The view when you wake up in the morning. magnificient. bird chirping and squirrel in front of the room really make my day.
I'm a bit worry about bugs bitting the kids at night.
Great jungle hut with views over the jungle made out off basic materials, nicely loceted in the jungle, nice staff
A little but further away from the Sepilok Urang Utangs and the Sunbear (but availibility off a shuttle bus, takes only 5 minutes)
Quiet location, jungle views, comfy bed, shuttle to the orang-utan centre
The bungalow we had was ok but it needed a bit of maintenance on locks and shutters
This is an ideal place for those who want to relax from the noise of the city, the internet, smog, shops. A great place to relax with a book in hand, walks , contact with nature. wonderful staff can arrange tour (I recommend camp at Uncle Tan, proboscis monkey). Delicious and fresh food (I recommend the lime juice). Not far from Padanakan Dii is a roundabout, there is a bus stop where you can get a bus for about 4 MYR to the town of Sandakan. The breakfast is good but if you still are not full, you can buy for little money toasts.
Amazing location and incredible view from the cabin across the rainforest. Food okay. Really quiet.
Rooms are absolutely no frills and very hot.
Nearness to Sepilok .
Wooden plywood huts. Dirty towels no toilettries not even toilet paper . Very dirty toilets in the eating area. Food was very limited and basic.even bread jam and fruit they ran out of. Generally very poor.
The view from the room is amazing. Room was clean and comfortable.
A mouse was visiting us every night. Uncomfortable scratching noise all over the night, and a bit scary for my partner.
The location, the views across the jungle from our wonderful & comfortable room, the outdoor bathroom, the sun deck, feeling close to nature (we had a crimson sunbird visit out bathroom!)... A real haven, very nicely thought out and brilliantly designed.
There is no ATM anywhere nearby (the closest is several miles away) which is fine but make sure you bring more cash than you think you need, just in case you're left a little stuck, as we were.
The view from my room was gorgeous. I could lie in bed and look out at the rainforest.
As someone travelling with heavy photography equipment, it was hard work carrying the cameras back and forth from the chalet.
Quiet, simple, beautifully landscaped accomodations on the hill above a deer park. Hot showers, aircon, mosquito nets were the basics we needed. Tours easily arranged.
Balcony railing had a huge gap, which was not safe for our toddler, but we used the front porch bench as a barrier. The early-morning breakfast box was heavy on the mayo.
The outdoor shower was lovely & being able to slide open a huge door that fills one wall to have the forest right there was lovely
Food was just okay .. wifi very slow
Friendly staff Good environment Excellent service provided Full fill customer needs and wants Special arrangement for me to do photo shooting section. ** The honest owner come to this resort to welcome and give a short description about this resort let me feel so warm.
Stunning views and location Cool (basic rooms) Staff
Wifi terrible Food and drink very limited
Brilliant location away from it all. The food was excellent, the beer was cold. Cheap prices. Good travel links via hotel taxi service. Not The Ritz but as a jungle lodge they were perfectly adequate with fan and air con. Would stay again! Close to Sepilok etc
I wouldn't say the staff were unfriendly but very very laid back and you had to ask for everything.
Really nice, basic, clean rooms. Beautiful views! Food was good but you have to pre-order your lunch and dinner..Breakfast is really basic; egg, white bread. They have free shuttle-bus bus to ORC and bicycles for rent :)
Rooms are like you are sleeping in the jungle Peace and quiet Nice communual areas Honest staff - I left my ipad by accident and they returned it to me
Mosquitoes :) but not a lot they can do about that. There were mosquito nets for the bed.
- the place, view and atmosphere is so beautiful - free shuttle to the sanctuary - helpful staff - the environmentally friendly ideas (upcycling) like a wok as a washing sink
- breakfast is quite nothing (two slice of white bread and an omelette) --> but you get more bread if you kindly ask for it.. ;-)
Views from the challets are amazing! Outside shower and the sounds of the jungle, are spectacular. Very clean and white. A really special place to stay.
The food is not the best, small portions and not special at all.
Here you get the authentic jungle feeling but with the comfort that you can get away from the heat and bugs when you want. Rooms are basic but all you need, bathroom is liberating!
Menu isn't varied but excellent value
Good food, accommodation was beautiful and comfortable. Nice sociable area. Great Sun deck.
Close to nature, rustic room with great view (F1), friendly and helpful staff
Very slow WiFi, no choice of breakfast, isolated location
Great rooms Friendly staff Good food choices Romantic location Ultimate sepilok retreat Beautiful place
We had a private room, with outdoor bathroom. You could shower and have a few out at the jungle! Even though it is set 2km from Sepliok, it is worth the trip out just for the experience. There is a free transfer bus to Sepilok at 9.00 and back at 16.00. We had a problem with the hot water one morning, but it was fixed within 10 min of asking.
Due to isolation you have to eat at the lodge, which need to be pre-ordered, but there are a few choices. Due to gaps in the rooms the air conditioning does not have full effect.
Great location. Cool atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended
Bathrooms not the greatest but not all that bad
