The hotel design is amazing, arquitecture is fully integrated in the environement. You really get the sence of a luxury hotel in a remote island. The breakfest was excellent. The restaurant options were not available;the journey to arrive at the island is not easy;

Everything. Stunning location, beautiful environment, great facilities, lovely food, luxurious rooms. Nothing really. Only small comment would be the sea - good for swimming, but a bit murky for snorkling,

We loved everything, from the landscape and location to services and food. Great food at Uncle Lim, we met him personally he's the chef of the chinese restaurant and employee no.001 On the island/resort. The hill villas are superb, looks like houses in the Avatar forrest..:)) You can hear everything from your neighbours, that can be upseting at night if you want to rest..

Quiet, tranquil, and relax. Guest being pampered to the max. Staffs are very kind and attentive to all details of your needs. Deserve to be rated as 5-stars! Prices of food on the high side.

Wonderful scenery! Friendly staff. Enough selections of restaurants. The best spa treatments and rituals. Many activities we can join for free and paid. the distance from KL to the marina which is 3.5 hours. the slow resort shuttle from one point to another in the resort.

This island resort is nicely situated. Restaurant food quality is good. The beach is lovely, but can get crowded. Resort lacks an international 5* feel (as priced and marketed). Room construction quality is poor (room 202 beach villa) with large gaps in doors, poor workmanship in bathrooms and cheap-looking fittings. Cleanlines in rooms is also just ok, with dust and cobwebs behind sink areas.Restraunt service is ok, but not international standard - e.g too eager to clear plates, multiple staff asking same questions ( do you want pepper?), poor wine selection in fine dinning restaurants and mistakes in ordering and accuracy of final bill. The resort marketing is also a bit confusing. Honeymooners beware that this is a family resort and it is not unusual for crying babies to be on the beach next to you or at a table in the restaurants.

During our first stay in Febr. this year we enjoyed the exclusivity of this resort. One of the main reasons for coming back 10 months later. Now this situation has changed dramatically. Mass tourism, (from Mainland China resp. Hong Kong),has taken place in the meantime and was extremely disturbing. We will definitely not going back to that resort. We sincerely that the Tan Sri, who is the chairman of YTL will receive our comment.

The hotel is placed on its own private island, with lush greenery, hills, and amazing views overlooking the adjacent Pangkor Island and other sea views. The rooms are nice and have amazing views. My wife and I did not like many things. The staff try to be polite and hospitable, yet the service provided is very poor, inefficient and inadequate. In the four nights that my wife and I stayed there (2 in Hill Villa and 2 in Sea Villa), we have numerous examples. 1)The beach that can be used for swimming is actually on the other end of the Island from where the rooms are, and the shuttles that take to the beach come once every 20 minutes, so a lot of time is wasted in waiting time. The water of the swimming beach is not great; very unclear and not entirely clean, with the occasional Jelly Fish around. 2)Very weak room service and housekeeping services; it took us 2 hours just to get the menus for the room service. There is no regular room service available; we call individual restaurants and each of them provides their version of what they can and cannot provide. Restaurants close at 10:30pm. In any regular 5-star hotel the room service is a regular service that is available 24 hours. 3)The mini-bar did not contain almost any of the snacks indicated in the min-bar menu. 4)Housekeeping staff don't speak English and are not efficient, so if something is not working in the room (in our case radio and other simple devices) then unlikely they will be able to fix anything. 5)Even some restaurant staff and waiters hardly spoke English. 6)We found a cockroach in our room, in addition to the regular ants and other insects. 7)Food is expensive and insufficient. 8)Numerous flies on the breakfast food, which doesn’t give a great feeling about the hygiene of the food. 9)I received two wrong invoices for things I already paid for or did not consume. 10)Transport inefficient; the boats to and from the hotel either left later or earlier than scheduled times, leading to a loss of my time. 11)Driver from Pangkor Laut to Kuala Lumpur was supposed to take us for a tour in Kuala Lumpur before taking us to the airport.

1)Dimension about everything related to civil life (cars, planes, airports, Traffic People, buildings) gives complete comfort. 2) Hotel staff collaborator 3)Everything scheduled (restaurants, swimming pool, and preparing trips to and from the island ...). 4)Optimization distribution of everything. 1) Difficulty of movement on the island because of the distances. And means of transportation on the island do not serve the cleanliness of the environment on the island 2) Private office location to move from the port of Lumut where the incorrect to the island that most of the taxi heading to the port of Lumut, but the reception in the hotel's location just 5 minutes from the port. 3)Price of spa (full body) exaggerated. 4)No wireless internet + no television in the room (and I appreciate the purpose of that, but not a justification for price paid)

The environment is relaxing and ambience nice. The staff are mostly friendly. The spa environment is great. A few areas of improvements: 1. Staff followup and ownership.. seems like there is no ownership in restaurant reservation, 2. Staff customer servicing training: staff are not well trained to serve the customer first instead of doing other things like cleaning table, filing etc. 3. For the price of the food, I expect much better quality cooking and ingredient. e.g. the oyster cake at Uncle Lim's.. can hardly find the oysters and quite tasteless. Same with Chapman's and Feast Village.

Amazing place with amazing facilities and very friendly staff. Food has been always very good and plenty. PLR might seem expensive when compared to other resorts, but it's worth every penny in our opinion.
