Location is excellent n very comfortable indeed. The apple iflavoured ice cream served during check in was a pleasant surprise. My family and I did enjoy our stay n wouldvrecommend it to our friends The big non smoking sign on the front glass is quite misleading as smoking was allowed in the lobby and ashtrays were actually provided |

Hotel should consider installing additional towel railings in their bathrooms to facilitate hanging and air drying of towels in between use, if the Hotel is serious about going Green. Using the very cramped railing currently available means that towels do not dry out properly in between uses; obviously a hygiene issue. |

Good location very close to the mall and George town After 11 pm this lobby turn into a night club very loud music & lil light which is very annoying and it scared my little 6 months old baby, they charged me 120 ringget beacuse the tissue box fell down and got dammage it was only a box!!! The beds are so not comfertable and the bath is a 3 star hotel as the water wad leaking from everywhere I wouldn't stay there again |

The rooms are new, very comfortable, quite big, very clean, and the have indeed a lot of style, we liked it! There are not enough power stations in the room (that's a problem when' you are travlling with iPod, notebook, cellphone...). But to be honest, there isn't actually a point to complain about (the freely provided mountainbikes are old!) |

Walking distance to the popular Gurney Drive hawker stalls The TV mounted on the wall is too high. The bathroom should have a mixer showers (i.e. a handset). |

I enjoyed pretty much everything about this hotel. The front desk staff were excellent, the concierge and porters also. The hotel was beautiful, and while not perfect, it fuses the concepts of boutique hotel and luxury hotel very well. The room was spacious and well equipped. Also, the cocktail bar is brilliant. Superb cocktails and very friendly staff. The entertainment the nights we were there (Ray and his band) was highly enjoyable. Overall, I would say that this is one of the nicest hotels of its class that I've ever stayed in. Every hotel should give their guests a tub of homemade icecream upon check in. Instead of a complimentary mini-bar with very few palatable items, I would have preferred a stocked minibar that we paid for ourselves. |

Great location for shopping and food being right next door to Gurney Plaza and Gurney hawker centre. Impressed with the very friendly staff who all checked you were enjoying your stay - even the housekeeping or maintenance staff you met in the hallway or elevator would do so. Room size is huge. Complimentary water and soft drinks in mini-bar, complimentary parking and internet are a nice touch. Surprised to be served a complimentary gelato at reception whilst checking in! Questionable cleanliness of the rooms. Probably more an issue with the quality of the construction rather than lack of cleaning. Nonetheless in a new(ish) upmarket hotel establishment you wouldn't expect to see patchy carpets in the rooms, lumpy carpeting in the hallway, yellowing/brown silicon and grout in the bathrooms, pooling of water in the shower recess due to incorrect fall of tiles. There was no hair conditioner available (only body soap and shampoo in wall-mounted pump packs). Also the usual amenities (toothbrush, comb, cotton buds, etc) aren't provided in the rooms and must be requested for. |

Location, Location, Location. It is Gurney Drive where one can sample a variety of local cuisines and next door is a relatively upmarket shopping centre While the lobby looks impressive but the furnishing and the room decor is made up of very cheap material but guised as expensive unless one look at it carefully. I would not rate it 4 or 5 star. It is more a 3 star hotel. |

Free bike rental and free internet in your room was excellent! The hotel is right next to a plaza so the atmosphere is always very lively. Various food stalls in the nearby gurney drive market and other cafes and restaurants. i loved the location as well as the atmosphere in the hotel... I wouldn't stay anywhere else if i went back to Penang (unless you want to stay right on the beach). |

1.Location is great. From food to shopping are all within walking distance. 2. Hotel facilities is good. Cleanliness of the room can be improved, I have seen layers of dust on the TV rack and study table. A microwave in the service apartment will be even better. |

The location and ambience - love the lobby - the feel of comfort and the jazzy music. There only reasone we stayed there was because of the proximity to good class shopping, cinema and Famous Gurney Drive hawker centre. No need to take public transport, no jams!! The delay in the check-in due to some mix-up on the hotel side. |

The fact that it is next to the mall and also many varieties of food are available within walking distance. The first room we were given had leaking water from the toilet. We had to get a room change the next day. |

Pleasant easy fast check in - ice-cream on check in and requested ice-cream on checkout ;) served with a smile. Nice big clean room and given free upgrade to 1 bedroom apartment, always polite, friendly staff. |
