The restoration & maintenance of these heritage houses needs someone with strong lasting passion to do so. I am truly appreciative to the Resort owner, Mr. Alex Lim for bringing the historical glory moments to us. To me, it is the story behind of these houses and the craftmanship which make this an attractive place. It is also a surprise to see such historical place next to a beach. The landscaping, the simple yet beautiful food display when food is served, the details provided in the house for guest convenience are well planned. The ever smiling and friendly staff make you feel so welcome. They are not fluent in English but you could feel that they are ever ready to serve you.
Malaysia
Inspired by a 17th century Terengganu Palace, this heritage property features classic Malaysian-style villas that are each a century old. It features scenic views of the South China Sea and Setiu Wetlands. Constructed without nails, these villas are a fine example of traditional Trengganu architecture. Featuring sea, pool or garden views, they come with a wooden bathtub, private veranda and rainforest shower. Terrapuri Heritage Village, Penarik is a 5-minute drive from a turtle sanctuary and a fishing village. It is about an hour’s drive from Lake Kenyir and a 20-minute boat ride from Bidung Island. Sunny afternoons can be spent by the outdoor pool or with a relaxing in-villa massage. Other leisure options include a library and fishing and diving trips arranged by the tour desk. The property provides a light breakfast that can be served in guest villas.
