Clean room, helpful staff, awesome scones. Great, peaceful stray with no issues - would definitely return.

WiFi only in common areas; limited breakfast (you can do a bit better in town at the Indian places).

We booked a double room with a shared bathroom and it was absolutely perfect, our room was super clean, spacious and had a really comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was spotless and both showers had amazing pressure, the cleaners were always in the bathrooms cleaning and mopping, I never saw it dirty. The area is beautiful and quiet, it makes for a really relaxing stay and even though we stayed here when it was fully booked we always had a peaceful and undisturbed sleep. I would highly recommend Cameronian Inn to anyone travelling to Tanah Rata if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable stay on a budget.

Nothing, we loved our stay and will be back!

I liked the garden, and it was a quiet place to relax

The rooms were reasonable but the bed sheets, quilt were old and torn too. and was smelling. I would recommend if the hotel management can change. And also a warm welcome at least a SMILE a staff should give. I felt like only money is the first priority.

Very near to bus station. The view around the hotel is so pleasant. Markets are too near to buy something.Food Restaurants are also near. Money changer is also available near to it. You may buy bus tickets from the hotel. Another good point is that the touring bus can pick you at the gate of hotel for your next destination.

The Staff is not so friendly. Washrooms are not so commodious.

Quiet place (outside) close to the city. Nice terrasse.

Extremely noisy inside the hotel, even if clients are quiet. Bed absolutely not comfortable and very old. Staff mostly interested to take the money for the night than to give advice and to welcome correctly the customer. Need to pay for paper toilets and towels. Very poor breakfast, need to pay extra for more food. A lot of regulation inside the hotel (like a prison...). After 2 months in several Asian country with reservations, probably the worst hotel we got.

Friendly host! Everything is well explained at check in, nice signage for guests and thoughtful maps of hiking trails and things to do are posted all over the common area, very thoughtful! Great outdoor seating areas in a garden type environment Cozy, mellow vibe at the guesthouse! A very welcome and homey feel at this place, Breakfast was great--- free hot toast and jam, local highlands Tea and coffee and you can purchase other items like eggs or scones and jam for very reasonable prices! We would stay here again, a lot of care goes into this place-- it was great and really made our trip to the Highlands!!! Thanks Yen!! :)

Rooms have no Fan--- but the host kindly provided a small one for us on request :) Windows have no screens. But of course it's not very hot in the Highlands so you can close the window to keep out any bugs!

Location was pretty good. Nice outdoor seating area.

First off, this us more of a hostel than an Inn or hotel, so a bit misleading. And I had booked the hotel and discovered upon arrival that they had padded their room rates, and I was paying 50-100% more by going online. I tried my best to negotiate with them, and may have gotten a slightly better room, but still paying 50% more than anyone else there. Very annoyed with the manager's elf-off attitude. I've lived in Malaysia for 3 years, stayed at 150 hotels, speak Malay, and have never been treated so rudely. Also be prepared to pay extra for everything, towel, toilet paper (!), if you accidentally lock your door during a nightime bathroom run, $100 ringgit! The included breakfast? A piece of toast and cup of tea. Bottom line, there's better places to stay, more upfront that won't nickel and dime you. (I contacted about them padding their rates, which is against their agreements. They were unequally unreasonable with, and the hotel refused to correct the rate, so us personally refunding the difference to me, so they do honor their best price guarantee, even if they have to pay out of their own pocket. Also staff were great to work with. Thanks! Hopefully will terminate their listing with Cameronian Inn).
