Four Points by Sheraton Kuching is excellently located as they are only one mile from Kuching International Airport, a 15 minute drive south of Kuching's city center, and 5 minutes from a shopping...

the location is very convenient and overall the hotel is clean and comfy
the gym - the lady at the gym reception did not speak English and none of the treadmills was working. The whole gym looked a bit out-dated and in need of a few repairs
The sambal nasi lemak is awesome. The chefs/waiters at the cafe is helpful. The reception is very swift and accomodating. Thank you so very much, Atikah. The hotel is spotless and the room is spacious. Really worth it. The staff at the executive lounge is courteous and attended to my needs beautifully. She is very knowledgeable and is of great assistance. Thank you.
On our way to our room after breakfast, my family and I saw the house-keeper doing her chores. Since the toilettries in my children's and my room have finished and since we already met the housekeeper near our room, I asked my eldest daughter to request from the house-keeper for an additional toilettries (instead of dialling "0", as usual). The housekeeper shrugged my daughter's request and said that she do not want to give because she is afraid that she will be scolded by the management if she give the toilettries to the guests. I then dialed "0" and the staff attended to my request diligently. I felt that it is awkward that the housekeeper did not comply to our request despite the hotel's policy that we can ask for additional toilettries. Perhaps also to get the housekeepers to be friendlier by greeting guests when they meet them. Usually it was the staff who greets guest when our path collide but it seems that the housekeepers are too busy that they forget even to smile when we passed by. Please also practice more on half boiled eggs. My husband asked for 2 half-boiled eggs for breakfast and he received 2 hard-boiled eggs instead. This happenned twice in one day (though we did get them to prepare a fresh one). I just thought that should not happen in a hotel with Hilton's standard.
View from my room
My room 514 bathroom. Floor always have water stay. Feel not comfortable during enter. Sometimes have to step on water. Need to fabricate the drain scupper position.
Friendliness of staffs Location
Lovely view of Sarawak river from my room and also the location near Waterfront.
There is no free Wifi access from room. The toilet need to refurbish and upgrade... have problem with the pipe and the water not hot enough.
Food 1st Class
Lovely view of the Sarawak River, room was nice and the buffet at the executive lounge was delish!
Bathroom shower could do with a bit of fixing or upgrading
The smell of bathroom
Great view of the river
The beds are excellent and the reception staff is also excellent.
The fitness center is the worst I have ever seen. The running machines where not working and very old. For al 5 star hotel not acceptable. The fitness room is also to small for a big hotel.
I arrive late at night and the front desk couldn't find my booking.com reservation and had to wait for quite a while as they were checking on their reservation system .. Took almost 45min and they still couldn't find my reservation but they finally found a room for me
The location is ideal being less than 30 minutes from the Airport and within walking distance to see the Old Kuching. It is also a short drive from the seaside resorts. Hilton provides all that you need for communication back home, although internet speed is very slow. Room service is really cheap and the staffs are all very friendly and accommodating. It also has the best view in town overlooking the river, the landscape being reasonably flat allows for a beautiful distant view. Getting a taxi is not a problem as there are usually one or two waiting right in front of the hotel.
The deco is getting very tired and dirty. We found urine marks on the toilet floor when we arrived. The tiles and stones in the bathroom and toilet had a lot a chips and cracks. It didn't help that the place wasn't cleaned very well. Somehow there were cigarette smell coming from the toilet exhaust fans too.
Breakfast always the same menu day by day...hopefully that hilton will provide more variety of food...
I hope that others did not encounter the similar shocking experience that I had encounter in Hilton Kuching. There is an afternoon around 2-3pm when I was sleeping with my partner. There is someone that seems to be the cleaner who had suddenly open our Hotel room and we do not know her intension. It was really shocking till I had to shout at the cleaner why she comes in? Basically, we did not order anything nor requested for room service but this woman just came in a sudden. It is very disappointed that this had happen while our stay in Hilton Kuching.
Loved the stay to bits....
Room size, a bit small
The view from our room. Breakfast was great.
I booked for 3 people we booked a room that has a max of 3 people. But when we got to the room it only had 2 beds. They had to squeeze a third bed into the tiny room. Not happy!!! Plus the shower water would not get past warm. Staff not friendly or helpful. We wanted to buy some things from the little shop in the hotel. It said it opened at 7am. But we were still waiting at 7.30am and had to leave. The staff member in the restaurant said....I not sure when they open!!!
Pool and gym
very easy comfortable stay with excellent river views from cafe and restaurant. Superb buffet breakfasts.
wifi a bit unreliable
Overall the hotel was great, friendly staff, great food, service within minutes, near shopping malls and souvenir shops
1.) Two very polite and pleasant staffs, the first when we first arrived and the second when when we were outside the lobby entrance later...both female staff 2.) Room 626 has a pleasant view of Sarawak Riverside 3.) The food was very much to our liking. 4.) Near Top Spot and Riverside and other interesting places across the river.
1.) At the room rate we paid we didn't get our money's worth 2.) No complimentary breakfast 3.) Toilet bowl was dirty at room 626, stained. Should go and see for yourself 4.) Furnishings look dated 5.) At the rate we were paying we expect at least a free wifi 6.) When we checked out, we had our hands full with luggage and boxes ... many of the hotel staffs passed and saw us without blinking an eye and an offer to carry our many luggages.
The value added that the guest have received. I.e an upgrade to suite.
