The owner is so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed his hospitality very much. The hotel is near to Langkawi Airport (Drive MYR 18 through Cab) and in front of beach. You may hire motorbikes as well very near to hotel.Restaurant is also near to it. Overall , We have enjoyed our stay here.

Some alcohol problems at night. Few guys got hollered after drinking & disturbed sleep.

The hosts is very friendly especially Adam, he even managed to get us to join the island hopping activity with a very reasonable price and become like a close friend to us. The place is very cosy..very private eventhough it is nearby to a police station, mosque and other villagers house.

    No. I like this place.

The hosts there Charlotte, Sam and Adam were fantastic and really made the stay memorable. It was a little out of the way, but from the get go everyone was lovely. You can't swim directly outside of the hotel as they haven't dregged the mangroves which is great for the environment. Charlotte gave us directions to a near by beach that we could have a swim at. They helped orginise us a car to travel around the Island the next day. Even helped us get to the markets. The place is little run down and they are doing it up. However they are the nicest people and you really feel at home there. If you are wanting a place that is away from the hustle bustle this is the place. Great if you have been traveling for a while and just need to chill out for a few days or more. I would defiantly head back here, and hope to one day.

1.Peaceful because in a fishing village away from most tourist sites. 2. Local restuarant is cheap. 3. Local breakfast, nasi lemak is only rm1.00 from roadside stall 4. Sam and Adam are friendly

    1. Noisy because next to motorcycle mechanic shop. 2. Prayers from loudspeakers because near to mosque 3. Room 7 has a noisy ceiling fan. 4. Dust dropping from ceiling if someone cleaning the upstairs room.

Nice bar sitting area.Adam the staff was very helpfull & fun. Good & clean Roti place across the hi way.

No sink in bathroom. Owner/manager mostly not available. The beaches are only accessible by vehicle,to walk to the water from the guesthouse is thru mud & garbage. No real restaurants in this village.

Great Hosts Great location (next to the water, you do need a motorbike to get to the actual beaches) Great drinks (very affordable) Great restaurants nearby

Don't chose this homestay if you want to be very close to the beach or intend to go to bars at night, it is quite far away from both beaches and bars.

Warm welcome from friendly owners, nicely appointed property on a quiet back road and overlooking the beach/sea. Very good value room.

New owners are obviously working hard to transform the guesthouse, current condition of rooms is reflected in the price - although beds and linen were well presented and clean, bathroom and bedroom is quite run down and the bistro was not open. I'm sure it will quickly become a very good place to stay (at which point the price may understandably increase)!

Potae is a very nice host, she was very helpful to organize our trip around Chiang Mai. The guesthouse is not too big and very friendly. Kitchen is nice to cook is you like !

The mattress on the floor, and the sheet with hair (not ours!) on.

More than laid-back, this place is horizontal! Very easy-going and pleasant staff. In a quiet little area by the sea. You'll need wheels (nearby bike, bicycle & car hire) to reach beaches and anything else on the island. But a good base from which to explore. Surprisingly, there are three very good local restaurants within an easy walk of Seaview GH.

So long as you are happy with the laid-back ambience and out-of-the-main drag location, there is nothing to dislike.

the bed was OK... the host tried to help...

The whole place is decrepit and falling apart. Literally, not metaphorically. It crumbles!! Holes in the roof and potholes in the ground. The location could be nice (close to the beach) but is actually a disaster (a swamp separe the hostel from the beach). Facilities around are missing. Feels like a village in no men's land. THe owners are friendly but sort of lost in their own world. Stay clear.

Sam was amazing. One of the finest hosts you could ever ask for. We sipped a couple of gins with him and then he went out of his way to take us to a great place to eat. The location of the guesthouse is good. In the middle of everything and there is a place you can rent scooters and cars nearby.

Not too close to the nightlife if that is what you are looking for

Sam, the owner is a great guy. This guesthouse is very well located, apart from Cenang which is the main place to go out. The view is lovely and we had great time at the bar of the house. I would definitely go there again.

The wall are thin, so you have to deal with your neighbours' noise, but it is still okay.

Sam who runs the hotel is really lovely and helpful. He couldn't have been a better host. Location for what we needed was a little out the way. But its a sweet area and there are some little sweet places if you go wondering…

    The host is very friendly

The hostel is too far from the main tourist point and too close to the village where there is noise from the morning before sunrise.

We stayed 4 nights at Seaview guesthouse when we visited Langkawi. From the first moment Sam and Charlotta made us feel welcome and "at home". Our room was spacious and the beds were excellent!! The sheets and covers were crisp and fresh from the laundry, and the beds were wide and really comfortable. There are local restaurants nearby and a laundry/car rental so we got our clothes washed and rented a car so we could get around the island as the guesthouse is located at a distance from most things - one morning we walked to the airport to find an ATM so the airport is not too far. We really liked to stay at Seaview, it has it's own charisma and relaxed atmosphere thanks to Sam and Charlotta. We recommend it, if you wish to rewind and don't feel like staying in a tourist-area like Chenang (we went there one afternoon and did not stay long - we hurried back to Seaview!)

Nothing!! We were really happy to stay there!
