Colmar Tropicale - Berjaya Hills  

Wow!! When I read all d reviews from others i'm kind of affected.. So the plan of staying there for 3days 2nights were shorten to 2days 1nights.. The review were quite disturbing for us whom never tried this place.. But I was really dissappointed as this place was great!! Kind of regret shortening the stay there.. The view was really great.. The room weren't that big but was just nice for both of us.. Very romantic n cosy.. Love it.. They didnt take too long when I requested for an iron to be delivered to my room.. Too bad its only a night.. Cos the scenery is really Beautiful.. Dun listen to others.. Come here and judge yourself.. We're there on the 9th October 2011.. Saw that some renovation was being done.. Hope they're upgrading sme rooms.. We will be coming back here for sure!! Cant get enough of this place.. Nice for people who wanna relax, escape from the pollution of the city, romantic for couples.. Overall I enjoy my stay there... We'll be back... Thanks Colmar Tropicale.. Its my best ever trip with my love one...

Few yrs ago I was at colmar and it was satisfactory (not optimal though), and I would have thought after few yrs, the place can only get better! I was wrong! So wrong....i arrived on Thursday (9.6.11) at approximately 5.00 pm and was told I cant yet check in as the room has not been housekept (although it was stated in the booking confirmation that check in time is 3pm). I waited almost 45 minutes before being allowed to check in. I casually ask for at least a complimentary drink as a result of extreme poor mangement and was shrug off as though I was making some insane demand. Our dismay continued when we checked into the room. The stench was erroneous and the toilet was in really bad shape. Nonetheless, that was all my wife"s and my comfort. The kids were looking forward to the swimming pool and after some simple survey, I advise the kids not jump into the pool as the water condition was unbecoming. I suspect the chroline level was not safe for long period of swim and we thought we were initially at a river side judging from the attire of all those who patronise the pool. We end up spending a fortune at the arcade as the kids were told not to go into the pool (we, as parents have to compensate, not Berjaya or Colmar if you prefer!!) then it was time for dinner and we were scouting high and low a restaurant where there are empty seats, and we thought wow business must be really good until eventually finding out that there weren't enought people working at these busy restaurants and poor guys who filled up the rstaurants must have been waiting for their food and drinks forever. We end up having buffet (not our initial choice) as the thought of waiting and our hunger pranks may not be at all permissible. We checked out the very next day instead of two nights which we have booked initially!!! And I have made a very concious decision of not returning.

The ambiance but definately not the room.

The room is dirty. We foung a old dirty hair band under the side table. The shower curtain stink. Not up to my expectation. The smeel of the room is teribble and the all of the drawers including at the kitchen.....yatchhhh..! disgusting... OUtside of the room is dirty too. LUcky we just book for one night. Dont like the hotel at all.

The location is too far. I took about 5 hrs + to reach the place from penang. Moreover, the roadsign is not clear to direct us to Bukit Tinggi. I make reservation for a baby cot when booking but upon arrival they told me that the baby cot was finished! Until 9pm only I received a small matress and cover, which they called as 'baby cot'. I don't think I will visit there again in future, unless there is a special reason.

Beautiful and romance

Nice architecture. Beautiful swans and scenery.

The interior is not well maintained, especially the bathroom. Lots of grouting makes the bathroom look dirty,

Relax even the services not good.

Other than the scenery, there is nothing I like about the hotel.

We are only allowed to check in after 4pm. The room is dusty. There are broken cups and glass under the bed. Most of the staff doesn't understand English. The kettle is not functioning. The bed frame is broken and the mattress has funny noise. Never go back again.

food, in-accessible location, poor infrastructure

The french themed hotel is worth looking at..room decoration is good.. Facilities is good..

Receptionist is not as friendly as I thought, the bell boy looks more polite.. Room is hot even with the fan and aircon at full speed. There is no wifi.. Facilities in the room start to age, tv, aircon.. The place is indeed boring..

Service very bad and slow. Need 2 hours to get the Hotel room. Room condition not very good. Very old and not well maintence. Suitable for Family or Group of friend but not young couple. Especially for Romance and honeymoon.

Nice view and weather

Bathroom. Bath. Need some carpets in room.

Large n nice comfortable room ..
