Location was ideal to move around. Minimal cost on travel.

I booked 4 rooms and all four rooms were infected with bed bugs!! Countless of them. It was really a horrifying experience for my friends and I. It certainly wasnt a pleasant nor restful night for many of us. I sincerely and ernestly implore the management to look into this matter asap. We were terribly disappointed!!! Morever the counter staff was not able to handle the guests queries. She was trying to multi-task, sad to say it didnt work. Since it was a long weekend I purpose the hotel management would have anticipated a big number of guest checking in and out. I believe the coutner staff could have handle the guests qeuries in a more professional manner,

The location is excellent - a 10-minute walk to the city center.

air con is not controllable, very cold. Bed is too old, not comfortable either.

So many Mosquitos

Mr Adrian, the hotel receptionist was very polite, helpful and he is very professional in his work. Mr Adrian gave us a warm welcome upon our check in and throughout our stay, he even share with us the best food in Malacca town, where to visit the places of interest. We seriously think he is very good at his job and he should be rewarded for the good services rendered to the hotel customers.

We were very disappointed with the hotel room. There was a cigarette butt found on the carpet, the toilet bowl was not washed and has dirty stains left by earlier hotel guests until we complained on the 2nd day to room service. The bed sheet stinks and it was dirty, it looks like it was not been changed from the previous hotel guests stay. The bed sheet was crumpled & it looks like it has been used and slept on before by other guests. There were couple of mug stains, at least 6~7 of it on the bedside table. There were also stains on bathtub. In conclusion, the room service was terrible and it seriously need to be improved and upgraded. On our 2nd & 3rd day of our stay (9 & 10th Feb '12), there was no hot water in the hotel. Breakfast was lousy and overall the hotel staff were not friendly and my family and I will not go back to the hotel again.

The location is good and the room is comfortable.

Nothing just the bed and pillow need to change cause it is too soft.

Beside hocker, easy to fine food to eat.

The room I booked is for 4 pax but when I entered into the room, I found out there are only 2 towels in the bathroom instead of suppose to be 4. The air-cond is too cool until we can't sleep nicely. There is no remote control to control it.

Location at town areas

1. Staff knowledge was poor and no communication on the hotel information such as room rate. Called 3 times also different rate quoted! 2. Check-in to a dirty room with tissue box without tissue, pillow with BED BUG which make my whole bodies itchy and now with scar of the bite! Request to meet with Duty manager and none visited till the day check-out when I requested again only the Room Division Manager came out! This call hotel service??? 3. Check-in to a NO AIR-COND Room!, 12midnight, a security man came to check on the air-cond together with another security women. Cannot be repair, asked if we are alright to make room change, we said OK. waited and waited already 3 in the morning were my 2 kids already slept.. called to reception, then only they offer me room change. much appreciate room changed at 3am!!! and no dm to meet and apologies on the next day! 4. After room changed, it was an upgraded room to executive floor which we really unfortunate the room bathroom was stuck and flooded which we have to delay our activities while awaiting your maintenance to repair as we need to shower on the next day. 5. While we at Deluxe Room, there were 2 mineral bottled in our room. When we been upgraded to Executive, there were NO MINERAL WATER. Called to reception, mentioned that mineral water are not entitled! What is this??? higher floor don't have mineral water while the cheapest floor does?? Does this make sense?? 6. I TOTALLY NOT HAPPY WITH GRAND CONTINENTAL HOTEL MELAKA, AND GRAND CONTINENTAL WAS A INTERNATIONAL CHAIN HOTEL! THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A HOTEL SERVICE INDUSTRIES! I DO HOPE TO GET A RETURN ANSWER FROM THE MANAGEMENT.
