you can hear everything from the other rooms poor sound quality.
environment is very nice with classic beauty
you can hear what people are talking in the next room. and while people are walking along the corridor, you can hear it easily.
near a the Georgetown area convenient with foods and etc
there is a leakage in the wash room area and the wash room area compartment are to small
Good location Good place for rest All food and groceries within walking distance Fair
Noisy during others walking or open/close doors on the 1st floor but tolerable. Domitory noisy chatting.
Location Drying rack Terrace Aircon + fan House itself
Bathroom has not be cleaned too often Thin mattresses VERY thin walls, it was impossible to sleep in, because you simply hear every little sound from the corridor/other rooms
Atmosphere is good, staffs are helpful, in the side road location, but quiet and walkable for many directions. Water flow sounds makes you chill.
We chose to stay here for a second time as we had enjoyed our stay previously. Beds and pillows comfy. Aircon and fan Most members of staff were really helpful and friendly, with the exception of the grumpy and rude staff member who worked late afternoons and evenings! Which is a real shame as it made us feel uncomfortable. Bus route and maps available Love the building.
We were 10 ringitt off being able to pay the deposit. Instead of letting us drop our bags in the room and giving us 5 minutes to stop, he insisted on sending us off to a cash machine 20 minute walk (each way) which didnt seem necessary as he had our card details. We could have done without doing this after a long day travelling and arriving in the dark! Breakfast was basic (bread and bananas, which ran out and were no re stocked most days) Wifi didnt work at all in our rooms (worked really well in our previous room). Was ok in the Wifi areas
I would stay in same location but not this hotel.
Ask for a multiplug, reception gave it to me and said dont leave it on the floor. It Floods when it rains. Seriously! what about my luggage on the floor. Floor carpet was torn and peeling - signs of water damage. Shared Toilet was not clean and had guest walking around half naked and using public PC. Had a friend passing over some stuff and she was rudely told-off loudly in the public area in front of all other guest by reception saying they will charge if she enters the room. After midnight there was no staff! Eerie feel. Rooms were all partition using wood and one spark will bring this building down.

-no soap in the bathroom -the speed of speech of the customer service was too speedy
Clean, Central location , heritage feel
The room I get is big and feel comfortable. Sunlight cannot shine into my room makes me feel want sleep more.
The toilet is bit small. And the water from first toilet will flow to second toilet.
Nice traditional house. Close from restaurants and activities.
The room was very small and under furnished.
- Friendly staff - Centrally located in the CBD and good food is just within walking distance -Value for money
- Thin wall between rooms
Very friendly, helpful honest staff. Clean comfortable dormitory.
Clean and big rooms.
It is to expensive for what you get. In the closed by surroundings rates are lower and the accomodation level is almost the same. Very noisy too.
The old building and the antique furniture.
Misleading information on the free parking. The air conditioning is not cold.

The location is good in terms of sightseeing. You can easily walk to all the major sights in Georgetown. The building itself is lovely and traditional. Breakfast was simple (toast, tea/coffee) but tasty enough. The staff were helpful when you had a question for them.
I didn't like the fact that there are no staff around from midnight until early morning. The night before I left the guy behind reception kindly ordered me a taxi to take me to the bus station at 6am. As a lone female traveller, I did not want to walk the 20 minute journey at that time by myself. The area can be unsafe at night. I waited the next morning and no taxi turned up. When I unlocked the door of the guesthouse to go outside there was a drunk man trying to get in. Being on my own I was very scared and I asked him to leave as he wasn't staying at the guesthouse. Basically he was trying to get inside to sleep. As the taxi didn't show up I had to walk anyway...with keys in my hand in case I was attacked. I looked back up the street and someone let the drunk in anyway. If this is what happens during the night/early morning then I'm afraid security measures here are not good. If someone had been on reception I could have had another taxi called and some help in dealing with the drunk man trying to get in. I would suggest the guesthouse reconsiders their position on this, particularly for female guests.
