Relaxed The bathroom is too old. The curtain is too cheap and sticks to your body when you are taking a shower. The mat in bath tub is dirty and has mildews. The curtain is not able to contain the water in the tub and everything gets wet. There was a hole in the towels (too old). |

I probably like just about everything and anything at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La. The staff are just so courteous, friendly and accommodating, and when I mean the staff, it is at all levels; from the chambermaid to the General Manager. The complimentary use of the internet at the lobby was such a big plus plus because it helped a lot for a holiday business traveller like me who doesn't carry a laptop around! Nothing really, other than perhaps, the night live music down at the Garden Cafe could be better off further away, such as maybe the new restaurant house by the beach. For noise intolerant residents, the night live music may not be favourable to them. As for myself, it did not bother me. |

The location, breakfast, and the activities in front of the hotel were great. The hotel is located in the middle of the night market and is currently under renovation (almost completed and looks great). The pictures for the rooms in the website reflects the hotel before the renovation. The room size was small but acceptable. |

The staff were very friendly and helpfull. the selection at breakfast was amazing! The newly renovated rooms are gorgeous! The only hesitation was the renovations that were going on. But we knew about them and the staff did everything they could to make life easier. it was just one of those things. |

Excellent location and wonderful staff. Pool was large and well maintained Renovation going on at the time so a little noisy however staff tried to compensate by allowing people to use the sister hotel facilities. The hotel is family orientated so a lot of children around. |

Great place, nice room, great breakfast, nice staff We were unlucky to plan to spend 3 days there when the hotel was on renovations. We decided then to leave after only one night instead of 3. Otherwise Batu Ferringhi itself was not amazing: not much to do. One must also know that we were there in September, so it was maybe because of the low seasons. The last point is: impossible to swim in the sea because of jelly fish. |

Hotellet var veldig bra, det lå i fine omgivelser og ikke langt fra stor by, resortet var altid med masse aktivitet og det var godt lagt opp for familier og andre. Hotellets fasiliteter stengte mye runt 20:00 og etter dette var det kun resturanter.noe med for andre gjester som gjerne kunne likt en bar/musikk/ dans hadde vert et pluss. |
