Easy to find on Mandela Avenue. Near the famous Joe's Restaurant and a supermarket. Parking available. Room and bathroom (with bath tube and shower) big enough for two. Good breakfast buffet included.
Wifi only in the main building. Swimming pool area could be cleaner. Slow service. Staff seems not very interesting in their job and informed about sorrounding.
free wifi, clean service, heated floors
apartments location. its in the midle of nowhere. they could at least cut the grass and bush around. impossible to stay there if do not have a car as almost impossible to get a taxi from there. less privacy as there are some kids around. and a barking dog...
location, rooms are good,
but the staff are shocking. No one interested in the guests, seems like a bunch of varsity students on a vacation job. Had to find some "service"(: Shocking - will not be back!
Good service Good food at restaurant
Initially concerned on arrival, as the apartment I booked was a kilometer away from hotel. I didn't know it was away from hotel. But it was nice, comfortable and I actually enjoyed the location as it was quiet and peaceful
friendly and helpful staff
close to business location
STAFF UNFRIENDLY food not very nice except the curry and oxtail
Room too small and cluttered with furniture to the extent that we couldn't get our suitcase through the door without bashing the bedside table and passing them over the bed. No wi fi in our room.
Some of the staff were rude The room was small
The staff seems to be not very informed what is in the room or not.
Shuttle was reasonably priced
Too far from town
Overall experience was fine. The staff is very friendly and in general helpful.
The rooms were very cold, but when you got the fan working, the situation got better. Even though the staff is friendly and helpful, it is quite clear that many members of the staff lack professional training, which is reflected in the quality and promptness of the services at the hotel. Nonetheless, as said, the overall experience was fine, the hotel fulfilled the needs for this kinf of trip. I maybe wouldn't recommend it for families with small children in wintertime, as the room truly was cold.
I question credit card confidentiality as card details were used elsewhere within a few days. We were put in an apartment without the security of parking as advertised. Underfloor heating stuck on with no instruction to alter. Aircon not working therefore needed windows and doors open. One room was obviously a smoking room which had been sealed and stank. The director had a very noisy party directly above us and we were unable to sleep. The maintenance manager carried on the party in a room next door and every detail could be heard through the thin walls. We had come to town to do a cycle race and needed a peaceful nights sleep. We were lucky if we got a few hours sleep. I complained to the manager on duty who was the personnel manager. I was promised a response but to no avail.
the food, service and ambience
My room was a bit small
Amazing staff and food. Why stay in a chain hotel when you can truly enjoy an independent experience. Cool conference center the staff is so kind. I will miss everyone.
No English movies. Wifi in garden area a bit slow. Could be a little cleaner. Easy to let this go as the staff really works hard at making you happy and achieve this so well.
The evening buffet is marvelous
the service was good and all the staff were very helpful, effective and friendly. we had a wonderful stay and the breakfast was good.
Very nice restaurant and friendly staff
The bathroom could do with an upgrade. It was a bit dated compared to the room
Excellent staff - food service and reception. Rooms were comfortable.
Lack of water for flushing toilet several mornings. Toilet seat broken. Wi-fi spotty - had to go outside room to connect.
Excellent rooms, very kind staff en good food!
The WiFi generally worked. The head Housekeeper was very friendly and helpful.
Lack of truth in advertising: 1. My first room had a view of the parking lot, although the internet info said "all rooms with a view of tropical garden". There were at least 3 such "no view" rooms. I asked to be moved, and the next room, with view, though called "deluxe", was mini, except for the bath. 2. No way is it only a "15 min. walk to town" as advertised. Maybe to the tail end of Independence Ave., but that is still far from the centre of town with shops and restaurants. Finally, my whole local workshop group and I got food poisoning from lunch: massive cramps and the runs at night. It was the only meal we all shared, so the cause had to be the hotel's lunch. One of the staff said about it "Oh you must have eaten too much!" Not amused.
I liked the food and bar area
I did not like the lack of interest from the staff...I was never asked once if I was enjoying my stay or if I was comfortable which I am used to in hotels in SA and other countries. Also every time I sat at the bar I was totally ignored and had to call one of the bar tenders to get service. I did not like the fact that my partner and I could not use the pool area as there were always people, who were using the conference facilities, milling around
Cosy, home atmosphere
Parking - need more
The hotel has wonderful staff and a very nice bar/restaurant! It would be nice if the rooms would reflect the stile of the restaurant.
the rooms could be a little bit bigger!
