Traders Hotel, Penang

Nice rooms, and nice location.

Bathroom needs a bit of updating. The hotel is next to a construction site. We asked to move to the other side and the staff were very helpful in moving us.

The reception staffs are very helpful

We booked 2 rooms next to each other for 2 families, the check-in was a big mess, the reception mistaken other guests checking in one of our rooms. When we came in, the bed already has been used, only 1 tower were available in the bathroom. The room service was really bad, we asked the room cleaning staff to provided us 3 towers for each room, when we came back at the end of the day, there were no towers in both rooms.We had to ask for the second time. It happened 2 times for my friend's room. The toilet in our room was very smelly, not very sure about the cleaning but thinking it must be from the drainage system which is old and not well maintained. The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy, but have to pay MYR44/person, which is quite expensive.

Staying at Traders was a 3-day R&R for us after 3 weeks in India. All the staff were terrific, and couldn't do enough for us. We loved being right in the heart of Georgetown, where we could explore the city, and do some shopping. Traders has a coach to take guests between the hotel and their beach resort, which was a fun thing to do for a day. We had a totally enjoyable stay at Traders Hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Loved everything about Traders.

Enjoy the stay because of it's comfortable & cleanness of the room with well equip amenities, friendliness of the staffs & most important the extremely convenient location, walking distance to food centre, shopping mall & public bus terminal (that excess to all sightseeing places). Appreciate the arrangement of free shuttle transport to Golden Sands Resort which we can enjoy the beach area of Penang.

The only thing is the pillow, alittle too soft, but this is subject to individual preference.

Only downsidenwas the slow response of the internet. Had to sit bybthe door to get the page to turn

good location for shopping and enjoing the city

small pool, old style of the rooms, you cant feel a warm atmosphere in the hotel. if you want to stay near the beach dont choose traders hotel, it takes you about 45 minutes to the next nice beach. but they have a free shuttlebus to the beach every 2 hours!!

We've have stayed there before and find its location very convenient. Rooms are always comfortable and staff friendly.

We had to call Room Service to clean up our room. They could have been busy due to the CNY holidays.
