Very nice hotel, very clean, very nice staff, very cooperative. only one part i.e. at lounge bar rates are differ for the evening time and night time with menu charges while we feel the rates would be same as per the menu. but when we saw when we checking you they charges the bar bill very high.

Value for money. We got more than we bargained for. Was there for a friend's wedding reception and the room we got was huge and spacious. The view was quite awesome as we could peer right into the Cheong Fatt Tze mansion. Staff were happy to help and courteous and they catered for the foodie in me. They had maps of the best eats in town and knew how to direct us there. It isn't really a red herring, but the decor and furnishing is a little beyond the decade but it didn't bother me at all consider what I paid

City Hotel Where no Wifi services for free? Even at kl Mamak store also provide free wifi for customers but 4 stars hotel need to charge customers. What a shame!

Its located near all the bars, clubs, restaurant beach and shops. I stayed for 4 nights and the room I had was nice as it had sea view. It's very spacious and clean. I would stay at this hotel again in the future. The jacuzzi was very dirty & smelly. Swimming pool area never get the sun and so it's always in the shade making the water not very warm.

Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Anyone wants to hire taxi through the hotel staffs (Mr. Murthy and others) for city tour, please check yourself with other taxis to compare their quoted price. They usually charage higher than actual rate.

We enjoyed the proximity to everything in Georgetown. The professional staff, check in was fast and extremely polite. Room although a little small very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate although a little more Western fare mwould have been nice. We plan to re-book the Bayview for another visit in the future. Excellent pricing for the standard set. No complaints at all

Generally hotel is quite good except the housekeeping. During my last 3 stays there in 2 months, there were no laundry bags and the Reception Desk was under staffed

Well located within easy walking distance of the World Heritage Site of old Penang. Surrounded by restaurants, Hawker Cenres and street food stalls. World famous e&o Hotel with fine dinning is opposite. The hotel is well appointed and has friendly and efficient staff. Near major bus routes to the plush shopping malls The bedroom walls are thin enough to allow conversations and tv in other rooms to be heard.

I requested for extra bed upon check in and even during booking thru email, I have stated down. I also reminded them thru hotel phone and before my outing at the counter. Unfortunately even until the end of my 2 night stay, my request was still not met. The worst thing is Bayview doesn't seem to be sensitive enougn and was trying to charge me on the "invisible extra bed" Only when I raise the question again only they refund me the extra charges.

Convenient location, overall a good hotel, rooms are of a good standard. Over Christmas period, prices are very high. Would recommend it for a city break in Georgetown. Very high price over Christmas period.

The location to Georgetown and the breakfast were great. The standard and cleanliness of the room needs to be improved. The airconditioning in the room was not always effective and the room at times was very stuffy. Also, the non-smoking rooms smelt of smoke.

The bed is smelly and the lobby area is dark. The staff didnt change the bedsheet or clean the room very well, cos the pillow and bed sheet are stinky. I will not recommend the hotel to others.

This is the 3rd time staying in this Hotel. The location is excellent, Foods, Hawker stalls, Food court and pub within walking distance. The staff are friendly, Room is clean and enormous.

Good value of money, can not complain at this price. The location is great, minutes walk from of of the main streets, so many food stands at nights and bars are closed, too!

The hotel feels like a 3.5 star hotel, we order the food but has to return them for a new one. The food taste awful. Other than location this hotel pretty much has nothing to talk about.
