The atmosphere, decor and places to sit around. The friendly welcome and extra touches like the welcome drink. Lots of advice on how to make best use of our time to get the flavour of Penang.
The pool was closed for maintenance!
room smelled a bit of dump the first night
A nice cosy homely feeling hotel with excellent staff. They were friendly, warm and very helpful. Breakfast provided was simple and simply delicious.
WiFi not so good and lack of parking spaces.
The four poster beds draped in netting, the shutters reminding me of a time gone by....sundowners beside the pool and the wonderful, friendly staff who treated you as if you were visitng family
We had to go!
The pool was a hit, and with the way the place was laid out I could relax whilst keeping an eye on the children. They were also very helpful with the parking if my car and the kids loved their bed down packs of milk and cookies and welcome drinks. They felt very special.
Everything! From the staff to the decor and the food! Everything was excellent! The staff will go above and beyond just to please you. They even organised a beautiful birthday cake for my little one on her birthday! Complete with a birthday song! Daisy was such a splendid host! An unforgettable experience indeed! Our trip to Penang was wonderful becuase of Noordin Mews! Will definitely come again!

Can't think of any
The bathroom. The bed. The hospitality. The ambience.
Other occupants smoking in front of my window.
With the help of Waze, the hotel was not too difficult to locate. We had a very pleasant surprise upon our arrival. The property was very well restored and maintained. We stayed in the upstairs room for four. It had two four-poster bed with mosquito netting, and the room was large & comfortable. The bathroom was large, too. The old and the modern blended well. It was nostalgic - reminded me of grand dad's home at the kampung. The welcome drink & breakfast were awesome. The staff were friendly & knowledgeable. They helped us with our luggage (which was a lot) up the staircase. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the stay even though it was only for 1 night. We hope to come again one day.
On the down side, one light was flickering away due to the old wiring, and towards the end of our stay, water dripped from the air-conditioning unit.
Staff - top notch, welcome and extremely helpful; they made our stay absolutely special, explaining all interesing spots around the island. Beautiful property, with a spcial old-fashioned twist - superb.
Location is a bit off centre, and in a "sort-of" industrial area.
We got a lovely welcome drink on arrival and every night a little treat is put on your pillow. The staff were so friendly and helpful, giving us great advice on where to visit and eat. They will arrange taxi etc for you. The hotel is well situated in Georgetown, close to the bus station too. Its located on a quiet road which is nice. The hotel it's self is really well thought out using the rustic charms of years gone by and mixing it with up to date facilities and stylish tweeks. Its a very comfy hotel where it feels more like home, which is what you want when you are travelling around. We would happily stay here again and really recommend it. The breakfast was great too and unlike many other places we stayed it has options for you to choose from which is brilliant.
Quality of tbe building Atmosphere Location Breakfast
Staff are friendly and helpful Deco of hotel is good
Shower area better to have glass door otherwise whole bathroom is wet after shower. Should provide more parking area outside hotel . Price of hotel is kind of expensive .
If you have the chance to travel in a group of 5 to 6 person, please try to book yourself in the Sultan house 2. The room is really big and there are 2 bathrooms inside the "house". It is really a different experience!
On my first night at Noordin, it was raining very heavily. The water level was at my ankle when stepped out of the hotel. I was staying at level 2 and my room was leaking with rain water from the rooftop and there are also water sipping thru the wall. I hope the hotel can do something about leaking.
Everything! Amazing atmosphere, quality of service, good location..worth every dollar. Pool area was a great place to unwind after a long day of walking in the hot city...luckily open till 10pm. Loved having breafast (Asian and Western avail.) next to the pool, which was served with cut-up fruit, coffee, and fresh fruit juice. The staff were amazing...genuine and kind. They made sure you were happy with everything and were proactive in helping you with your itinerary for calling taxi/restaurants reservations. You won't regret staying here! ^^
The staff were helpful, the room was lovely and atmospheric, very good breakfasts.
the bed was too hard for us.
Very convenient location, about 5 minutes' walk to the central bus station with buses going to many parts of Penang. Near shopping mall and eating places. Hotel is clean, beautiful bathroom, staff are very helpful.
Over-rated. Not great value for money. The swimming pool is small and does not look as inviting as presented in the hotel's brochure. We were told that breakfast (we can choose either western or local) would be served at 8 am. But when we were at the breakfast area at 8 am, we were told that the local breakfast (which we wanted) would only be served at 8.30 am!

The front of house staff are exceptional. They make you feel at home, at ease, generous with their smiles and are well informed on all there is to know about Penang. I would like to give a special shout out to Daisy who was the epitome of great service. She really helped to elevate my whole stay at Noordin Mews to be one that I will not forget. Their attention to the finer details helps add to the experience. Came back in the middle of a scorching afternoon and Daisy went to the rooms of all guests who had just come back with a basket of ice cream. Their evening turn down service is nice and they leave a little local delicacy on your bed with a description of the snacks and who made it. Of course, their location is so strategic for Georgetown visitors being one road away from Komtar and One Avenue Mall. A great starting point for seeing the sights on foot. Overall, I will return to Noordin Mews when I next go there.
An oasis of calm within bustling Penang Tea and biscuits on arrival and if you happen to be by the pool during the afternoon Clean, spacious and characterful rooms Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff Complimentary ice cream/iced lollipops on hot days Excellent breakfast including local options For early checkout we were offered breakfast as early as we needed it and were given food to take with us
The staff was great, they suggested us a typical place for dinner (a family restaurant we could have never found on our own), they even called to reserve a table for us. We could hear an annoying noise in the room, probably due to the air-conditioning system not working properly, so we highlighted this and they came to check immediately; unfortunately they could not move us to another room as the place was fully booked, but they gave us a discount on the room price due to this problem. We needed a taxi to go to the airport, the staff organized everything for us and the taxi driver was punctual. The building is very nice and breakfast was excellent, overall a very good experience!
Nothing, everything was great. Maybe other hotels are closer to the city attractions, but at the end it was just a 5 min walking.
