The Hotel was situated in the centre close to all facilities as internet, information, restaurants, waterfront. The hotel has a great restaurant with friendly and dedicated staff! We picked the same hotel when we came back in KK after our trip in Saba. The rooms decoration was old in style and in furniture. And also a bit noisy. Thin walls made me hear the neighbours and their TV. The hotel staff was at times really unproffessional: forgot to call the taxi while we where waiting just in front of them, wanted a full prepayment for an extra booking we made for a week later in our return to KK, called the taxi drive on our way to the airport because the gave us the wrong creditcard bill and asked if we could give it to the driver. In general, when you are feeling hold back to go up to the front desk something is not right. I would say, if you have more money to spent take the Hyatt and otherwise it's an ok midrange with a great restaurant. |

The hotel was located centrally in Kota Kinabalu within easy reach of shops, restaurants etc. We liked the colonial style of the hotel and the service was very good. |

The staff of the hotel were lovely, I liked the old fashioned uniforms and everyone was very helpful. The location was great for getting to the jetty to go to the Island and for going into town to shop; it was possible to walk everywhere. Given that there was no pool and no real 'facilities' or even a fridge in the room it seems to be over-priced. |

All your staffs within your hotel are very deligent, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Keep it up. All rooms should be fitted with a small fridge rather than upon request. |

The staff was very helpful, internet access if free and so is the breakfast. Good location if walking to Jesselton Point and local malls/markets. If available, get the Deluxe room for 20myr extra, it's worth every penny. Breakfast isn't buffet, you get to chose six different pre set menues. Superior room is quite small. Hotel is close to the Kota Kinabalu bypass, and rooms not facing Gaya Street might be noisy. |

The location of the hotel made it easy for us to do shopping at Wisma Merdeka City Parade, Centrepoint, KK Plaza and etc. All shops were within walking distance from the hotel so we save on taxi fare. There were only four of us and we waited for the breakfast for quite sometime to be served. Choice of breakfast was limited which were the American and Continental. We only had breakfast on the first day and subsequent days we skipped. |

A great hotel in KK. It's small but has excellent staff and very comfortable rooms. A good base from which to explore KK, the islands and Kota Kinabalu. |

The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite, the rooms were of a very good standard, spacious and very clean. The hotel was well located for the town centre and also trips out to other areas in KK. |

The hotel was very clean and the staff very warm. The bed was very comfortable to sleep and in the room there were a lot of leaflets with information useful for a traveller. The choice of breakfast included in the price was limited with no big variety and the portions were not very big. |

Good location for shopping (right above Sunday market), close to boats for island trips, nice interior design, friendly staff service not really 4 star, staff not very knowledgeable about points of interests nearby, no refrigerator in room |

It is in a central location and ease of walking distance to shops and markets. I was charged with a parkign summons after parking opposite the hotel overnight in a street car park. I was not aware of any violation or other, but on Sundays the markets were set up on the street and i think it must have been no parking on Sundays. The mattress is very hard with also leaning to one side. |

The staff are friendly-ish. Faded grandeur without the grandeur. If you arrive in the tiny lobby and would like anything after 10.00pm, (even a coke and some ice!) there is a 7-Eleven a couple of blocks away. The hotal restaurant and bar is closed. Rooms are large and the bed comfortable but the dark brown decor is dated and depressing. Towels rock hard and bed sheets had holes in. Not, not Value for money. |

The Jesselton is quite charming. The staff was helpful, and the restaurant was good. The room was very clean and comfortable. The price was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay at the Jesselton Hotel again on our next visit to Kota Kinabalu. |
