I liked the view from the rooms watching animals outside...
I ddnt like the way they offer dinner without giving a menu, they shud realy change that....
The grounds are breathtaking! The rooms are very spacious, clean and have TV & AC. They have a spectacular viewing platform that overlooks a waterhole that attracts many wild animals including giraffe. We just loved the daily complimentary foot massages! This lodge is very modern, peaceful and relaxing. Although we do not have small children, it seemed to be very child friendly as well. Will definitely be referring Emanya@Etosha to family and friends.
We wished the bar was better equipped for a larger variety of cocktails and garnishes. Although we were happy with the five course planned meal approach and the fabulous presentation, we thought the quality could be better. Better cuts of meat and more of the local game meats.
Everything was great
food tasty but diet portions
Food the cleanliness and the staff was good.
They don't have a game drive.
if looking for a perfect location serving good food integrated into nature this is the place to be
Everything but the dinner
Ultramodern architecture. Nice touches like candles lit in the guestrooms while customers are at dinner. Complimentary foot massage!
Dinner portions were quite small. DSTV, but only one channel.
Very attractive facade & welcoming facility Layout of entire establishment Green lawns & manicured garden Animal viewing deck & waterhole Very comfortable & spacious bedrooms & bathrooms
Curtains that kept slipping from the rods Windows that wouldn't close A window pane that threatened to fall out entirely Noisy parrots Dogs in public spaces Enclosed tortoises will become a major hygiene problem
Emanya was the best place we have stayed in Namibia. Very closed to Namutoni, is really a luxury lodge with an affordable price.
Very modern, minimalist design, overall quite pleasing. Open-air inclusive foot massage a good touch. Restaurant staff good and the food was OK.
Large, unfriendly, common parts. Restaurant bleakly lit, like eating in an aircraft hangar with tables 6 metres apart. No information at all anywhere about the hotel or the area or things to do. Staff unable to help. Two days before arriving, discovered (from a reliable friend) the history of the owner having been brought to book for allegedly keeping a lion in a caravan for six years. This seems to be denied but where there is smoke there is often fire. Despite the five-star billing, Emanya doesn't even pay lip-service to such a designation. It is pleasant enough and serviceable for the money but still fairly basic.
staff was great, good food.
the food was good, but not enough for a person like me with a big apetite.
Beautiful place! Food was delicious. You can watch animals from a viewing pavillion.
As a couple we would have preferred one big mattress instead of 2 together with a gap between. Dinner was delicious but we weren't so hungry and it's not possible to order something small a la carte. You have to go for the 5 course menu.
the Hotel is an beatifull architecture work. Well decorated and with beautifull rooms. you can also eat well at the restaurant for a good price. i would say this was one of the best places i stayed during my holidays in namibia.
the services could be better. Staff should have proper working clothes. Need some music in the Lounge areas and Bar.
The staff and service at Emanya was way above average. The entire staff from the maintenance help to the kitchen staff and the front desk was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The animal viewing area is the best in the area. We would definitely return.
Beautiful accomodation and very good valuie for money. A really lovely place to stay.
Was very cold in the restauarant
It was 6 star. I liked the staff, facilities, animals, foot massages, warm water bottles in bed, bonfire at night, afternoon tea and cake, the wonderful food, the bedding, the nice big bath and bedroom.
I liked everything.
Excellent food, comfortable rooms, friendly staff
The room was not made up for our second day which us surprizing as the rate per night is quite high
Very nice surroundings; very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable.
The food is good, but over-elaborate and, perhaps a little pretentious -- a bit like the bush trying to be New York, rather than just being the bush ! The main issue with the lodge is the over design of the public facilities and aspects of the accommodation. The main building features water channels which, when lighting is poor, become water hazards ( my wife injured herself on one ). Also design features of ( for example ) the bar, which make it look pleasing, makes it entirely impractical ( the counter is too low for comfort ). Extensive use of unmarked glass, also, creates opportunities for people walking into doors etc. Finally, the use of smooth cement sloping floors in the shower, and absence of handrails, makes it hazardous, when wet and slippery. I understood from staff that there have been several accidents involving guests, but that nothing has been done to reduce the hazards, The possiblity of injury and law suits exists, if features not remedied.
