We only like service and location, because the hotel is stinky and poor. It don't cost its money. The rooms are clean, but very old and smelly Old, stinky hotel. Never stay there again. And not going to recommend it. But it's okay for budget one night sleep, because of location- 3 min by walk from Petronas Twin Towers. Air condition don't work well

The hotel overrated iteself as 4 stars, its really not worthing 2 stars, old hotel with old furniture and smelly carpts, it is close to twin towers, however the staff did not tell us that we had to be early at the towers to be able to get tickets, we ended up missing the tower visit.

The size of the apartment is very big The hotel is hard to find. The room smells bad, porter said they can freshened the room but it didn't happen. Furniture very old. Hot water didn't work, only worked after we called technician 2x. Even, it was still difficult to make it work afterwards. Sauna & jacuzzi didn't work. The public bathroom smells like piss. Lift's door didn't work once when we were in basement, we asked one of the staff, he fixed it without smiling or talking at all. Not a nice hotel to stay at all. Not recommended for anyone.

I like the embience of the Hotel. Looks like it has been mainatin well. The location of the suites is great. I hope I can spend more time at the rooms. Hope this message is taken seriously. Firstly the signage to the hotel was completely out of place. There were no proper signage to guide anyone who drives up there. The only big sign that suppose to be lighted up was blacked out. From the main road no proper signage leading to the Hotel. Secondly the toilets need major repairs. The bath tubs floods when used. Water drainage was very bad. The Carpets in the rooms have to be vaccumed cleaned. The Breakfast was very poorly setup. All the breads was hard. The corn flakes was soaked with air. Not crunchy. So for the comments but this one come from my personal experience I had. I am not picky as you might think. Trying to give a vaild feedback. Thanks

The rooms are big. Spacious. Quiet. Good amenities. Although the location is near KLCC, it is not really a very quick walk. You need to go through the park and it is especially difficult if it is raining . And for the few times that I took a taxi, the taxis do not even know how to get to The Zon and said they have never heard of it. And it was not one taxi driver. Though there are many facilities in the room, however, there were stains on the carpet around the room and for a Deluxe apartment, it looks like a superior room as well.

Zon is easy to get to and is in a perfect location. When traveling with more than 1 child, it is great to only have to book 1 suite instead of 2 rooms. When traveling as 2 couples, great to be able to stay together in one suite. The hotel is getting old and in need of refurbishment but it is good value at the moment. We will stay there again. Air conditioners need to be serviced. Mould in bathroom. But you get what you pay for. Overall, good value for money.

Location was fantastic, 5 minute stroll through the beautiful city gardens to get to Suria kl shopping at the base of the Petrona's twin towers, you must go there at night and see the beautiful water show out the front and seeing the petronas twin towers lit up at night from the windows of the room was fantastic, and a beautiful view of the mosque and it's lights below. Staff were friendly and helpful, and so was the security on the gates. The hotel does not have any no smoking floors or rooms, the mosque plays very very very loud prayers/music at 9pm and 5am, and it is loud! There was a building going up next to it and my mum heard them tapping away from very early hours from her room on other side of building. The swimming area needs renovating, the plastic around the edge of the pool is missing and broken in parts, quite dangerous. The kitchen in the apartment wasn't very clean, I would not prepare food there, but you do get nice food down in the restaurant.

Reasonable priced facility which was very centrally located to klcc and transport. Ideal family suites that were convenient located within a short walk to a park and playground for the children, which then led on to the central shopping complex within the twin towers area.

This place is dated and extremely 80's, quite rundown and tired. The saving grace is the pool, which is great, and the fantastic location overlooking the twin towers. The food is pretty good too. Seems to me that kl has better value for money than this place and I wish I had paid an extra 50 a night and gone for something more upmarket. If you're looking for a 3 star and no more, you wont be disappointed. Draw your own conclusions but upon leaving, the staff quoted us 100 ringit for a cab even though the going rate is 80, and when we asked the cab driver, he laughed and said the 20 was going into the staff's pocket. Kinda understandable given their no doubt low wages, but leaves a poor taste in your mouth all the same.

Large rooms, tea and coffee facilities were useful, but there is no toaster or rice cooker as advertised in the Tourist Board's booklet (the Zon is on the last page). The view of the Petronas Towers is great, and there is a Gloria Jean Coffee Bar nearby which local business people use, but it's closed at weekends. Very few Brits use it, mainly Indians, a few Kiwis and Aussies. Pool is o.k. but small and can get crowded. Nearest metro station is Ampang Park. Breakfast very repetitive, but the Egg Station waiter was good. Reception Staff knew very little about public transport, any enquiries were met with "Take a Tour" or "Take a taxi" and they gave us actual wrong info. About getting to Melaka by bus and train, which cost us dearly in money, time and getting wet!!! And when I mentioned we had been to Shah Alam (a stunning Mosque) on our own, she looked at us in amazement!! The Malaysian Tourist Board are also not very helpful, they seem to make life hard for independant travellers on limited budgets who don't like mass groups or tours.

After reading lots of bad review, I was surprised because everythings seem good. Aircon, cleanliness, staff were helpful. The only negative would be the carpet which is dirty. The rest, thumbs up!

My family and I visited kl almost every year for the last 15 years and we tried many service apartment but in the end we came back and stayed at the the zon. Why? It is family friendly service apartment equipped with all the cooking equipment/utensils, laundery services plus the staff are fiendly. Value for money is top. No major complaints except: 1. To improve the food for breakfast for more variety. 2. Find ways to tell your customers/guests NOT TO WASTE FOOD. I saw many times that many guests at the ZON (and elsewhere too) took so much food at breakfast and then only ate half of it. A big waste and inconsiderate too.

Location and Room spaciousness; breakfast Carpetted areas dusty. Left black marks on feet. Water running from tap chalky brown. When reported to reception helpdesk, one of the staff mentioned that the water tank was in the process of cleaning and advised to let tap run for a while before using. This should have been communicated to us upon checking in.Till next day, the water was a little clear but not totally.

Very dated and dirty. All pool loungers broken. Lifts scary as door would get stuck, felt like lift was about to break down. Nearly all guests were Middle Eastern, with women wearing burkas. I have no problem with that, but we were constantly given dirty looks or rudely stared for wearing modest bikinis at the pool! The staff were polite. The photos shown on booking.com are extremely misleading. The Zon is a worn out old hotel that either needs pulling down, or major rennovations and refurbishment. I travel a lot, (and always use booking.com), this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in!
