Berjaya Tioman Resort  

Deluxe -huone oli siisti ja hyvällä merinäköalalla varustettu, Hotellin aamiainen oli oikein hyvä, mutta muita ravintolapalveluita emme juurikaan käyttäneet. Henkilökuntaa oli riittävästi ja olivat palveluhaluisia. Saattoi johtua siitä, että näin parhaaseen low season -aikaan hlökuntaa oli selvästi enemmän kuin asiakkaita. Heti resortin ulkopuolella oli aivan loistava ja edullinen kalaravintola (portilta katsoen oikealla - rohkeasti sisään vain). Lämpimästi suosittelen!

Huoneet aavistuksen kulahtaneet. Kaikki kuitenkin toimi niin kuin pitikin. Ruokailun ja muiden lisäpalvelujen hinnat ovat suolaisia, Onneksi kylältä löytyy yksityisiä yrittäjiä, joiden kanssa voi diilata erikoishintoja. Marras-joulukuun vaihde on monsuunikautta ja vettä tulikin ajoittain todella runsaasti. Toki väliin mahtui aurinkoakin. Jos tavoitteena on pelkkä rantaloma, niin kannattaa valita toinen ajankohta/paikka. Lentoyhtiö (Berjaya Air) veloitti törkeästi lisämaksua matkatavaroista: lipun hintaan sisältyi vain 10kg, lisäkilot 15 paikallista.

The hotel itself is rather a three star hotel but, unfortunately, it's the best option on the island if you want a nice beach but not completely isolated. Few tips: 1. do not take the superior room (they are located in for room buildings), take the standard bungalow if you want to avoid noisy neighbours; room amenities are the same; 2. do not take the buffet, order a la carte, the food is much better and cheaper; 3. try the restaurant just outside the hotel on the beach, they have good and cheap food; 4. do not buy alcohol from the hotel, there is a shop just outside the hotel which is very cheap; 5. must have a massage in the hotel spa (very good and not very expensive); 6. go snorkeling to Rengis island which is in front of the hotel but also to Tulai island which is in the north-west part of the island, best snorkeling there (near some rocks in the middle of the sea); 7. go to ABC beach for sunset (a round trip by taxi is app 20 Ringits, 5 Eur, there are taxis just outside the hotel).

The beach is very beautiful and the chalets are cozy

The personnel is very rude and don't speak a good English prices at the market inside are not reasonable (a bottle of water for 8 ring!)

Landscaping, location, nice beach, nice food, private market near lobby.

Room we stayed smelled not so good due to closeness to bathroom of next room. When next room is empty, no problem (first days of stay).

Berjaya is fantastic!!! The location is excellent, berjaya beach is overlooking the renggis island so it is very convenient to get to Renggis for snorkeling the standard chalet and deluxe chalet are so neat and pretty. The room is clean , toilet is clean . Although the air conditioner is old but who cares it is functional.

Water leak problem occurs during shower so the floor will be all wet after the shower. The service charge is well over-priced and It costs me about 400 ringgit for 3 nights stay.

The hotel is well located near the beach and offers nice facilities (swimming pool, gym, etc...), they also propose a complimentary end-to- end transfer service from the airport to the hotel.

Extra bed for kids could have been included in the package - the food is fine but not great.

I love staying on the beach and being able to snorkel directly from the beach. There is many lovely corals and fish to look at within feet of the shore.

The hotel bedrooms are shabby and in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathrooms need a refit. They are well below what you would expect for 4 star. This is my second visit so you can see the positives outweigh the negatives for me but I am sure many are disappointed.

Food is compared the mainland a bit expensive, but this is normal I guess because, location location location!!

Beautiful island and the Resort is by the beach.

The resort is on a long beach which is too wide and spread out, not cozy and not personalized.

The complex is great!! (even more beautiful than at the pictures). The beach, the snorkeling, the jungletrack, the breakfast, it all is great!

The only problem here is the noise from neighbouring rooms! That can be bad and disturbing the peace! We had very noisy neighbours, but luckily we could get an other room.

Excellent Thai and Chinese restaurant. Staff were very friendly. Snorkeling still fantastic and BT Resort is a good starting point.
