The view from the restaurant was amazing with fantastic nature, the lake and the djungle around. We had a double bungalow for 4 persons and it was very big, clean and a very nice bathroom. A lot of place for the clothes. The swimming pool area was beautiful. Very relaxing stay and nice, helpfull stuff.
Rooms tired looking. In need of refurbishment
The chalet was lovely - spacious, nicely set up and with a balcony over the lake - and the buggy transport system for getting around was prompt and efficient. The pool is surrounded with gorgeous views and is nicely designed. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good - pretty quick, tasty and reasonably priced, though our friends weren't happy there was no beer on the menu. There are a lot of outings available (at extra cost) and I loved the reading area in the lower lobby with the beautiful view over the lake. We saw a hornbill, a wild boar and its baby and a giant squirrel (?)
I was disappointed that the buggy drivers didn't know about the wildlife! I spotted a huge black squirrel which my driver had no clue about. Would be good to train the staff in the surrounding nature. I get that the price is to do with the location, but for over RM500 a night for 3 of us you don't expect broken tiles in the swimming pool.
Location, chalets design and arrangement.
Lack of internet in chalets, poor breakfast.
Very nice sourounding, lake is amazing, good Villas, would be luxery, wenn not so dirty and run down.
Everything is a Little bit damaged and dirty. some seilings in main Lobby are dangerous. Water in toilet was running all night and very noisy. No room Service came. Very rare Programm for excursions and far from jetty. Food is rather poor and we got sick from.
Location is peaceful and serene. Staff are competent, friendly, helpful. Food choices are limited.
Facilities are poorly maintained. Activities are lacking, and fall short of expectation. E.g., the bulk of the Nature Trip was consist of a long and boring boat ride to the destination and back. A total disappointment.
Location. nature situation.
The transport system inside property was in a very old buggies, and you need to wait to go anywhere. Bouring. The chalets is very old, decadent and nothing is working (tv, lights, electricity, ...). This is an islamic hotel, without good food, drinks and all other thinks, and they do not advise about this fact. You are obliged to follow the religion mandatory. It´s an absurd, ultragious. The swimming pool has a very dangerous situation, with broken stairs, bad woods, ...
Lake view from the room. Helpful and friendly staff. Vegetarian food (breakfast plus meals) with less oil specially made for us. Adequate breakfast.
Poor signage on the roads leading to the resort. No facility within resort to convert foreign to Malaysian currency. No wifi in the room. Pool table is dirty / unusable.
This was my second time there. The staff is fantastic but the facilities need some work. The room was comfortable but the bathroom wasn't the greatest in terms of cleanliness. The tours are great, especially the elephant sanctuary and show(only 5 minutes away now in a new facility.
Ownership has changed since last year. They no longer sell beer or have a lounge. Since the website still lists a lounge, that was disappointing. The nearest beer was over an hour away!!!Clearly, the new owner is trying to make it more Muslim. Not good!
Scenic view, serene surrounding, good for pure relaxation
Location is far from restaurant. Not much activities except need for fee.
The activities, the view, the environment and the service
The cleanliness, the late buggy, there is no wifi service in room and the limit time of buggy.
Nature is really nice there and it's far away from cities.
Rooms/chalets are not maintained. No alcohol service.
Nice environment. Friendly and organised staff. Good breakfast.
Dinner was limited.
Like the nature surrounding. No internet connection at the room is good. Able to relax totally.
The place is a bit run down.
Nice view and privacy
We didn't get side by side chalet even though we booked 2 chalet
The location of all the room .... facing the lake...very nice...
The buggy car is not enough.....
- all the staff very helpful, kindness and nice. - especially to all buggy car drivers.
1.safety -traveling using buggy car is ok but no railing/guardrail at all the way. -No railing also for pedestrian walkway especially for the elder people's. -the villa not in well maintaining conditions, eg; railing at the balcony (lake view site) at the bad condition very dangerous. Please refer room 409. -not sufficient ligthing for pedestrian.
1.The environment is suitable for group activities like team building.
1. No tissue provided 2. Bathroom door problem cannot close..room 409 3. Maintenance of the building need to be maintain.
No shopping area close by
Went for lake kenyir international triathlon. A 2D1N stay. Friendly & helpful staff, good natural environment.
Chalet rate & fee is rather expensive. Have the feeling being ripped off knowing that the triathlon event is an annual affair.
The room is spacious, comfortable stay.
We enjoyed the lake view from the balcony.
The rooms are not maintained properly. The sliding door at the balcony hardly opens. Black molds can be seen all over the bathroom. The basin drain was leaking.
The environment and the accommodation.
The hilly environment. Need to take the staircase to swimming pool and restaurant but it is part of nature.
Their rooms, staff and environment
Breakfast we're not served by buffet because there are not many customers when I went there...
