Attention to detail. They made the extra adult in the room feel welcomed by ensuring that there were more than enough towels, toiletries, complimentary water etc. The bell service was also prompt and friendly - one went out of his way to give us a short tour around the resort in the hotel buggy. I thought the service at the buffet breakfast could have been improved in terms of welcoming, seating and serving us. I also felt the security was lacking a little when we saw a group of 3 men doing something ritualistic and suspicious under a tree near the beach, in full view of the other guests, and many hotel staff who were setting up the beach front for the dinner buffet. Any one of the workers could/ should have walked up to them and asked them what they were doing, but no one did. I finally left the scene and reported it to another staff member who was on a bicycle. |

Pleasant and helpful staff. Great ambience, beautiful setup. The beach is full of broken shells. Walking on the sandy part of the beach in slippers was not a good experience. Walking on the grass part is OK. Otherwise, everything else about the hotel is excellent. |

location I would not classify this hotel as a 5 star hotel. The menus at the restaurants were ver limited. No American food other than Hamburgers. The walls in the rooms had no insulation, we could not even watch our tv at nights because guests in the other chalets could hear it through the walls. The other side we could hear the baby crying and people talking. TV channels was ver limited, also the TV screen was too small for the room. |

the view was really great i have traveled a lot nothing like this i loved it i lost my wife dimond ring and i called them and they sent it to me in another city that tells you somthing about them i should mention Karen from lost and found i am sure if it was some other place they would have stolen it. |

The staff was helpful and attentive. They made an effort to make it one with nature, which is a great thing, however we found the mosquitos to be a bit of a nuissance (until we figured out there was something in the room to repel them) and my wife was not thrilled about the lizards in the room (one or two during a 8 night stay). |

I really like the location of this hotel with nice member staff they are friendly I hate some insects and bats sometimes they crule into your room ... they should offer free internet service inside the room such as the other hotels offer it for free |

The hotel rooms are in need of a makeover.The hotel was built 20 years ago and the rooms look like they have not been upgraded in that time.The bathrooms are old and stained,the carpet stained and the bed linen and towels are stained.Overall the place looked and felt dirty.This hotel should be rated 3 star rather than its 5 star rating.It was bedlem at breakfast half of the time until they finally opened another breakfast area.This hotel is overpriced for the run down rooms you are given and I looked at least 3 rooms and none were of high standard.The gardens,pools,location and staff are the only things this hotel has going for it.I would only return if the rooms were refurbished. |

It was a very relaxing break and the staff were very helpful, rooms were very comfortable and overall the experience was most enjoyable. I do think the management should be aware that there are bats in the roofs and on the upper floor this is very noticeable. We have experience of this in our own house and if unattended they do leave an unpleasant smell which we noticed in our room. Had we stayed longer we would have asked to be moved. |

The food was such good value and the staff were helpful and welcoming. The resort was right on the beach with a few bars and resturants outside the resort if you wanted a change of scenary. The weather was good tropical it rained heavily then was beautiful and hot in between. We just relaxed and didn't do much but it was perfect. It was close to theairport so you could see and hear the planes taking off but with only a couple a day it didn't make much difference and as the island is small you would probably have this everywhere. |

The beautiful location with surrounding white sand and lovely warm sea, surrounded by nearby islands. Lovely room and buffet breakfast. Friendly staff minibar was not fully stocked or item taken as we did not use it and on check out, hotel tried to charge us for the missing item despite informing reception the day before when we noticed it had gone missing. |

It's a place to just totally relax. Sit/ lay by the pool or by the beach and read a book.. Go to the teratai spa for a good massage... A getaway from the city that is truly enjoyable. That's nothing much to do in the hotel but rest & relax. You will need to find activities outside in order to keep your day full. |

The location is excellent, the beach superb, communication from the airport short. The room was spacious and well equipped, good housekeeping. The hotel is partly run down, the grounds partly poorly kept and need work. Apart from the breakfast which was great, the F&B outlets disappoint in terms of price and performance. The menus were some times quite shabby, with choices blanked out, staff were generally kind and considerate, but there obviously is a considerable management problem with the hotel. The bottom line is that the resort is more 3 star than 5. |

persons who need daily to use internet/check mails shall not use this hotel, use of internet is too expensive our package included discount MYR 50,- per person for spa treatment and we both bought treatment at MYR 350,- /person but did not get any discount, no one told us on which treatments discounts are not available |
