The staff were very helpful and were prompt to rectify problems such as a broken tap and dirty bathroom. In response to my complaint about the bathroom, the entire room was thoroughly cleaned including changing the curtains. Room service was good and didn't have a surcharge but I had two visits from staff for payment in cash despite having guaranteed my purchases with a credit card. Advertised as having a bar but this had been closed for some time. Drinks were available in the restaurant. Advertised as all rooms with sea views but these were actually only partial sea views. Some floors had been recently refreshed while others were in need of redecorating. |

the staffs are all attentive... , however, would prefer that the hotel can upgrade the internet service to guest room ..WiFi instead of at the Cafeteria,... as i need to be online during midnit with Middle East country. There are also mosquitos bite there |

the pool the beach was very poor and the water unclean. the rooms need updating. and the tv channels were rubbish. food and drink in hotel were expensive. there isn't a great deal to do or see in the area near the hotel. |

The hotel was easily accessible from the city centre of Penang by car, and also the price was reasonable, compared with other resort hotels. Most of the hotel staff were cheerful and helpful and its restaurant had a play area for kids. However, the hotel was not located in the beach resort area and also its facility was rather old and limited. Compared with other resort hotels, the number of restaurants was limited in Copthorne Orchid Hotel Penang. Also there were quite a lot of flies in the restaurant. About the private beach, it was not so big and beautiful as advertised, and I saw only a few hotel guests using it. |

Room is clean and the facilities are good value for money. All equipments in the room are in good condition. Nice sea view. We feel the rates and room are a good choice for backpackers and solo travellers. The hotel was black out for a couple of hours and we couldn't get into our room for the duration. It was until 2.30am only then we were able to take the elevator and enter our room. We feel the door and walls are a bit thin as we can hear people walking and talking outside our room. |

Swimming pool facility The water pressure is very slow on the 19th floor. Can hardly shower!!! The air conditioning is also very poor at night. Electricity saving perhaps?? Furthermore, there's no complimentary breakfast for 2 as other hotels do. |
