Great location , 1 min walk to bus station and LRT . Very friendly staffs , thanks to Sahil and Anandh giving an amazing service . Just ask then they will give you everything ;)
Make up room service need to order to be done :(
We loved the location and if you need a taxi they are just outside. Good wifi and great communal space.
The sheets were mouldy and bedroom was dirty, under the bed was gross. The bathroom was ok and not particularly clean.
Facilities, Cleanliness, Location
1- ||Security||: The very low promotion prices for the accommodation will end you up in a community that behave as following, shout at the med of the night, open the light from time to time and set next to your bed in groups while you are sleeping. 2- ||Privacy||: The computers that available there have no minimum security not even administrator levels and its connected to the internet all the time which make it possible for anyone even from the guests to install a free key-logger software and steel all your photos, bank information, passwords and all other personal data you may use on real time bases while you are working. 3- ||Quality||: The food quality is very poor with unknown brands or any details about healthy use and manufacturing. 4- ||Respect||: According to my personal experience there raising an issue to the managing staff may end up with an argument of the guest is not saying the troth for some personal reason such early check out or money refund. That attitude that lead me to leave two days early which I already paid for and file a police report against them and I told them before I leave do you think I will lie to get 40 RM!! 5- ||Personal Notes||: The 15% off trick, I heard one of the staff talking about the 15% off that they offer for the guest who go to Singapore branch is a trick and they pay it back at the last day. The credit cards that Booking.com collect for grantee, they are already checked via the online system against the use of wrong numbers or expired dates, while the staff was talking on the phone to someone asking him to authorize 10% down payment from the credit cards and he state the reason of some people are using expired cards or wrong credit cards numbers " which is not possible because of booking.com pre validation on this issue, the only possible issue could be that they tried to use this numbers while some cards was out of money or exceeding a limit they thought it might be expired or with wrong numbers"
Very helpful staff
The room is too small and untidy
Location, free breakfast, rooftop
A bed uncomfortable, a hot shower can't operated
I like the most the staff and the location of the facility very convenient for all the tourist destinations. The staff and even the manager of the facility were very nice, friendly & accomodating. But though, one thing i just dont like was that the linens were quite old already & needs replacement for a new i say.I thank u for the accomodation & the help, more power to the management.
The linens that were old already, needs replacement. Each room should at least have an air freshener for additional comfort.
The rooftop was open 24 hrs ;)
everything was amazing, people, room, I didn`t want leave this place
Actually really nice location. A bit far, but you can walk to most of the sites around the city in 30 minutes or so. The place is typical for a hostel: nothing dirty or bad but a bit off. But that's what you get for the price value.
Fernloft is a very good hostel in kl and specially the staff crew sahil, shravan, swapan and anandh has treated us like a family members and really helped us a lot.i enjoyed a lot in this hostel and I recomend this hostel to every one and its a good place to be der like near to chinatown,LRT station and free bus services in front of the hostel.
This hostel is more towards the budget travelers, but they try their best to give a cozy look to the hostel. I was there just for one night, and could not try the breakfast. It was very cheap room cost, and probably one of the very few hostels with large dorms (22 beds/dorm). There is a rooftop, which I'm not sure it's allowed, but could be a good place to drink a beer or hangout with people. The staff must be highly appreciate for their very friendly service. They provide you with clear info about the city, maps, etc. the check-in and out times were a little bit strict, although you could put your baggage for free. Even if you are not chuck Norris, Pasar Seni bus station and MRT station are in a stone throw away. There are many places to eat street food (read: Nasi Lemak).
He dorm was a little but smelly, but that's understandable considering the number of people stayed in the dorm. The location is right in front of the station, but you can sometimes miss it because the entrance was small and the receipts in is in the second floor. Both are minor concerns however.
Good staff lovely & very very clean beds
Only the washroom area is bit small
I like the accessibility, nice free breakfast, good value for money and many toilets for shower, the rent for dormitory is the cheapest deal I got within Kuala Lumpur , it was great for 19 rm, in 12 dorm type, I am happy that the receptionist named sky help me with few things I needed most and the Indian cute guy who advices me for my travel time, they let me stay fr awhile even I already checked out...thank you so much
The bed s not so good fr me, coz when I climed to my deck I feel it will fall down, I suggest perhaps get a stronger one, nothing else
location, price that s it
too many bed bugs and no good smells in the room. i can not use hot water shower. shit breakfast(Cheap bread with jam)
Well Located, good security system, big locker, clean dorm, clean shared restroom, near Puduraya, Chinatown, GoKL bus, Hop On-Off bus shuttle, Pasar Seni Station and Kuala Lumpur ktn Station. Kind and helpful reseptionist.
No towel Office hour 9 am. I came early in 4.30 am from Thailand waiting until 6 am without anyone open the door for me. Then I choose to leaving to Singapore.
The receptionist is so kind and helpfully. Breakfast on rooftop. Is actually near the Pasar Seni Train Station, in front of Hotel Geo. Just need to have a little walk to Petaling Street Chinatown and just walk more to get Puduraya station. Just need 1 RM from KL Central. And you can go to KLCC from Pasar Seni near the hostel for 1,6 RM. To go to Batu Caves, just cross the bridge from Pasar Seni station than go with KTM. Sleep tight because at 12 PM they turn off the light.
Should open from 7AM for those arrive early in the morning.
dekat dengan transportasi "percuma" atau free, dekat dengan chinatown
the room smells bad
Location is very convenience and freely access with bus and train Roof top area is wide and good for hang out but need a bit for the cleanliness.
I was alone in dormitory of plenty male travellers. However, a little bit surprise once entered in for me if it would have been told before i will appreciate about that of course it was according to my reservation selected. I arrived early and they hold me to wait until check-in time 02:00 pm. That is correct but I have informed them through email. Staff was not good and not behave well properly and none of service minded. They want to charge me for tax for my booking but it was not explain in the condition where i had reserved my reservation from. Room smell very bad. And at least the restroom on the second floor should be good take care as well. No ventilator even during daytime because no AC until 7 pm..Unbelievable!!!
Friendly staff, clean and nice location.
Very small room, no window and the fan is blowing in your face all night. Also worn bed.
The bathroom was very clean, especially considering the amount of people that use it. People in the dorm were very quiet at night. No problems at all.
The beds in the dorm are terribly uncomfortable. It would be great to have wifi on the rooftop.
the location is good. next to pasar seni station.
this hotel shouldn't have carpet! it's the tropics! the room smelt like a cross between urine, durian, and cigarettes. it was also very tiny. next door at matahari lodge is much better.
Fern loft staff are so friendly and helpfull. The staff that wes there when i checked in put me on an all female room even if i book in a mixed room. Thats without me having to add another money. Thank you fernloft enjoyed staying for 2 nyts..quite place to stay and safe.
Roof with beautiful night view and toast breakfasts. The hostels stays nearby China town - in the city centre - a 15-30 minutes walk from all the sightseeing views of Kuala Lumpur.
Do not take a room without windows. Maybe for You it is convenient - but, actually, it is not good in general. A room with a window costs 10 RM more but it is woth.
