My family and I left our hotel room in a hurry and forgot to lock the door. The room door had to be locked from inside out. While we were driving out for dinner after 15 mins, we called the reception highlighted our predicament and the staff was informed about it and were polite enough to do us this favour. When we got back later we found that the room door was locked and our belongings were intact. I give the staff of this hotel a thumbs up for honesty. At the same time the people at this hotel made us feel at home, with info on where to have a reasonable and decent place to eat. The bathroom needs freshner at all times and the towels has seen better days. |

The warm greeting at the front counter. The staff could tell your room number after the first day. Car parking space could be increased. Hot water usually ran out after a while. |

The hotel is a little bit old but very clean which is a rare quality for Georgetown. It is situated on the edge of the historic centre, very close to foodcourts, bus stops and historical places. Also, they have free wi-fi and 5-6 PCs for the guests in the lobby. The personnel is very helpful and they gave us not only free maps and information about the town but table with all the buses (the closest stop, where they go and for how much time). May be the breakfast could be more varied. But actually people don't mind - most of the tourist come to Penang just for eating experience, so they do it outside anyway. |

Hotel Mingood staff was very helpful - it makes a huge difference! Wi-fi internet connection was also a very positive issue. The breakfast is the issue that I'd advice the management of the hotel to revise. I think it can be improved without that much additional costs. However, I do not think it affects the overall quite positive impression about the hotel. |

Bedsheets were changed daily; soap and toilet paper replaced daily; location was okay, along a quiet road, room was large Infested with ants and cockroaches; room smells musty; a bathroom mat would be a nice touch; breakfast was very limited, just toast with jam/peanut butter, cereal and coffee/tea; corridors were very dimly lit and non-airconditioned |

Value for money hotel, in desperate need of a lick of paint, some new sheets, towels etc but it is on the cheaper side, and it does have air con and lots of windows to open if you don;t want to use that, plus it was clean, had friendly and helpful staff and just on the edge of the main tourist area (World Heritage Site buffer) and within walking distance of heritage areas and main shopping at Prangin Mall. Breakfast was not great, better to go to one of the cafes opposite |

The hotel was well organized and the staff very helpful. The check-in went smoothly and the recommendations were very good. And it was quiet. Also the price and location were right. The furniture and linen was very shabby and the rubber pillows too hard for my taste. |
