Holiday Inn Melaka  

THE service, friendly perplex, good locaties, shuttlebus service to centre of Melaka and excellent breakfast.

The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants at Taman Melaka Raya (recommended: Amy Nyonya Heritage Cuisine along Jalan Melaka Raya 24), walking (about 5 minutes) distance to shopping malls of Makhota Parade, Hatton Square, Dataran Pahlawan, and a few more in this vicinity. Also close to some historic sights such as the remains of a Portuguese Fort, and a replica of the Palace of the Malacca Sultanate. The hotel facilities were of a high standard and well maintained. The breakfast which came with our package was very good, so much so our group of friends stayed at the restaurant until check-out time!

There should be more write ups on local events. When we were there, there was a celebration of Wesak along the nearby roads which made travel quite difficult. Also, there wasca lack of publicity on the numerous sights to visit around and near Melaka.

The hotel is the best hotel as for comfort,space,view,good variety at buffet breakfast and staff very polite and ready to help.My wife and me really had avery good stay during our short stay on the Labour Day weekend. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to Jonker waik and back to the hotel,Hotel is very clean and rooms are big and nice.Will sure book this hotel again when going to melaka.Best hotel!Book this hotel if anyone of you is going to melaka for a holiday.

The staff were very good. The breakfast excellent and the location was really convenient.

The room did not come with a bath tub. Apparently one needs to make a request. But for the price we pay, one assumes that right?

I like the location at Holiday Inn as it is near to shopping areas and most of the nice foods is also nearby. Sirocco bar at the hotel was also a nice place to relax and good service by the staffs at the bar. The lady singer sings very nice English song and she had sing a Chinese song for us.

Will book the straits view next time as it is too noisy for me - as the rooms facing city and near to the main road.

the hotel was great in a great location and the service was first class everyone went out of their way to help, the swimming pool looked over the straits of Melaka

Excellent staff and facilities. Personal greetings at all levels and good at remembering individual preferences. Great room size and bed size (twin room is virtually 2 double beds).Excellent breakfast well worth the money. As a former user of Melaka hotels for many many years this experience was one of the best, the friendliness and good training of the staff making the difference.

The access to the hotel is difficult as pedestrians, due to the busy dual carriageway close by. This may improve as the developing area is finally finished.

The matress was too hard and uncomfortable

Facilities are well maintained. Ample parking spaces. Good location.

The Hotel is just nice for holiday trip.

Overall,the hotel met my expectations as a city hotel.staff are friendly,a new hotel and location are excellent.

Noise level very poor.You can hear next door talking and is quite clear.
