Nothing not to like!
What an idyllic setting. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay and were sorry it was so short. (Don't miss out on the amazing journey up the cable car on a clear day - even though we are skiers and a bit blasé about cable cars, we were impressed.)
The location of my room
The food was not so good and it was a bit expensive
The surrounding at the morning
The surrounding at the night
Very big hotel , clean , very good view and helpful people
Far away from cenang street the most important street in langkawi ... About 30 mins with taxi
After I finished my stay,I missed it......
This place is amazing was 10years ago when I was on honeymoon.
Great location. Awesome in house facilities like spa, private beach, candle light dinner etc. Nice drive from the city. Lot of activities that can be planned with event desk. Quite close to cable car. Loved all the activities that I scheduled with Berjaya. Will recommend to all honeymoon couples.
Far off chalets needing shared rides every time you want to come to reception.
The staff were all helpful and friendly without being obsequious. The chalets were comfortable and clean and the transport was excellent. The arrangement and organisation of the New Year's party was a triumpth. Thanks for a most enjoyable stay.
Although there wasa variety of restaurantsI thought that some of the service was not quite up to standard
Locaion is amazing, view is perfect
Location stunning, might be a bit quiet for some.
Food did not always live up to expectations.... okay but.
Setting in the rainforest
Internal Transport noisy, e-Cars only for the Management, waiting for breakfast, waiting for internal Transport, spoiled new years eve gala, nothing individual, too much rules and policies, poor maintenance. Looks like Short before closing, make Profit only. 4 Stars -Never ever
The view The room and service With the beach just there there was no need of leaving the resort.
check in took too long
Like the location. Everywhere was perfect.
Just the bed sheet. It was not change on my 3rd day when req for d 1st time. Saw the same dirt as the previous sheet.
Beautiful location. Lovely rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
The cost of food and services on the resort was much higher than we experienced elsewhere in Malaysia. This is a particular issue as Berjaya is very isolated - there were no other restaurants within walking distance open for evening meals. We got the impression that Berjaya was taking advantage of the wealth of the majority of its guests (and that most of them do not know how much things cost elsewhere in Malaysia). We recommend that future guests do the following to save money... - go to the food court in the nearby 'Oriental Village' for lunch / late breakfast - hire a moped for some of their stay to access services elsewhere on the island - request lots of complimentary drinking water from room service The wifi network in the resort was awful - the worst we experienced across the whole of Malaysia (including accommodation 10x cheaper than Berjaya)
Resort immersed in the wonderful nature of Langkawi. Excellent service, nice and professional staff. Good restaurants. Exceptional massage in Spa.
Too expensive. Old and in need of a renovation. Shuttle service not always efficient.
Beautiful sea view, good food, good live band, excellent pool with half price cocktails
Took about an hour to check out on the final day
- The rooms were great with lovely views - The staff was nice and helpful - The breakfast at the beach restaurant was good - Beautiful views all around, with a ok beach and nice pool
- There are buggies which take you around the resort - at particular times, it takes a long time to get one. We could walk around - not sure everyone would be able to do that - The new year gala event was mandatory and not worth the money we were charged for it - The restaurants were expensive. While the food at the Chinese restaurant was good, the food at the cafe was really bad
i like everything, resort, location, service, facilities, staff. its beautiful placetostay..
nice rooms close to the seven wells, cable car, and a great beach food was excellent (it was included in the deal we had and we did not regret it at all!)
I like the location , it was very unique , staff are very welcoming and supportive
wi-fi was so poor , under the bed was full of spider nets which gives a clue there is no proper cleaning pest control material left with no guidlines to use it
Well I think this hotel left us with mixed feelings. First of all the positive side: the location was really a paradise and the hotel is basically built in a rainforest! You really get the “jungle” feeling! The pool area as well as the beach is very beautiful a well! The staff is very friendly and helpful with very generous in greetings etc. The room we stayed in was also very comfortable; we had the premier chalet. However, if this is supposed to be one of the more “new” rooms, I can totally picture and understand the complaints in more standard rooms! It was actually quite run-down.
Then the more negative parts: first the bed! It was really horrible and definitely not what you expect from a 5-star quality! My wife was left with pain after the first night! Then the breakfast; it was really poor in both variety as well as quality of the products! Perhaps a bit too ambitious to claim, but for a five-star and especially for this price range, a decent coffee and “fresh” juice should not be too much of an expectation. The whole island is full of fantastic fruits and looking at the occupancy in the breakfast area(like 10 guys of which the majority practically only are smiling and greeting you) they could easily “squeeze some fruits”!! The check-in/out took also quite long! I recommend to avoid checking-in around noon as it was busy in all days we were there! The last comment is on the wines they were selling at the lobby! Some very old wines (Montalcino of 2005 for €25) were sold here as a kind of “Christmas promotion” so I took it a shot and obviously it had gone bad and I did return it, but just a warning to other guests to remind that “if something is too good to be true, ….) and as it concerns to the Hotel management, a shame on you to deceive people!!!
