Berjaya Redang Resort  

The actual resort was great. Clean rooms, fantastic restaurant, right on the beach. Good for two nights, no more.

Transportation to and from the hotel is a bit of a hassle. Considering Air Asia only has two flights departing from Terraganu ( 7:30am - 9:00pm) Berjaya only offers one boat in the morning at 7:00am - not good for either flight. Berjaya staff then considered our situation as being unique and originally offered to organize a boat for us for 1200 Ringgit. We then talked to some of the locals and found our own way for 50 Ringgit a person. This attempt to swindle us seemed to extend from ordering beer to offering food choices - all of which come at a premium at the hotel. Berjaya dominates one beach ( the most beautiful of the two) and the other beach is on the opposite side of the Island not easily assessable by land. There is only one other restaurant on the Berjaya side of the island - so the feeling of being trapped is a little unavoidable if you make a reservation for more than two nights. I would consider the Luguna Hotel on the other side of the Island if you want more access to other options (nine hotels approximately, a store with snacks, small supplies and beer). Berjaya cannot compete with that. Berjaya also charges for internet, billiards, rentals of snorkeling equipment... the thing that I don't like is that they know you don't have any other options on this side of the island so they seem more than willing to want to strip you of your cash one service at a time. Laguna Hotel seemed more organized, provided better options and will not leave you with the feeling of being trapped. Note the change in name when you get there - it is now called the Terrace - or something of that nature.

This hotel is located in paradise, it is very nicely built, furnished and equipped. Luxury, comfort, beatiful view wherever you look. The staff is very friendly. I was very satisfied with my choice of this hotel.

The price was quite high, I can't afford such luxury every holiday. But we had a few important anniversaries with my wife this year, so decided to take it. I do not regret this decision.

Our room was over any possible immagination, too too beaufull and the view was incredible. We had also a jacuzzi with color therapy. It was a paradise! We are divers, the deep was the best ever seen and the diving staff excellent. Sand and water were unreal!

It is very expensive. We spent about 400euro for day b&b in the best category of room but is was wonderfull!

The price too high (900 myr only for taxes:16 per cent),you have to pay for espresso and cappuccino (tipical italian breakfast),nuts prices for dinner and alcohol(if you go outside the resort you pay 5 euros for a dinner), no nightlife at 11 P.M. you have to close up in your room.Plastic bag for the last step on the beach.Waiting time for the restaurant on the beach 2 hours.Everimorning no beach chairs at all (it was a real pain)

Crystal clear beach although little fish could be found near the resort. The paradise-like beach was a perfect place for swimming and sun-bathing. The private resort was quiet and the staffs were friendly.

The fan seems old and has sound. A small choice of food.

Stunning resort snorkelling is brilliant , staff friendly and Beach Pimms delicious.

So quiet none of the trips other than snorkelling were on

A great romantic & quiet get-away for couples and families. We have been here twice already - and enjoyed it everytime! One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen & definitely the best location on Redang (long beach has dirty / blurry water and the beach is not very nice) with white sandy beach surounded by rainforest.

Food is rather expensive and not of best quality but right outside the hotel are 3 local restaurants & one mini market, which offer very good quality of food for more than reasonable prices.

Lovely location & nice staff.

Their Policy of down sizing to only 2 individuals per room, May not be value for money

La ubicación, la playa y las actividades del hotel.

La comida es demasiado cara para el standard de Malasia, y la calidad no justifica el precio.

Lage....jedoch max. 3 Tage, dann wird es sehr eintoenig. Auf der Insel kann man sonst nichts machen..VIP Abholservice (fiuer Suitebewohner ausschliesslich) von und zum Flughafen..Hotelangestellte checken das Gepaeck schon frueh ein...die Gaeste kommen an, steigen in den Flieger und los gehts..toll! Wenn die Anlage einmal fertig renoviert ist, bestimmt wunderschoen. Aber Preise fuer Malaysia total ueberhoeht - wohnen seit 2 Jahren in Malaysia-..ALLES Kostet extra und nicht wenig!

3 Presslufthammer gleichzeitig vom 8:30 bis 8 Uhr am Abend (1 Std, Mittagspaus!) direkt hinter unserer sehr teuren Oceanfront-Suite...auch am Strand war der ohrenbetaeubende Laerm hoerbar. .Und es geht bestimmt noch Monate. Finden es unverschaemt, dass wir zuvor nicht von den Baumassnahmen und Uebernahme durch eine andere Hotelkette -namenswechsel- informiert worden sind...dazu kam eine tropfende Toilette, Haustelefon funktionierte aufgrund der Bauarbeiten nicht...KEINE Preisreduzierung!!

Perfekt resmål för sol och bad. Perfekt sandbotten och inga koraller på botten.Goda snorkling möjligheter på ena sidan av bukten.Rent och klart vatten. Solstolar finns på stranden.Städat och rent överallt. Trevlig och uppmärksam personal gör vistelsen till en upplevelse. Frukostbuffe av stora mått, även middagen går att få som buffe eller ala carte.Gott om utflykter och aktiviteter.Bra även för barnfamiljer då det är långgrunt i havet och det finns även barnpooler för de små.

Det enda som saknades var att det inte fanns några madrasser till solstolarna.

La plage et la mer etaient tout simplement magnifiques!!Le "snorkeling" est a faire sans la moindre hesitation..Nous etions en voyage de noce et on nous a prepare une chambre decoree specialement pour nous et on nous a offert un petit gateau. A partir du balcon de notre chambre "Hillside View Deluxe" on pouvait admirer la couleur bleu turquoise de la mer et les cocotiers!!!Le personnel est toujours souriant...C'etait formidable!

Le petit dejeuner pourrait etre d'une meilleure qualite.
