Grand Continental Hotel Melaka

Actually, I can't be bothered giving feedback, as I do not have intention of going back there again. But since your organization send me this feedback by email, I guess here are some expression of my unhappiness. This is by far, the worst hotel in a city I've ever been. My feedback as follow: 1. The air-con in the room is non-adjustable, and are too cold for comfort, 2. the room and the carpet in the room is dirty and smelly, 3. Bath-tub is leaking and smelly and definitely a sign of poor maintenance, 4. Very poor quality breakfast given, and too small sitting to accomodate all the guest in the hotel, given the time we were there was a "super-peak season." 5. Hotel staff at the car-park was outright rude in his tone in asking me to shift my car eventhough it was a designated parking-lot for hotel-guest. During my time of booking (one-week in advanced), no hotel was available for booking in this vicinity due to a super-peak (17-06 to 19-06) season. When I was booking the hotel via on-line, I read a review that says someone actually found bed-bugs and had taken a picture of bed-bugs in one of the guest room and post it in their review, but because I needed badly to be in Melaka for a family occasion and since it's been long-overdue, I decided to put up with Grand Continental eventhough the review was negative.

Nothing! Even the small swimming pool was too dirty to look at, and nothing pleasant I can say about this old hotel. The thing is, my friends did warn me, but I told them I'm only going to be staying 2- overnights, so I can sleep with that, and since my family don't really use any hotel facilities.

Only if you are on budget.

Really need to upkeep room bathroom.

We will able to park the car onsite. The beds were comfortable.

The room was smelly and the bathroom was grotty. We weren't able to adjust the aircon so we froze until 2 trips to the front desk convinced them to not have it cranked so high!

- air-cond cannot be controlled individually in the room, tv channel not selective and the signal is low and poor, interior arrangement little bit not interesting and equipment not much, hard to me to find halal&malay foodstall...

i like that it has 2 queen size bed in it as i have small children accompanying me

i wish that the air condition is not centralized and can be controlled separately for each room

This hotel could use a major renovation. The hotel is also infested with insects a bs roaches. We complained about it and changed rooms an floors but not luck at getting a clean room. For the few hours we spent there we put up with it.

The location is within the city.

Facilities/amenities provided is poor or below average as we coukd find small cockroaches in the room as well as the poor air-conditioning. Food quality and presentation is 'below average'.

The worst 3star hotel I have ever stayed. Lousy service...my room don't even have hot water, both me and daughter suffered flu and fever because we took cold water bath. We can't enjoy the rest of our holiday because of this..... I called the room service three times to get my extra towels and pillow. I do understand it's was high peak season...assume they are very busy but I am sure it's part of their work and the management should train them well on handle this kind of situation well.

Nothing, as it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed.

Almost everything. The room is horrible,dirty and too old and damaged furnitures, bathroom sinks, horrible beds. The hotel lobby itself looks so horrible and too gloomy. The food is also too lousy. Hotel staffs doesn't know how to speak proper english.

Parking for guest not enought space. We need to park near the hotel and pay the parking. Hope next time hotel cant provide more parkingspace for guest.
