snack menu, bad margarita , ocean view not that great
Great location and lovely relaxing stay. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere.
Staff need a bit more training in the restaurants, but minor quibble.
The rooms, the grounds, the spa, the location.
Horrible bars -- no real bartenders & couldn't get a decent drink all week. mediocre food -- ended up eating in town. kind of defeats the concept of an all-inclusive resort when you can't eat or drink there.
The zen serenity was fantastic. A lot of the boutique hotels in tulum are in a better location on the Main Street but they don't have air conditioning or indoor plumbing which ny boyfriend and i wanted for our stay. The zen serenity has beautiful rooms, the staff is great. It did use to be a gay resort so there still is that clientele but it was so much fun and we had a blast
The location..... I wish it were a little closer to the other hotels but it was t that big of a deal..... We rented bikes the before time and it was about a 15 min bike ride into town each day.'
