Why the after cleaning, the room area still have the ants?
Excellent checking in with good staff. The free welcome drink was very much appreciated. They packed a really good breakfast as we were leaving early. The wake up call and the taxi were on time.
We booked a room without a window but it didn't matter as we left early. Airport transfers would be great if provided.
The food was good The bed was good The facilities was good
The Ironing board, was not so good, because the board was not padded properly.
like most about customer service
Dislike remote location
Helpful staff and nice swimming pool.
The room are having black small ants around
quite place for relax n sleep
not really in town center
Free shuttle, budget friendly
Windows were noisy and wind was entering through the window causing the window blinds to shake and made noises
Cheap price, located in KK, free shuttle to town
Room is ok, noisy window blinds coming from outside wind, swimming pool is a bit small
Close to tourist attractions. I came to Kota to climb Mt. Kinabalu and scuba dive. Reasonable accommodations for price Excellent gym and pool in basement
Taxi waiting for guests outside overcharged me for short ride to Kota Kinabalu city centre Shady taxi driver that hotel porter knew and recommend
Large and clean room, friendly staff, swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere. It's possible to get a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
We stayed 3nights in a room without a window which actually had a window but you can see only a bit street which is nice-> you know if it's raining or not :D We stayed one night in a room with a window but it's quite same, a bit bigger room but more expensive, so take the room without! Comfortable beds, clean and quiet. Shopping mall giant is near, where you can eat in cheap local food stalls! They have free shuttle bus to city center, nice!
Wifi is sloooow even when we stayed in "better" room, don't pay for that, it's not worth it! Breakfast was included in that better room, but eeeeverything was cold in the buffet even though we were there early in the morning...so that's waste of money too! They took 150RM deposit from my credit card and did it accidently twice and once again when we arrived another time, not nice at all...
Staff are very friendly.
The door for the shower, it makes noise.
Some rooms are in the smelly basement of the hotel, without any mention on booking. The hotel is about 15minutes walking from tg city center
Room service was quite good
No complimentary breakfast
Staff were awesome, definitely went above and beyond to make sure we made the most of our time in KK. Located just outside the city centre but we walked there in 10 mins, there is also a free shuttle 3 times a day.
Free parking space Free wifi
good location, great swimming pool, easy to reach to airport, no complaints, staff friendly, room comfortable
Room has no windows at the basement.
Desk staff and door staff friendly. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was hot and the choices were good.
The staff in the breakfast room were very miserable. The bedroom window didn't fit properly which was an open invitation to creepy-crawlies... As others have mentioned, the hotel is a little further out of town and you generally need to get taxis. However, this was easy to do and they were cheap.
Reception and the pool was ok, although they were using strange ways to keep it clean but frankly I thought it was murky and smelly!
The cheapest room rate meant we were in the basement and had no wifi. This was not made clear before we booked. In addition we booked the hotel to have a day to relax before the arduous journey back to London Heathrow but relaxed was not how I felt after that night. Small dark rooms with no wifi, ants in the room, room finishes were not up to spec and you could hear people speaking outside our window, which looked out onto a brick wall, until 1am! The window looking at a wall was also not made clear to us on booking. We also had a very disappointing last meal in Malaysia which ended up in one member of our group becoming very I'll within 4hours of eating. To make matter worse the total staff refused to believe it was their food that caused it. Considering we hadn't eaten since breakfast and we all ate the same thing for breakfast there is no doubt in my mind what made her ill.
Loved the surrounds of hotel, staff very helpful and friendly
Location is fair.
I never seen any 4 stars hotel which has rooms locate in basement. I arrived almost at midnight. so I asked for late checkout. they gave me a hour only. and If I want more, I had to pay extra. so basically I stayed for 12 hrs only. and my shower was broken. had to call a technician at 2 am. I do not recommend this hotel.
