The Bayview Beach Resort  

It is big and there is a big swimming pool and you can go to the beach.

Public transportation is convenient ; there is a taxi kiosk across the road, public bus and tricycle is also available. No problem finding food as there are many restaurants situated nearby. Laundry and provision shops are also situated nearby the hotel. We hired a taxi during our stay there. The driver brought us to many tourist spots and also makan places like Penang famous cendol and nasi padang and since it is durian season he also drove us up the hill of Balik Pulau to taste fresh durians. It was tasteful and prices were reasonable. Charges for the hired taxi is affordable too. We will certainly make a come back !

Brilliant , awesome , beautiful ! This is the best hotel I stayed in my whole life. The room is huge, with a nice balcony, and the decor is awesome. Will definitely come back ! They even gave me early check in and the breakfast was very delicious and got lots of choices . Very nice pool ! The whole hotel is very nice

The pool and pool service was great. Beach activities was handy.

Renovations in the room next door did disrupt us when told there was none. Wi fi should be included in price but at least that was available. Never had to pay for late check out before.

This resort was excellent. We loved the room, the pool, the breakfast and the other facilities at the resort.

Nothing in particular. If we came again, I would probably book a room on one of the lower floors as the elevators were always very busy and tended to stop on every floor. We were on the 8th floor.

I've stayed here before many years ago. The best thing about it is the Swimming Pool/Beach area, and the bar in the pool. It's spacious and a great place to relax. Great that it's on the beach, and the views from the room were fantastic. Also, the room was a good size, and I really like the open air lobby area with the lifts. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it's good that it was easy to walk to the other restaurants and the night market.

Unfortunately, as many others have said, the hotel is dated. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. However, that's not a big problem - I knew that when I booked and they are renovating. I was disappointed though with the fact that the room did not appear to be cleaned properly. There were stains on the carpet, and bits on the floor that were there when we arrived, and 5 days later were still there. I don't think they vacuumed! Which is amazing because they were busy polishing the lobby floor area every night. The Hard Rock Cafe was great next door but very expensive. The real thing which left a bad taste in our mouth was that we had some clothes made by the tailor in the lobby and ended up feeling 'had'. I thought being in the hotel would make them more trustworthy (and they apparently have shops in other hotels), but now I'm kicking myself. They were quite pushy, and we believed their promise to have things ready in 24 hours - ready, yes, quality - no (as if rushed in only 24 hours - duh!). The stitching was shoddy and we were not happy with the results. They did try to improve it, but not really good enough, and not without trying to persuade us it was fine first! Unfortunately the prices we paid were also not cheap enough for that to be okay. We shouldn't have let ourselves get talked into it, and I wish we'd refused to pay! Overall I would recommend this hotel for all the reasons I mentioned above and for value for money, but don't use the tailor.

The pool and gardens were lovely, pool quite large and it has a pool bar. The location is at the far end of Batu so a walk and not an easy one to the nightmarket etc but it is next door to the Hard Rock Hotel if you like a live band for evening entertainment.

I had a large rat on my balcony in my room on the second floor. The hotel moved me and upgraded my roon to one on a higher floor immediately and seemed shocked as they do have pest control however several nights I saw rats on the ledge on the second floor so avoid that floor at all costs unless you like rats !

Location in front of the beach, room spacious and I think the only hotel that suit for family of six in Batu Feringhi with affordable price. Easy to get food. Every time I go to Penang, this is the only hotel that I stay.

The rooms were spacious, we managed to get rooms next to each other. The pool was lovely. The staff were lovely. The price was very good. It was in a convenient location.

The rooms were dated. The hairdryer didn't work and wires were exposed. No wifi that we could see. We got asked to leave the tennis courts even though it didn't appear anyone else was using it.
