Baba's Guest House

The guesthouse was right near the beach and although basic, this is the experience we wanted. The guesthouse is run by a lovely family that cannot do enough to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Extremely clean and guests are encouraged to respect eachothers stay so was really quiet and relaxing. Fantastic experience.

Unfortunately there is a mosque of some type nearby and although some of the chanting and calling for prayers was cultural and in itself a nice experience there were times when it seemed the chanting must be a recording as it went on for hours. A neighbouring issue however rather than the guesthouse itself.

The location is just perfect. There's no need for us to take a long walk to get to the beach. It's near the cheap hawkers with good food. Friendly owners/staff. Wifi was very useful.

Aircondition was too small to keep the room cool but it was fine since we spent most of our time outside.

Imam sings from 5 o'clock in the morning. Very poor farnitured,only beds.

it was certainly very pleasant, the rooms were clean, with basic amenities eg. air-conditioning, clean beds and toilets.

Very basic facilities. Much better accommodation can be found in Georgetown for the same price.

Helpful staff took us to the ferry. It is one of the last vestiges of backpacker hostels in the centre of multi story international hotels but very basic. The beach is lovely but the sea is filthy and I didnt want to swim in it. Good night market and many restaurants of different types.

Very basic room with old airconditioning and paper thin walls. Cleaning only if you ask for it. Quite expensive for what you got though in fairness still cheap for penang.

A feeling of home away from home. We were received with warm welcome and enjoyed family atmosphere. The guest house maintains very peaceful, neat and clean, pleasant atmosphere with wi-fi facility. The staff is very helpful.

Slow internet

The location is incredibly dirty... and noisy ! The first difficulty was to find the so-called 'guest house'. Nobody in the surroundings knew about the place,...so we had a bad feeling. After one hour,we finally found the chaotic path leading to it, Refuse, dirt, all the way was littered with rubbish. A few meters before the entrance of Baba's GH, there were a big skip along the road full of garbage... No comment ! When we arrived for the check in, we have been asked to pay the room in full. I was a bit surprised, explaining that generally the normal practice is to pay when checking out. But the guy got upset and told me if I was not happy I could call the police.... well, we paid cash, took the key and came back only after midnight. Why so late ? Just because behind the guest house there is a village hall where coincidently there were a wedding celebration. I let you imagine the noise with loud music, karaoke, etc...Despite a very poor bathroom (the roof is made with corrugated iron) the room itself was extremely basic but clean. As for the picture you can see on internet about a sea view ?.... I guess there is only a unique room with a balcony from where you can (maybe) see the beach ! This place is definitely not to be recommended !

Very good food. Nice Room. Friendly people and a amazing beach near the hotel.

It is simple, but clean - come see for yourself. We have loved it. It is really very close to the beach. The owners are very accommodating. We have thorougly enjoyed it and we will stay there in the future. Brilliant!

Parking is limited, but the owner always made a plan for us. The "parking officer" outside is a very rude man and always begging for money, but it is not Baba's fault I suppose.

Very Clean room and good service :)

It was a basic room with a bed ceiling fan and table + 1 plug socket. It was close to the beach and cafe nearby and a short walk to the main road. The owners lived on the premises downstairs and were always very helpful and chatty. My overall impression is that the place could do with a coat of paint in the bathroom and better carpets. That said it was basic and reasonable value for the money.

Шикарное расположение. Практически у моря. С балкона открывается вид на море. Владельцы буддисты и очень приветливы. Очень бюджетно - всего пятьдесят ринггит за 2-х местный номер с вентилятором. Можно пользоваться циновками для пляжа.

Близость мечети. Первая молитва начинается в 5:45. Немного похоже на частный сектор или дачу в Анапе.

Cet hôtel à un tarif attractif et une bonne situation à quelques mètres de la plage. Le personnel est agréable et bien disposé pour vous renseigner sur les lieux à visiter et les restaurants à petits prix. Nous étions dans une chambre en bas, sommaire mais confort et propreté ok pour le prix.

Le point négatif, ce n'est pas l'hôtel, c'est Batu Ferringhi, c'est bien "le rocher aux étrangers", un village d'hôtel en béton pour touristes. Il suffit de s'écarter un peu du rocher pour trouver des coins plus authentiques (villages de pêcheurs, réserve naturelle).

Eigenlijk alles het is hier schoon de bedden zijn super de gedeelde douche is altijd netjes en de ligging is uitmuntend dus BABA is zeker aan te raden

古めの建物だが、掃除はわりと行き届いていた。 海が近く、のんびり安く滞在するのには丁度良い。 次の移動の際にはオーナーからバス情報等を親切に教えてもらえた。

宿泊は12月上旬だったが、早朝（四時頃）町中にお祈りの様な歌（おそらく宗教上のもの）が放送されていた- 。そのスピーカーが宿の真横に設置してある為、必ずその時間に目覚めさせられた。

De mensen waren alleraardigst en de ligging was perfect. Direct bij het strand en vlak bij winkels en restaurants.Bedden waren goed en gratis wifi op de kamer.Airco ziet er niet uit maar doet het prima.

Als je aan komt rijden over een onverharde weg en je ziet waar je terecht komt schrik je wel even maar als je niet te veel geld wilt uitgeven voldoed het goed voor een paar nachten.
