The location and facilities of the room.

As a 5 star hotel I believe, coffee house is not to the standard and the service is not satisfactory, no seriousness and commitments from the staffs concern, very relax, not bothered. Need to wait to eat, and more over on 15th August 2011, breakfast choice as a 5 star hotel very limited, this 2 star hotel standard, only bread, two choices from the Menu prepared, Can't believe it, not worth the money for food. More excuses on 14th August 2011, waited for order from menu and at last to walk out, person on duty said ready can't serve the food, we told NOT HAPPY WITH SERVICE AT ALL, NO CHOICE YAH 5 STAR HOTEL. SORRY TO SAY.

Good & friendly. I was in Karachi quite sometime ago where the hotel provide low check-in counter and guest sit on chair while check-in. At same time they also provide fruits (apple+oranges+others).

Grand looking, security good, breakfast good spread. But some missing items like slippers, toothpaste and brush set, floor towels etc n

Clean & Privacy.

The rate is expensive but not inclusive breakfast. Hotel in K.K. i.e. Palace Hotel, the rate is RM160+++ but inclusive breakfast.

The food was excellent in both the restaurants and the service in the restaurants very good. Any required room service was quick. I would say that I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much and would recommend the hotel always

I had traveled to Kuching many times but that was my first time stayed in Merdeka Palace and I found it was value for money accommodation with friendly staff, good in-room amenities, clean, not so busy like other business hotel - relaxing and I will come back stay here in next trip.

Near to the Waterfront and other places of interest so we save on transport.

One of your staff came knocking on our room door. When we could not response on time; your staff were trying to open it. Thanks goodness, your staff could not open it as the door was latched from inside (though we did not locked it). It would be very embarrassing if your staff just barged in to our room when we were not properly attired at that time! Hope it will not happen to any of your other guest. Thank you.

The lift service is bad. And also no hot shower. Lighting system is not so good. It short circuit when wake up next morning. Should have a proper maintenance. Inside the room is clean and it is not too bad except for certain things that is not working.

Hotel staff very helpfull

They didiin't include the tax and services charge into the bill and end up I got to pay extra.

Suka kerana biliknya sangat sesuai dan comfortable. Layanan yg diberikan adalah baik. Tampat parking juga memuaskan.

The air condition was too cold esp in the main room, where I cannot adjust the temperature.

We had a wonderful stay, the rooms and facilities were very good. The staffs were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Overall, the hotel is worth for money.

1. Most of the toilet pipes for washing leaks thus, floor is always wet and slippery. 2. Complain on fused bulb took several times till late afternoon then was attended to (on 16/12/2011) 3. No WIFI but only direct connection to WIFI set and for limited hours. WIFI to be given FOC no limit. 4. If one 3 room apartment have got total 6 beds, 2 king size & 4 single beds why breakfast coupon only given 5? It is unfair as we came in a big family and utilized all beds. We have even ordered one extra bed for one night inclusive of 1 breakfast too. 5. No towel mat given on 1st and 2nd day. Only 2 mats were given on the 3rd day. 6. No slippers supplied to each room. 7. No fridge in the apartment.
