The location and proximity to beach is the main selling point of this hotel. Very run down and in need of major modernisation, poor food,overly priced and staff not so friendly. |

The location as well as the quiteness of the place. I believe that the rates were a bit on the higher side. The hotel should make additional arrangments to prevent the entry of mosquitos. |

Absolute beachfront location; lovely landscaped grounds and Malay village- style layout. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to beach-view rooms (possibly because one of our children was ill). Illness meant we were confined to the resort but it had everything we needed, including medical attention in the middle of the night. The children had fun at the Horizon pool, which was fantastic - with a water slide and enough shallow areas for them. We enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast and particularly liked our beach table at the bbq restaurant on our final night. |

The location was great. Good pools and good food. Hotel is right on a great clean beach with easy access to great water sports. Some of the rooms looked a bit dated. Needs a bit of a freshen up but they were all very clean with heaps of space. |

Attention to detail. They made the extra adult in the room feel welcomed by ensuring that there were more than enough towels, toiletries, complimentary water etc. The bell service was also prompt and friendly - one went out of his way to give us a short tour around the resort in the hotel buggy. I thought the service at the buffet breakfast could have been improved in terms of welcoming, seating and serving us. I also felt the security was lacking a little when we saw a group of 3 men doing something ritualistic and suspicious under a tree near the beach, in full view of the other guests, and many hotel staff who were setting up the beach front for the dinner buffet. Any one of the workers could/ should have walked up to them and asked them what they were doing, but no one did. I finally left the scene and reported it to another staff member who was on a bicycle. |

The pools and beaches were the best feature of this resort. The very best part of my stay was having a chalet right on the beach so you practically step of your balcony onto the sand. Yes. We did not have a double bed. We had 2 singles pushed together, made up as singles. The electrics were bad (sockets), and the chalet was not 5 star in decor or facilities yet we were paying 5 star prices. Dining, spas, and washing clothes within the resort was expensive. |

Great location, friendly staff, great swimming pools, great breakfasts. Rooms near beach bar area very very noisy at night due to the pounding music till after 1am!! Busy time of year and staff at breakfast couldn't keep up. |

Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Secure storage box at reception. Good transport links. Hotel BBQ is not very good value. Drinks are extremely expensive and there was even an additional charge for the drinks even I bought them from the bar. |

Service and staff were very attentive and friendly. Fantastic for honeymoons and family trips with beach front properties and very close to watersports and outside restaurants. The television system was not responsive at times. |

Pleasant and helpful staff. Great ambience, beautiful setup. The beach is full of broken shells. Walking on the sandy part of the beach in slippers was not a good experience. Walking on the grass part is OK. Otherwise, everything else about the hotel is excellent. |

location I would not classify this hotel as a 5 star hotel. The menus at the restaurants were ver limited. No American food other than Hamburgers. The walls in the rooms had no insulation, we could not even watch our tv at nights because guests in the other chalets could hear it through the walls. The other side we could hear the baby crying and people talking. TV channels was ver limited, also the TV screen was too small for the room. |

The staff was helpful and attentive. They made an effort to make it one with nature, which is a great thing, however we found the mosquitos to be a bit of a nuissance (until we figured out there was something in the room to repel them) and my wife was not thrilled about the lizards in the room (one or two during a 8 night stay). |

The hotel rooms are in need of a makeover.The hotel was built 20 years ago and the rooms look like they have not been upgraded in that time.The bathrooms are old and stained,the carpet stained and the bed linen and towels are stained.Overall the place looked and felt dirty.This hotel should be rated 3 star rather than its 5 star rating.It was bedlem at breakfast half of the time until they finally opened another breakfast area.This hotel is overpriced for the run down rooms you are given and I looked at least 3 rooms and none were of high standard.The gardens,pools,location and staff are the only things this hotel has going for it.I would only return if the rooms were refurbished. |

It was a very relaxing break and the staff were very helpful, rooms were very comfortable and overall the experience was most enjoyable. I do think the management should be aware that there are bats in the roofs and on the upper floor this is very noticeable. We have experience of this in our own house and if unattended they do leave an unpleasant smell which we noticed in our room. Had we stayed longer we would have asked to be moved. |

The food was such good value and the staff were helpful and welcoming. The resort was right on the beach with a few bars and resturants outside the resort if you wanted a change of scenary. The weather was good tropical it rained heavily then was beautiful and hot in between. We just relaxed and didn't do much but it was perfect. It was close to theairport so you could see and hear the planes taking off but with only a couple a day it didn't make much difference and as the island is small you would probably have this everywhere. |
