Perfect for honeymooners and travelers looking for quiet luxury in the middle of the city. Beautifully decorated with exquisite details, coupled with super-friendly staff. Not so great for families with young children - very small swimming pool and too quiet. Having young children around might disrupt other guests. Also, the 'open-concept' / 'no locks' for the bathrooms provides no privacy with little children around.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Very warm welcome every time we stepped into the lobby and addressed us by name. Everyone had a smile on their face and gave us very personalised service. The free walking tour was a real highlight of our stay.

The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. They make you feel welcome all the time. The facilities are equivalent to a 5 star hotel although it is a boutique hotel. The interior of this hotel is very classic and well maintained. A good place to stay over the weekend to pamper ourselves once in awhile.

The room was so romantic and comfortable. Location is very near to the river with water taxi. The hotel staffs was very friendly. However the hotel surrounding area was very tight. The pool is too small, covered parking not available, the bathroom design is not suitable for family stay and only wired internet available in the room, no wifi.

Love the bathtub and 4 poster bed. The location is fair, its approximately 15-20 mins walk from Jonker street. Room is clean, staff is friendly and helpful with directions. Overall a recommended stay! The rooms are not very sound proof. On first day, we can hear kids from an adjacent room running around and on day 2, we were awaken up by next door filling the bathtub (or at least thats what it sounds like). The sound of water running was really loud and it went on for a while. I love the bathtub in our room, but the draining of it is also very loud.

All staff were excellent. Perception points very well-taken care of. Nice touch with the welcome tea and especially the free local traditional nuts and marie-sugar-icing biscuits from days of yore. Very attentive staff overall. Staff in Spa were also superb. Duty managers were all excellent and went the extra mile. Manager Mr Ong Hend Ley even walked my family all the way to a recommended restaurant about 150 metres away from the hotel. Brilliant lunch afterwards. New staff frontline frontdesk Mr Vinuod didnt take the trouble to explain to me about my check in even though I took out my reservation printout, Passport and Credit Card. Didnt handle this well - even though he didnt need my documents, he didnt explain anything clearly to me and left me standing there like I didnt exist. He needs a lot more training.

The breakfast is very good. Each night the maid put flowers on the bed. She give us a plate of cakes. The swimming pool is too small and there are only 6 deckchairs. The housekeeping service does not put the soap and shampoo every day.

Fantastic!! It is really an amazing vacation in Majestic Malacca Hotel. We spent 3 days to stay and totally have been melted in it.Gorgeous room, perfect room service, wonderful spa by a poolside.

The building's history and how this had been continued through to our experience. The provision of a free guided tour to introduce us to the city of Malacca.
