If you're traveling as a large group for example a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) you can easily fit into a standard room comfortably. The beds are big you can fit 4 people on 1 bed and this have a bit of space to spare. For breakfast you will find Local and Western style food such as noodles, fried rice, eggs cooked to order and hotdogs. The immediate are surrounding the hotel is a very quiet residential area. There are a few restaurants serving cheap food and a 7-Eleven store on the main road. Next to that is a Penang Times Square Shopping Mall. About a 10 minute walk to the main road you can see Komtar & Bus Interchange. Those are great places to and you should especially pay a visit to the food courts for some delicious cheap Penang food. Though I always recommend getting around Penang on the very efficent buses. My advice is never get into a taxi waiting outside a hotel. They will waste your time by trying to convince you to go shopping where they earn a commission.

Great location.Walking distance to Komtar shopping area and lots of food places around. New Lane comes alive every night from 6-10.30 pm with great food stalls. Hotel was average- room was a bit musty and bathroom could do with a renovation. Breakfast was also average, although the egg station was good. We are satisfied overall with the hotel.

Free Internet During my stay (booked 2 nights stayed only 1) the hotel was conducting major renovations. The room I was placed in was one of the unrenovated rooms which was more like "flashback to the 80's" style as apposed to the very contemporary style as shown on the pictures whilst booking. I am sure the new rooms will look very nice but In my opinion the hotel should have closed or offered substantial discount during renovations due to the noise and inconvenience.

well is just around d city within shopping complexs n variety of foods at walking distances thats is 4 d moments insufficent of car parks n hows abt d sauna room at level 3 pool side being left out n d buffet breakfast is not marvellous in terms of choice n taste pls look into it n upgrade it

Good location especially for hawker food lover. All food hawker centers are just within a walking distance. The bathroom of our room has no ventilation. Once you enter the room, there was a bad smell remains until and after the aircon was switched on for at least 10 minutes. Dirt was remained in the gaps between wall ties. And water was stagnant on the floor and did not flow to the outlet which supposed to be. The restaurant which breakfast was severed was packed. You do not have much choices on the food but still reasonable. What irritated me was the toaster was not working at all. Tables were arranged in a way that customers can hardly pass through.

Good access to food street outside hotel and walking distance to to Komtar My 2nd stay with Sunway Hotel, during my 1st stay in 2009, I enjoyed my stay with fast check-in, friendly staff. After 2 year, the furniture is old, nosiy air-con, waited 4 hours for check-in to room. There are crack lines in bathtub and dirty non-slip mat. No internet access point in room.
