I stay only one night there, but I cannot sleep, the noise from the big street was too loud. And my room smells about smoke. The staff from the hotel were not really friendly at this time. I booked a trip there, I was thinking the girl from the reception booked it at the good travel agency in her catalogue which one I choosed, but I don't know, that she booked my trip at another company which one was really bad!
-warm welcome by the counter staff -and we like the cleaner too! very friendly. :) -good location -the room fits us..just nice.
-the loud music from the nearby bar at the night..disturbing our rest time.. -no lift.. -i think that i can find barbershop still operating at 7.30 pm, but where's the cafe@restaurant? they are closed already..
- Good location, just minutes from a rather basic mall, some basic eateries and the Sandakan Heritage Trail. - Biggest plus is the luggage storage facility: you can check in, then store your luggage here while you do a 2day 3nights tour of the Kinabatangan River and its wildlife. - Tour assistance - Pleasant (though not overly friendly) staff. -Clean rooms and bath.
- Rooms are rather small. - No lift, so if you have heavy luggage, you need to trudge up the stairs with it. - There is restaurant seating but no attached restaurant or included breakfast. - It's probably not the hotel's fault the Sandakan shuts down at 18:00 or 18:30. The surrounds are dead after that. So if you are looking out for food in the vicinity, be ready to eat in some rather basic restaurants closeby. - The sound of loud music from a nearby bar can sometimes be heard in the rooms.
Breakfast was suddenly not included anymore, but after complaining to the manager, it was ok. Toilet was leaking so much it couldn't be flushed.
