The rooms were cosy. The bathroom was nice with its bath tub and rain shower. Service was good. It is good for couples with no children. The pool was very small and unimpressive. No facilites for children. The location was very bad, in between a hospital and dilapidated slum like shop lots. View from the room is much to be desired. It is a no no place for families with children

This being the nicest hotel in town one which takes pride in showcasing the local heritage and colors, one would think that the restaurant would do the same for its culinary skills. We ordered the famed Malaccan Nonya food and was served dishes of reheated food easily the worst I have eaten. Any restuarant in town next to an open sewer would have better food. Excellent service though despite the bad food.

Friendly staff. The manager Mr Ben Quah made us feel welcomed. Nice rooms with nicely preserved colonial architecture

Rooms are beautifully appointed and the bathrooms are divine. The whole hotel is absolutely stunning and very welcoming, we felt immediately relaxed as we entered the lobby. The spa is fantastic and reasonably priced too. You must try the afternoon tea in the lobby, it is delicious. Pool and gym a little small and not much direct sunlight. Free car parking for guests. Don't spend more than one night in Malacca, it's a bit run down and there isn't a lot to do. We spent most of the time in the hotel as we found the town didn't offer much. You must try Popiah and Nancy's if you go.

Love the bathtub and 4 poster bed. The location is fair, its approximately 15-20 mins walk from Jonker street. Room is clean, staff is friendly and helpful with directions. Overall a recommended stay! The rooms are not very sound proof. On first day, we can hear kids from an adjacent room running around and on day 2, we were awaken up by next door filling the bathtub (or at least thats what it sounds like). The sound of water running was really loud and it went on for a while. I love the bathtub in our room, but the draining of it is also very loud.

The rooms and the reception area were very nice. So was the spa. Great attention to detail in these areas. The hotel could be a little more child friendly, have room service and overall a wider food menu

All staff were excellent. Perception points very well-taken care of. Nice touch with the welcome tea and especially the free local traditional nuts and marie-sugar-icing biscuits from days of yore. Very attentive staff overall. Staff in Spa were also superb. Duty managers were all excellent and went the extra mile. Manager Mr Ong Hend Ley even walked my family all the way to a recommended restaurant about 150 metres away from the hotel. Brilliant lunch afterwards. New staff frontline frontdesk Mr Vinuod didnt take the trouble to explain to me about my check in even though I took out my reservation printout, Passport and Credit Card. Didnt handle this well - even though he didnt need my documents, he didnt explain anything clearly to me and left me standing there like I didnt exist. He needs a lot more training.

The Majestic indeed lived up to its name. Stepping into the hotel is like taking a step back into time. A wonderful place indeed. The staffs were all very helpful and friendly. We would be coming here again soon.

The breakfast is very good. Each night the maid put flowers on the bed. She give us a plate of cakes. The swimming pool is too small and there are only 6 deckchairs. The housekeeping service does not put the soap and shampoo every day.

excellent service especially in Malaysia . The service that u could hardly find in any 5 star hotel even in KL!!! If u want to enjoy English style "house butler " service.. here it. Thus, small kids will be very annoying in here. special thanks to Kenneth.... in telling us where to eat, where to go and etc. the swimming pool is so small that assume there is no pool in here
