Well situated within walking distance to shops & restaurants. Free Wi-Fi. Quiet area. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.

One block from the oceanfront. The lady in charge was very knowledgeable about things to see in the town.

They also have a restaurant and diners sometimes dine in the garden, right outside your door.

I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly owners and staff as well as the beautiful, quiet garden. On Christmas day the tables were decorated beautifully and the breakfast buffet was "festive". The Bistro served tasty pizzas in the evening.

I would have appreciated a small fridge in the room to keep water cold, specifically on the days I left very early in the morning for excursions, before the communal areas were open.

The mattress is not comfortable

What was advertised and what you get are two different things. The owners are not friendly. After two nights of not sleeping we had to ask them to change the matresses on our beds. We will definately not stay there again.

This is a gem of a guest-house in a town characterised by rather gloomy and unattractive accommodation. The gardens are refreshing and the rooms are simply but very well designed. Breakfast is very good. The staff are all charming - I cannot see how some of other rveiewers found them at all unfriendly. It's very central, a short walk from the beach and the famous jetty.

If I was really picky I could say the heater in aour room was not quite up to the job - Swakopmund can get quite cold - that's why Windhoekers go there!

The family who ran this guesthouse took very good care of us during our 2 day stay. They recommened places to visit and ideal shopping spots. The breakfast served was outstanding, anything you could ask for! We would definitely stay at the Secret Garden again.

We had a wonderful room overlooking the garden.

Discreet entry to a delightful courtyard. A feeling of safety, security and relaxation. Hosts accommodating. Fine little bistro attached to guesthouse. Good breakfast.

At time of writing the owners have a number of dogs (a couple of ancient ones) which have the run (and use) of the courtyard and communal lounge in the afternoon/evening which may not be to everyone's liking. Wi-fi available in the lounge only. Quite firm bed.

Everything: the staff, the accomodation and the location. I traveled with my babygirl and everyone help a lot :)

It was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were nice and thhe staff friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast aswell.

The heater in the room didn't work. The colour and decor of room was overly blue. It needed some warm colours.

since the moment I stopped in front of the place there was this "Feel at home" ambience. Once entering the door one is greeted by friendly people. And the fact that I could do a hassle free online booking was a plus.

Not too friendly for families; Felt that they did not want children there; Entrance/exit through a side service door was unpleasant; Parking facilities cumbersome, always had to get hold of the gardener to switch off alarm for both entry and exit; Very little facilities; No cutlery in kitchen; Detest shower curtains, showering unpleasant - should install a shower door. Beds were hard and uncomfortable

Suggestions: for eco-friendly environment, to support hotel's save power and water campaign, it might be better to give option to guests if the towels are still in use hang them, if need replacement, put them on the floor:) cheers

L'accueil par les propriétaires très prévenants et très attentifs. La jardin est très agréable.

Les lits un peu durs

Mir persönlich hat das Ambiente sehr gut gefallen und ich habe mich direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu bemerken ist noch, dass direkt ein Bistro angegliedert ist, wo man ausgezeichnet Pizza essen kann. Das Hotel liegt zentral in Stadt und Strandnähe. Wir würden dieses Hotel immer wieder bei einem Besuch in Swakopmund wählen!

Der gruene Innenhof war grossartig, das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, die Zimmer sind geraeumig und liebevoll eingerichtet.

Ruhig gelegen, in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Strand und zum Zentrum. Schöner abgeschirmter Innenhof mit Sitzgelegenheiten unter Palmen. Einfach und zweckmäßig möbliert. Safe im Zimmer. Durch Alarmanlage bewachter Parkplatz. WLAN im Bereich der Rezeption kostenlos. Frühstück vielseitig und gut.

Betten sehr hart.
