Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa  

キナバルクラブのシービュースイートに泊まりましたが、角部屋で見晴らしはとても良く、お部屋も広くてきれ- いで子供達も走り回り、とても良かったです。 キナバルクラブラウンジがとてもよく、朝、おやつ、夜と一日に３回も利用しました。 朝ご飯は、１Fのレストランよりは種類は少ないですが、充分満足で子供用に和食風のものをアラカルトでオー- ダーもできました。夜は５時からワイン、ビール、ウィスキーが飲み放題で、食事もよく最高でした。

チェックイン時に予約していた部屋が掃除中で３０分待ってといわれ、別の狭い部屋に通された。３０分たとう- が連絡がなかったので、小一時間経った後にフロントに確認しに行くと、OKといわれなんの謝罪もなかった。- その分レイトチェックアウトを無料でしてもらえたが、帰りのフライトが変わり、チェックイン時に予約の紙を- 見せた上で、スタッフに確認したにもかかわらず、変更されていなく、ロビーで空港送迎車を待ち続けた。

空港から近い。子供用の水遊び施設が充実している。部屋がそこそこ広い。バスタブとシャワーブースが分かれ- ている。キッズプログラムが比較的夜遅くまで使える。

朝食の内容がいまひとつ。規模の割にはレストランの数が少ない。両方とも日本食が欲しい。市内までに出るの- に毎回タクシーに乗るのが面倒なのでシャトルがあれば良い。

当初予約していた部屋からアップグレードを勧められました。追加料金が発生しましたが部屋のファシリティー- やキナバルクラブが利用でき大変満足しました。 空港から近いロケーションも良いと思います。

朝食が種類も多くて、おいしかった。

地下でツァーを、日本語ガイド付きで申し込んだが、一つはガイドが運転手で、英語のガイドも同席で、全然ダ- メだった。 もう一つは、寒さ対策でしっかり、水着や、バスタオルを用意するように言われた。わざわざ二人の水着を買っ- て、行ったが、着ることはなかった。説明が大げさすぎ。 部屋のシャワールームの水が、排水が悪く、洗面所が水浸しになった。I told japanese sutaff many times. But management was very bad. And the bath was not clean.

the noise from all the renovation work in spite of us having paid extra for a "quiet" room in the Kinabalu Wing, the scaffolding that was erected right in front of our balcony on the last day of our stay, the main restaurant (decor, acoustics and food quality), the miserly one hour duration from 5-6 pm for serving "cocktails" at the Executive Club, the complete lack of any cocktails at the Executive club (only choice was wine, G&T or vodka and orange, NB these are not cocktails!!), the lack of any snacks or cold drinks at the Executive club throughout the day except during the 1 hour cocktail period from 5-6 pm, the poor quality and choice of snacks during the 1 hour "cocktail" period at the Executive Club, etc etc

I liked the in room service. All was done as promised in 20-30 minutes. I liked the pool. I liked Locitane cosmetics in bath. I liked glass bottles with water.

It was very poor choice of kids food (kazakhstan kids). Our native menu differs from Malayasian and Chinese.

swimming pool is good. buffet is not bad too. it is very good choice for the familiy with kids.

Location - 10 to 15 minutes to town and same to airport. Service staff fantastic - warm, cheerful, helpful. Loved their special way of greeting, with right hand over heart - everyone right down to room attendants, porters, do this whenever they see you around the premises. Guest services officer named Rujiling is the best ever - always ready with a smile to see to your every request and does her best to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. View of the South China Sea from our Kinabalu suite room was lovely - at night the sound of the rolling waves was almost hypnotic. Really wanted to sleep on the balcony on the reclining chairs available.

The quality of food has to be improved especially the dinner buffets at the Cafe Tatu. Cant comment on the other restaurants as we did not dine there. The range of dishes was extensive and impressive but many lacked flavour and even authenticity. For instance, the butter chicken is not meant to be that sweet and the steamed fish should be flavourful enough without having to add soya sauce. The a la carte dishes were much better as was the breakfast buffet. Appears that the standard of food is not consistent among all the Shangrila resorts - we have stayed at the one in Penang, Batu Ferringhi and the quality there is superior.

Completely luxurious. Everything from the rooms, the outside pools & beaches & the fantastic breakfast. This is by far the best hotel we stayed in on our trip, slightly pricey but well worth it. We thought the choice of breakfast was out of this world as were the bars, especially the sunset bar which was the most relaxing place ever!!! Great location if you want to venture out as only a short taxi ride to the waterfront where there is an array of bars & restaurants. We didn't use the spa - however this also looked amazing. Great hotel & I would really recmomend it for both couples and families.

The Concierge staff, Amiz (?) was the best I've ever met! He was knowledable, helpful and even found my laptop which I left behind...he made my stay at the hotel perfect.
