The design of the lodge and its rooms, the staff's efficiency, courtesy and friendliness, the bontebok grazing on the lawn, the pool to cool off in in Namibia's January heat, .... we could go on and on!! Thank you for a lovely, well-run, and beautifully sited place. We'll definitely be back!
Absolutely nothing we didn't find first class. Thank you.
The location is very nice
The breakfast was not good
Staff was friendly and the lodge is great Easy access to the park Food was good Great place to let go and Relax
The cleaning of the room failed once The cleaning of the pool is a poor service They can do better
Meals were very expensive... For south african tourists and no light meals available.
Everything was great the wild life food, staff, rooms amazing
Not enough time to enjoy
I have liked the tranquility, the space in general, liked to see the animals. Also liked the employees , specially in the dinners, they are nice.
1. The Air Condit. did not work in one of room when we have complaned at the reception they just said that the lodge was full so no other room for change, however nobody have appeared to repair the AC. Consequency we have to sleep without air fresh... 2. The ares of SPA and GYN should be in better condition of cleaness and decor. 3. Missed leisure options, apart of safari and swimming pool no much options to do...Bar Marula was always closed, nobody in the tennis sector nor in the snoocker to guide the clients....
nice rooms resident kudus and mongooses staff food bar area
2nd pool was out of order spa area was quite a way from the main hotel
Room was made up with towels in a heart form - my wife was impressed. Also the bottle of sparkling wine ; lovely thought Lapa and swimming pool with the warm weather lovely. The cheeky squirrels running around. Friendly staff . And of course the breakfast
Menu was set menu and only after we had said the food was too much were we told we needed only to pay for what we ate - this after having done the whole menu -food is then too much and a waste. Iahd asked for a room near the pool and retaurant but were housed in the unit right at the end (room 143)
Lodge area, food, pool, fascilities
That I had To go back home
Perfectly located for excursions to Etosha, at 3 minutes from the Von Lindenquist gate. beautiful garden (with mongoose and ground squirrels for entertainment) and pool area. Dinner and breakfast buffet varied and of very high quality. Friendly and attentive staff who like their job (bravo management! ) A place to feel at home. Highly recommended in spite of the two small points for improvement mentioned.
Two small issues : very noisy fan in bathroom, no privacy outside (spacious, and very nice) rooms because all neighbours have to use the connecting flagstone path just in front of the rooms.
Indigenious staff was very friendly - room has been good, but Hotel is going slowly down according to missing maintainance and investions. Animals at the lodge are cute! (Blessbok and Zebra-Manguste)
Food was one evening o.k. - one evening very poor. Springbook you couldn`t eat. Lamp was even not very good. The White Manager gave the Impression to take care, but didn`t finish the Job. The whole aircon at the Gym was broken. Temperature was very hot. Also here maintainance was missing.
The location: immediately outside the Namutoni gate. Also the food: excelent.
That I had to leave early...
Wonderful staff, wonderful location and very comfortable rooms
good kitchen ! overall nice and friendly staff (with some exceptions see "-")
most staff members OK, but hotelmgmt tried to provide double room instead of familyroom booked over 3 months in advance ! Incredible ! Also printing an invoice seemed to be very difficult (strange for a five star accommodation)
Bit disappointed in the cleanliness of the room dust and very stuffy and no towels in shower Sauna not working properly and Jacuzzui not working will have to reconsider to come back
The broken jacuzzi, the steam cost too much 150 per session per person, dusty rooms and not enough tv channels..
Springbok and wild life in the surrounding gardens
We booked a suite. After a trip to the park and returning to our room after 2.00pm, it was still not made up. I was also under the impression that one had dining options. Not only a buffet for R250 per person per night. This can work out very expensive for a family. Couldn't book in to the spa - fully booked every time.
