“ The nice airconditioned room. The Eland came so close to the establischment. I could sit watching them on the deck. We were watching the game while we had our dinner. The frendly people at the lodge!!! ”

The food, the room, the staff and the atmosphere was very nice. We really felt very special!! There were some loud guests who made it a little uncomfortable. I had some trouble with the booking because I had to pay for the dinner before we arrived and at the end I found out the the dinner is included in the price? The account is not sorted out yet??

All the buildings and the lawn, everything looked well kept..... No gauze at the windows, no mosquitonets, no refrigerator and hairdryer, for that price it should be in the room...one has to sign that no beverages or alc. drinks may be kept in the room, otherwise you will be charged a fine of N$500.00, which is unacceptable...is this a hostel??

The building, pool and food were exceptional. The local staff were incredibly lovely and very friendly, though it seemed that none of them had received appropriate training. This place could be truly exceptional if the management were more interested in their guests experience. The setting is beautiful and the water features a welcome relief from the heat of the day. The chef and wait staff are of a truly high calibre - without doubt one of the best meals we have had in Namibia. The wild birds, waterhole and gardens were a delight. 1) On arrival we were shown to a room without a bathtub we had specifically booked. We were then given a room with tub but needed to clean the bugs out. 2) We were asked to give the maid our key in the middle of dinner just before dessert was served - and then finished our meal and went to our room expecting to find her. It took almost half an hour for hotel staff to locate the maid with our key so we could get in to our room and go to bed! This wasn't great as we were completely exhausted and one of us sat outside the room while my partner hovered at reception. 3) The next day when we returned from Etosha there was no-one at the gate and we were unable to get into the resort! We telephoned and the phone rang out - we had to beep our horn and yell from the gate and then when we had attracted someone's attention had to wait for them to send someone with a key to let us in. Considering that we had left the Namutoni gates before closing and driven directly to Emanya we thought this was bizarre - and embarrassing for us as guests. No apology was offered. We were hot and went straight to the bar - the manager ignored my partner and continued looking at till slips and when other guests arrived then said that someone would be there soon to serve us. Then someone proceeded to set the bar up - while we explained which bottle was the Cinzano Bianco because they didn't know! 4) The wine is rudely overpriced - $35 for a glass of cask wine is insulting - all other wine available was quite expensive and guests are told they will be fined if they eat/drink anything that is not purchased on site!! 5) There is no mini-bar in the room - not even glasses or a bottle of water!

The very high level of service and the excellent staff. The beautifull design of the hotel, especialy the main buildings. The high quality of the food. Infact, it was a rare experience. The animals roosting behind room 13 and 14 can be smelly at times .

Eigenes beleuchtetes Wasserloch.

Warm welcome. Very good service and very friendly staff. Excellent food. Open space. The only inconvenient, if any, is due to Etosha np policy as the permit is no more valid if you go out of the park even if the permit is for 24 hours.

Perfect stay. The staff will do anything to help you with everything. The setting is beautiful. Candles alongside the swimmingpool at night. They offer a five course menu every night for a affordable price. The room is very nice with a big bathroom. They offer game drives as well but they do not push you to do so. We stayed 3 nights but we wish we could have stayed longer. Also they light a nice fire at night so you can sit and watch animals at the waterhole.

The kindness of the staff is amazing. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. The food was really good. The sound of the animals in the morning is pure relaxation. The design of the hotel is very nice. Great place for a quiet stay and relaxation. There is a great free foot massage. Great value for money. It could offer more activities.
