Overcharging on food and drink. 3 times the difference in price between the bar and the on sight shop.
I had a tiny birthday celebration n 3rd wedding anniversary in my room after discussed with a guest service staff.everything went smoothly and food n rose petals were already placed in our room to surprise my husband.
The service in the room was outstanding. The premises were clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There was no business centre.
Great Shuttle and Generaly Super Service
the hotel location near to town. Staff efficiency and service is good
The resort was undergoing some minor construction maintainence while we were staying but it hardly affected us. The staff was friendly and attentive and the facilities were just amazing.
Service was good Love the spa for their service and products that they had to offer. Pizza and other food at Ferdinand's was lovely. Decor for Muffinz is pretty cool,my son love the crepes there. Good and easy accessibility to the kids club and pool.
The receptionist said she could not find our booking and immediately told us that the rooms were all full. Our rooms was not vaccum on a daily basis. Ashtray was not provided even on the balcony, we had to buy one.
Everything. Super service. Great hotel. One of the very best hotels I've stayed in. I'll certainly be going back. And great vfm.
The beach at the Magellan is tiny. But the pool is wonderful. And the sister hotel, the Pacific, has a larger beach.
The BED! Breakfast - good spread and very nice staff
Position of resort is beautiful and being able to use all the facilities of the Sutera Harbour resort property such as the marina and golf course is a plus. Staff very helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for you.Hourly shuttle into town was very useful.
Bed in Magellan club room was very hard and caused a few bad nights sleep until we asked to be moved to a smaller room with a balcony and a more comfortable bed. Walkways to rooms facing the sea front need cafe blinds to be used when heavy rain comes as it did on our holiday. it became a hazard to walk back to our room. Food in restaurants are more focussed on Asian cuisine than Western tastes.
the room was nice
the location far from city due to trafic jam
swimming pools, Al Fresco restaurants, the lobby, access to country club, the location, the sunsets, the friendly staff, live music at some of the restaurants, lots of activities if you feel like doing them.
buffet breakfast could be better, place is getting a little bit dated.
friendly staff, delicious food in various restaurants
works were going on at swimming pool and we were not notified in advance
The staff were very helpful. Ferdinand's is a great restaurant and for a 5 star restaurant, a good value - we went twice.
The prices were very high for everything not included with the room (which is already expensive for that area). Bar prices are 300% those of places in town. Taxi from the hotel has flat rates that are triple other rates too. Most guests seem to realize this and few people order food or beverage near the pool for example.
The location is very near to airport . Water sports and facilities and view .
All the staff here are lazy ! Even the manager are being SLOWWWWW . Try calling them will end up 20 min no pick up !! I wonder how many sales they have lost ! The swimming pool are highly chlorinated , causes dry skins for many and fungal infections .
everything especially the extra that came with a club room.
did not like the town too much
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus into the city was a proper coach and only cost 3 ringgit in and the return journey was free. The concierges provided information on tours and assisted with everything asked. A late checkout of 4pm was given to coincide with our flight to KL. We were even upgraded to a harbour view. The Alfresco restaurant provided a great range of meals from wood oven pizza to fillet of salmon etc. The happy hour covered wine, beer and a range of cocktails. We were able to use the Magellan Club and the Pacific Sutera Harbour restaurants, gym etc. There was an internal shuttle every 15 minutes to these. The room was very clean and the bed was turned down with chocolates provided every night.
It would be great if cappuccino's etc. were made by staff for breakfast as the coffee machine coffee was not up to the standard of the rest of the breakfast.
- Good breakfast. - Huge comfy bed.
- Golf course: 9 holes of the 27 were closed due to maintenance, conditioning of the course was below par for the cost. A better course is Sabah Golf & Country Club. - Promotions advertised on posters around the hotel were not known to staff, or, out of date and had expired. - Shuttle bus to town was chargeable and should have been free for this type of (expensive) hotel.
To us, the highlight of our stay is the experience of the Italian restaurant in the hotel, even though the food could be better, but the service of the stuff made up for it. We had a great night. Be breakfast in the club restaurant is great!
Grey towel? I'm not a fan of dark colored towels. Compare to the club, the taste of the breakfast in the five sail restaurant is not that good.
The front desk staff are nice, friendly and helpful, especially a lady named Lena Rosie George. She is the staff who shows how much she cares about her hotel guests. The room is clean and comfortable, and there are different restaurants and swimming pools you can choose from. It's an ideal resort for different ages of people.
The restaurant named Al Fresico is not so good. We ordered appetizer, salad, main dishes and others, but all of the food came together. We had warm pasta and cold mixed kebabs which is unbelievable. We asked for napkins, a lady said it was run out. Can you believe that?
excellent service and everything would like to come here again
Staff were very friendly and good choice of facilities. The beds were very comfy and had a great view out to sea.
The resort was a little too big to have a wow factor and the rooms were getting a little dated.
the staff were wonderful and the beds and linnen very comfortable and clean
breakfast wide choice but didnt like the fact waiters left dirty cutlery on table instead of clearing them away with crockery and replacing them with clean cutlery. the edges of the table (wooden edge) were grubby not a very good choice of table for a buzy area.
Amazing Breakfast @ Five Sails. Central location. Helpfull staff.
Shuttle service not that good. Would have been better if we had received airport transfers.
