very friendly staff and good service. Food was generally good. We were told there was uninterrupted clear beach views, but not so - beach umbrellas obstruct the view of the beach and sea from the rooms (except hillside, which are up away from the beach). Ocean front rooms (expensive) are well furnished but too close to the action for any feeling of seclusion. As a result we moved to a better but further away from beach room (which was an upgrade they offered us). But didn't really meet my requirements for a beach holiday. Main problem of resort was that despite very high cost of room, everything, absolutely everything and every activity was charged extra for, to the extent of just feeling mean. Was quite off putting.

Snorkelling moment. There is one problem of the transportation. Hotel staff should remind the customer about the fery cost because during the reservation, they did not explain to me which jetty to go between shah bandar and merang and I doesnt have any idea that the fery have to pay because the hotel staff did not inform it. Tq.

- We got a complimentary updrage on arrival. - The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to attend to our needs. - The water / beach surrounded by so much greenary was amazing!! - Barely any options on the Menu for vegetarian people - The resort didn't offer much for entertainment other than the pool/ beach and an entertainment room which was fairly basic and you have to pay per game which is not nice once you have already paid so much for your rooms. Most resorts allow you to use their games for free. Adding something like a table tennis table, group games etc would have been fun as the island doesn't have much to do.

The actual resort was great. Clean rooms, fantastic restaurant, right on the beach. Good for two nights, no more. Transportation to and from the hotel is a bit of a hassle. Considering Air Asia only has two flights departing from Terraganu ( 7:30am - 9:00pm) Berjaya only offers one boat in the morning at 7:00am - not good for either flight. Berjaya staff then considered our situation as being unique and originally offered to organize a boat for us for 1200 Ringgit. We then talked to some of the locals and found our own way for 50 Ringgit a person. This attempt to swindle us seemed to extend from ordering beer to offering food choices - all of which come at a premium at the hotel. Berjaya dominates one beach ( the most beautiful of the two) and the other beach is on the opposite side of the Island not easily assessable by land. There is only one other restaurant on the Berjaya side of the island - so the feeling of being trapped is a little unavoidable if you make a reservation for more than two nights. I would consider the Luguna Hotel on the other side of the Island if you want more access to other options (nine hotels approximately, a store with snacks, small supplies and beer). Berjaya cannot compete with that. Berjaya also charges for internet, billiards, rentals of snorkeling equipment... the thing that I don't like is that they know you don't have any other options on this side of the island so they seem more than willing to want to strip you of your cash one service at a time. Laguna Hotel seemed more organized, provided better options and will not leave you with the feeling of being trapped. Note the change in name when you get there - it is now called the Terrace - or something of that nature.

Private beach, beautiful bay. Very quite spot, stunning beach and turquoise water (plenty of underwater life - snorkeling straight off the beach and many good spots nearby). Very nice rooms (decoration) and comfortable. Not much is included in standard package price. Snorkel hire, activities, espresso's - all available but at additional price (prices quite high- almost 12 RM for single espresso)

Our room was over any possible immagination, too too beaufull and the view was incredible. We had also a jacuzzi with color therapy. It was a paradise! We are divers, the deep was the best ever seen and the diving staff excellent. Sand and water were unreal! It is very expensive. We spent about 400euro for day b&b in the best category of room but is was wonderfull!

I like her beach, the sand is very soft and white, hill view rooms is good and have a good sea view, the staff service is good and the peoples are very kind. Before arrival at the hotel, I don't know we could fly directly from kl to this hotel and I hope BOOKING.com could mention it in your description of this hotel.

Location very good, staff smiles everytime.Exclusive Beach very good The price too high (900 myr only for taxes:16 per cent),you have to pay for espresso and cappuccino (tipical italian breakfast),nuts prices for dinner and alcohol(if you go outside the resort you pay 5 euros for a dinner), no nightlife at 11 P.M. you have to close up in your room.Plastic bag for the last step on the beach.Waiting time for the restaurant on the beach 2 hours.Everimorning no beach chairs at all (it was a real pain)

A great romantic & quiet get-away for couples and families. We have been here twice already - and enjoyed it everytime! One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen & definitely the best location on Redang (long beach has dirty / blurry water and the beach is not very nice) with white sandy beach surounded by rainforest. Food is rather expensive and not of best quality but right outside the hotel are 3 local restaurants & one mini market, which offer very good quality of food for more than reasonable prices.

Facilities and service were superb. Location is excellent and very nice beach with crytal clear water and white sandy beach. Lots of huts to relax and enjoy the scenery.. and plenty of choices for food in the main restaurants and bars. There is also nearby restaurant just outside the main entrance if you are looking for local delicacies and good ikan bakar. The ferry transfer was great, very convenient as they handled all our luggages from the jetty point all the way to the hotel. The hillside deluxe room that we got were too basic for the price we paid. Pool facilities could be improved a lot with more kids friendly facilities and cant find any chaging room there except for the toilets in one of the restaurants.

This hotel is located in paradise, it is very nicely built, furnished and equipped. Luxury, comfort, beatiful view wherever you look. The staff is very friendly. I was very satisfied with my choice of this hotel. The price was quite high, I can't afford such luxury every holiday. But we had a few important anniversaries with my wife this year, so decided to take it. I do not regret this decision.

Appalling service. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Exorbitant prices and false advertising. We arrived at end of season (were not advised of this) to be told that almost everything was closed, put away or depleted! No wine, much food and alcohol missing off menu, only one restaurant open, no boogie boards (except for staff, just to rub salt into the wound), beach chairs already stored at back of the beach and no attempt to make it comfortable for guests, beach bar left devoid of seat cushions, no activities. Every time we would request something we were told - not possible, resort closing. A very expensive disaster resulting from dishonesty of hotel charging peak prices when this was clearly not the case.

Excellent beach and the sea was very clear (could see my toes from when neck deep in the water) Service was a bit slow at times and the overall maintenance could have been better (E.G. repainting the exterior walls)

Crystal clear beach although little fish could be found near the resort. The paradise-like beach was a perfect place for swimming and sun-bathing. The private resort was quiet and the staffs were friendly. The fan seems old and has sound. A small choice of food.
